CHAPTER 74

After a day, Erza and Jellal brought a limping Elfman to Porlyusica to check his wounds. After his fight with Laxus, he sustained multiple injuries. A few broken bones and a few cracked ribs, but aside from that, he was fine. He still wasn't that mobile though. In fact, even Elfman said that he should just go home and rest there but Erza was adamant that Master Makarov wanted him to be check by Porlyusica just in case the doctors in Freesia Town miss something. So the young take-over mage acquiesce.

It was there he saw Mira waiting for him to arrive. The moment Mira saw his younger brother, she ran towards him and gave him a hug.

"ouch", Elfman said in pain due to Mira slamming towards him to hug him.

Mira immediately let go and said, "I'm sorry. I'm just so glad that you are okay".

"Me too", Elfman replied.

"Enough talking, immediately enter my house so that I could check up on you. I have a lot of things to do today", Polyusica demanded.

Not wanting to make the older woman wait anymore and making her madder, Elfman immediately did as he was told. He went inside Polyusica's house, thus leaving Jellal, Erza, and Mira outside.

Mira turns to Erza and said, "Thank you for taking my brother here". She looks at the person accompanying Erza and she could vaguely tell that he looks familiar.

Realizing the odd look Mira was giving Jellal, Erza introduced him, "Mira I would like to introduce Jellal. He is Seigrain's twin brother". Erza needed to introduce Jellal in such a manner. This was done to collaborate with the statement that the Magic Council released to the public. Erza didn't like lying but this was necessary to help Jellal.

"Nice to meet you, Jellal", Mira said as she shook Jellal's hand.

"We were meeting with the Magic Council to help Jellal out with his problem when we suddenly learn about what happened in Freesia Town. We immediately left afterward", Erza replied. She paused for a while and had a conflicted expression on her face and said, "What happened to Laxus? Did Master Makarov punish him?".

"Yes… He is no longer a member of the guild…He was excommunicated", Mira said.

The news was a surprise to Erza. She would have never thought the Master Makarov would kick someone, let alone his own grandson out of the guild. As a master, Makarov is an incredibly lenient leader, he talks about his dismay about the damages the guild members were doing in their missions but he doesn't actually reprimand them. This just shows that Makarov's limit is when you harm your fellow guild members.

"Where's master now?", Erza asked.

"I don't know. An hour after he kicked Laxus out of the guild, he temporarily placed Macao in charge of all the guild activities. He promptly left soon after. I visited the guild earlier today but Macao said that Master Makarov still hasn't returned"

"I see..", Erza then looks at Jellal and she said to Mira, "Will you excuse us both Mira. I will be taking Jellal to the guild so that he could officially join Fairy Tail".

"Of course, thank you again", Mira stated.

A FEW MINUTES LATER:

The two of them soon entered the guild and they were greeted with the same jovial atmosphere the guild was known for. Macao could be seen talking with Wakaba at the counter of the bar.

The two of them walk to the counter and Erza introduced Jellal to the two members.

"Macao, this is the newest member of the guild, Jellal. Master Makarov already approved him joining the guild, he only needs his guild mark", Erza said to Macao.

For a brief moment, Macao looks at Jellal's face and said with interest in his voice, "Jellal?... So, you're the twin brother of Seigrain, huh".

"..y--Yes, unfortunately, I am", Jellal said with pain in his voice.

"I see", Macao nodded. "Since Master Makarov already approve it then it's fine by me. I'll get the stamp, you wait here". Before Macao could enter Makarov's office he looks back at Jellal and asked, "Oh yeah, before I forget, what color do you want?".

Jellal thought of it for a while and he said blue.

As the two of them were waiting for Macao to get the stamp, the figure of Kagura holding her sword could be seen entering the guild. The two of them looks at Kagura and she also did the same. Kagura narrowed her eyes as she alternated looking at Jellal and Erza.

The moment that Macao returned from Makarov's office, he immediately noticed that something was amiss. Both Erza and Jellal had a pained and somewhat guilty look on their faces, while Kagura was giving the two of them a hostile glare.

"What's going on?", Macao asked.

Before Erza or Jellal could speak, Kagura spoke first and said, "Nothing". She turned around and was about to exit the guild when Jellal grabs her arm and said in an apologetic way, "I'm sorry about what I did, Kagura".

The members of the guild who were just having breakfast before they leave thought something juicy was happening. Perhaps a lovers triangle?

"Unhand me!", Kagura said with venom in her voice.

Jellal seeing that his actions had made the situation worst immediately lets go of Kagura and he apologizes once again.

"Kagura, you know what happened in the boat. It was explained to you when we got back from the resort", Erza said.

On the way back from the Tower of Heaven, Kagura saw the frozen body of Jellal. She wanted to destroy it but Enzo stop her and told her of the hypothesis that he had about Jellal. This promptly stopped her from attacking him. This was then proven true when she read the statement of the Magic Council about Jellal being the twin brother of Seigrain. She already knew that Enzo and perhaps Master Makarov had a hand in solving Jellal's problem.

No matter how she didn't like Jellal for what he did to her brother, she had to reluctantly accept the fact that he was being controlled. But that didn't mean that she accepted him as a friend. If he will join the guild then the two of them will be workmates, nothing more, and that includes Erza as well.

"It doesn't matter. I will never be friends with the two of you", Kagura stated.

The members of the guild began to be excited about the drama that was unfolding in front of them. Nearly all of them stop eating and were now focusing their attention on the three individuals.

"No please don't do that", Jellal said. He looks at Erza and then towards Kagura and said, "Perhaps I shouldn't join the guild. I can't allow friendship to be broken because of me".

"It doesn't matter if your here or not. Erza is no longer a friend of my mine", Kagura said as she held her blade tightly.

"...Look, if you hit me, Would that help?", Jellal asked.

Not wanting to listen to him anymore, Kagura turned around and was about to exit the guild when Jellal suddenly shouted.

"I know you want to hurt me! I played with your brother's life! I made him waste his childhood years in making a stupid tower. I manipulated him for my own benefit"

The more Kagura listened the more she became angry. She subconsciously held the hilt of her sword and started flaring her magic as she looks at Jellal.

Seeing Kagura's reaction, Jellal continued, "I know you want to hurt me! I know you are still angry at me! I know you want to deliver the justice that your brother deserves!". Jellal looks directly at the hostile and angry eyes of Kagura and said, "Here I am standing in front of you. I am asking you to deliv---".

Before Jellal could finish talking, Kagura dashes towards him and unsheathed her blade. With anger in her eyes, she wanted to deliver an attack that would greatly hurt Jellal.

"CLANK!"

Kagura was shocked when her blade was suddenly blocked by Erza's sword. Erza looks at Kagura and said, "I sorry Kagura...but I can't let you do that".
