The people of the alpha plane have made it their hobby to enter the dungeons of other worlds and conquer them. Naturally not everyone is happy with this as dark undercurrents begin to work against the conquerors.

As some people die in the dungeons they are made an offer. To give up their humanity in order to live on. 
Guy, a veteran carrier, is one of them, he can't bear to leave his family alone and accepts. From then on he must fight in the dungeons but as a monster while simultaneously continuing his life in the alpha plane in the shape of a human.
Jade, an elite adventurer, also accepts the offer but her intent is solely to get revenge on those who killed her and make humanity suffer for her life.
Monica, a little girl not native to the alpha plane is pulled into the happenings due to her childish innocence.

Counter Dungeon-Delving

"Oh right. This is Guy, the new employee we hired a while back. And these two are his daughters Quinn and Cassidy. Guy isn't working today and brought his daughters to show them his workplace. We were just finished with everything else and I decided to offer the girls five minutes of jacuzzi time."


"How delightful. The crossing of our stars must have been dictated by fate. But five minutes are such a short while. Why don't the two of you come in with me? I would enjoy having someone to discuss the mysteries of the universe with."


Both my girls look a bit intimidated by the confident way she carries herself in this conversation. And to them, Libra was still a stranger.


"Quinn, Cassidy, this is lady Libra. She is one of the company's investors and a great benefactor to our wellness facilities. I envy you a little for the offer you got. Lady Libra is one of the few people alive who get full access to all services we offer."


"We'll go with you. I want to try everything."


Cassidy immediately agrees and Quinn just shrugs her shoulders before nodding. Who would say no to an offer like that? 


But more importantly, what am I going to do while they are inside?


Navi, two of them are my daughters and the third one is a dungeon master that has reached godhood. Why would I want to peek at them?


How strong even is Libra? I could look at her with my instructor's assessment skill but I've been holding off on doing so. Being a goddess and all Libra should absolutely be capable of detecting my attempt to see her status. And pissing her off is not what I intend to do.


My intentions to pry must have been visible on my face because suddenly Libra's voice echoes in my head similar to how Navi's does.


'If you wish to look you may. The fruits of your labor shall be your reward for trying.'


I look at Libra with the intent to see her status and what I get is this:


Is her level in the four-digit range?!!!


<She'd wipe the floor with most of us. Darwin and a few of the branch managers are the only ones who are perhaps capable of facing her.>


If the dungeon masters are this strong then why do they even need us?


<Don't underestimate the humans. They have plenty of strong people amongst them. Particularly the paragons are quite capable of taking down a minor god should they work together. Perhaps some are even capable of killing minor gods themselves.>


And we are supposed to stop that kind of people? How?


I am not sure what to read next so why don't you choose. I'll take a seat first.


I never understood why but empty waiting rooms give off such a calming atmosphere. The nicely placed lighting, enough to feel everything is properly lit but not overly bright, the open sitting arrangement that makes the room feel less packed, and the background music that seems to invite you to take a short nap or just relax your mind for a couple of minutes.


I sit in a cushioned chair close to a mahogany coffee table and wait for my first book. Only moments later Tele's blue body hops out of thin air. She gives a short bow to Navi and hands me the book I'm supposed to read.


Now that I know of its existence I immediately spot the tentacle extending from her back to a barely visible fracture in space. Tele follows my gaze, blushes deeply, and vanishes like she was never there in the first place.


She seems like a shut-in type of person. I wonder what she does in her free time.


That game that came out a while back? The one with the monk trying to reach immortality or something. Cassidy talked about it but with our financial situation only improving recently and her studies taking precedent, she said that she would opt for the next game from that company. 


So she's on the biggest streaming platform there is... What's her username?


I think Quinn sometimes watches her. She mentioned something about a game concerning ancient Roman warfare. 


But isn't it dangerous to let a monster have such drastic interactions with society? What if she's found out?
