The people of the alpha plane have made it their hobby to enter the dungeons of other worlds and conquer them. Naturally not everyone is happy with this as dark undercurrents begin to work against the conquerors.

As some people die in the dungeons they are made an offer. To give up their humanity in order to live on. 
Guy, a veteran carrier, is one of them, he can't bear to leave his family alone and accepts. From then on he must fight in the dungeons but as a monster while simultaneously continuing his life in the alpha plane in the shape of a human.
Jade, an elite adventurer, also accepts the offer but her intent is solely to get revenge on those who killed her and make humanity suffer for her life.
Monica, a little girl not native to the alpha plane is pulled into the happenings due to her childish innocence.

Counter Dungeon-Delving

And what am I supposed to do? Can I train some skull goblins to man those turrets the army gunners brought?


So no skull goblin gunners. Then what are those numerous things that I can do?

Enough with the mindless violence! It's supposed to be a good thing if I improve.


<It's a latent skill all goblins and similar species have. Before it awakens as a skill, it does little more than improve accuracy when hitting targets that are running away. Once unearthed it doubles your stats and sharply reduces your stamina depletion so long as fleeing opponents remain in your field of vision.>


That does seem like a crazy buff skill.


Now that you mention it, I did not lose any stats this time. Even when I evolved the skull goblin censors.


So what exactly did this level up of instructing bring me?


That skill is awesome! Do I get a pay rise?


I want to give my daughters and my wife the best life I possibly can! Money is a necessary tool to achieve that. Speaking of money, that loan…


After Navi quotes me the number I need to take a few seconds to process it. That's a nice bonus.


I suppose I should be a bit more willing to spend money. I could also get the girls something they like. Their birthday gifts weren't always what they deserved. Time to make up for that!

Navi sounds sad, like there is a weight pulling her down. A bad experience in the past.
