outer sect competition

days and months have passed and only one day remained before the competition. so outer disciples were both nervous and excited and were preparing some goods before leaving the city tomorrow.

as for ken he was busy with refining pills as the orders were coming more and more in time . the outer disciples were the culprits and ken was looking happy unlike other alchemists because after many days he could eat pills in bulk today .

after absorbing the elf bloodline ken returned to the simple life of refining pills , eating , cultivating occasionally and reading books . ken naturally tried to learn the techniques for his affinities and learned them at godly speed.

for space his affinity was only second to wood element . so ken only learned one technique which was travelling through space and mastered it in just a few hours . Ken's body and energy were religiously powerful so he used his hands and cover them with a little qi before slashing at the surrounding space . a small crack appeared and Ken's hand easily passed through it and appeared from a spack crack 7 or so meters away . his mood was of excitement so he repeated the process of cracking space and sending his hand inside again and again for a few hours .

his physical energy was completed exhausted in the end unlike qi which was still brimming . but ken managed to get the feel of space element. now he could open a space and travel anywhere till 840 meters of distance . for the largest distance his physical energy would be used about 25 percent for one time and qi just a little . in the future when he reaches the earth realm and naturally comprehend the laws of heaven and earth his space travel ability would soar .

ken was not a pervert so he didnt injure himself to test the healing speed. well it was simply because tier 3 weapons could not put a scratch on his body and he wont ask someone to attack him with weapons using qi.

naturally ken used his green energy to speed up growth of herbs and was immensely stratified. ken could increase growth of planted or fresh herbs and his ability improved as his energy increased in quality by rising in realms . Ken's pills which he of course refined for himself had much better effects than before and his refining speed increased due to the purity of flame after the increased purity of qi .

ken reached middle of 5th level in foundation realm yesterday . his pool of energy was bigger than before so despite his eating pills of much better quality , his speed was still affected. welll ken was more than satisfied though because he had not thought that he couldn't advance so much this fast . the energy required for ken to advance further increased too much so he had estimated that he would reach the early 4th level till the outer sect competition. but fate was nice to ken and he got way more tasks to refine pills from sophia and from gentle personally too .

well it was his effort too because he had showed that ken advance a small realm during seclusion and his success rate increased a little . so ken continued to increase his success rate little by little and now the cultivation he showed others is early stage of 8th level of qi condensation realm . his success rate was only 3 percent more than before but gentle must have thought it as good improvement . he even showed off Ken's improvement by lecturing other tier 1 alchemists sometimes which was seriously a problem for ken as he hated unnecessary attention . but it was not as bad as he thought because other alchemists only started respecting him a little and nothing else changed . well some ignorant people still felt jealousy but ken just smiled and listened to their acting superior remarks . ken didnt put them in his eyes so he ignored their words as they were same as wild dog barks for him . as long as they dont plot against him or harm him ken honestly didnt care .

the outer sect competition would be held in the mountain range and forest that is the whole rest of the island leaving the city. disciples weren't told the details and they only knew that the test must be a survival one . they were just excited and wanted to place well in rankings because of the rewards .

ken didnt pay attention to other rewards but he heard that first prize was a storage ring with some points and something else . he was interested in the storage ring because of course it would be convenient. ken could refine one himself but he didnt need one that much because the herbs were delivered to him by guild . as for other things he didnt have many to carry anyway .

now he had thousands of points after successfully earning them by refining too many pills . ken even forgot to check them after they crossed 500 mark as he doesn't buy anything anyway . now after the competition ken was planning to go out of the sect with taking missions as an excuse so storage ring caught his interest...
