Third Person’s POV (1 and 6 months yrs. old)
'But why am I be able to know who the heroes and heroines are of this story? did I do some kind of tampering on the settings of this story? Or maybe I accidentally pressed 'reveal' on the create section? What am I even thinking, of course I haven't done any of those, *sigh* I could really need some help right now.’
'*chuckles* Hearing your obnoxious thoughts running one after another is really entertaining, you’re wondering you say? Then I'll answer your question, although I really want to be a bit mysterious, but I don't think that will ever be helpful, seeing as you tend to overthink things, and might end up taking actions for the worst,
Okay, enough ranting, you are able to determine the heroes and heroines through a faint glow of light, to indicate that the person you are in front with is the person you will be helping in the future, it could be by fulfilling a prophecy written especially for them, and many more,
But the sole purpose for that faint glow of light, is to help you determine what kind of state/ mood/ emotions they are in, for example, if the glow of light seems to become dimmer, that means they are feeling sad/sadness,
If the glow of light seems to become chaotic, that means they are feeling anger, if the glow of light seems to become brighter, then they are feeling happiness, they are indicators on how you can or will assess the situation in front of you,
The glows help you in helping the heroes and heroines overcome their inner and outer problems because you get to understand their situation better, but I'm not saying you'll go way beyond your boundaries and always be there to help the heroines,
You just need to reassure them that they have a friend that is always there for them, you cannot always solve their problems, they also need to learn how to stand up on their own feet, and solve their own problems.
Additional features will be added in the future.' explained White, but confusion still laced Ken’s thoughts.
'When am I gonna help them? I'm confused, if I'm supposed to help them, then what’s with the part where I don’t have to because they have to solve their own problems.’
'Well by waiting and observing them first before taking action, for example, if you see them getting angry, look for the cause of their reaction, why they are getting angry? Who are they angry at? What are they angry for?
And observe how they take action of the situation, if you feel like something bad is going to happen, then take action, it's like, going with your guts, in my situation, I can be of help, if I weigh the pros and cons first,
But in your case, I'll give you the responsibility of choosing which decision is best for you and the person.' Clarity dawned in on Ken, slightly.
'Oh, okay, thank you for the advice, it’s very helpful… hmmm, so if the heroes and heroines ever get themselves in trouble, I'll be able to help them, sweet!’ lost in thought, Ken snapped out of his thinking from a slight shake to his body.
*looks up*
"Baby, are you okay? You were looking into space earlier, Hunny look, Kenny looks so cute staring into space, making his eyes look big, awwww" embarrassment pooled in on Ken as his mother encased him in a big hug.
*ugh (gets squished by his mother)*
"AAAH!" Ken flailed his arms acting spoilt and such all the while fighting with his inner thoughts.
‘AAAH!! Mom you're embarrassing me! Please stop!’
Then again, he’s a child, so it would only be natural that he would be smooched and doted upon by his parents, Ken returned the gesture by hugging back his mother, nuzzled his cheeks on his mother’s neck affectionately.
The pink blush on his cheeks excessively making him look even cuter.
"Aww Lyn, seems like you really love and like your baby boy." cooed Lorna, gushing at how her friends son looks so cute in her arms.
"Of course Lorna, because on the day he was born, we found overwhelming happiness and joy, looking at his face reminded me of the days I used to take care of one of my baby brothers and sisters.
Mother and Father would always leave for work so I was always left to care for them, I love them very very much, but now that they're adults, I guess you can say that they have their own families and children now,
but still, I didn't get to have a child during those times my siblings would get married, and I have noticed that they were always the first ones to have children, I would sometimes be with my nieces and nephews and observed them have fun with their parents,
While sometimes I would be there babysitting them because their parents are working, I would play with them and have fun all day long, but it never compared to those times I get to witness and discover new sides of my nieces and nephews,
Getting to discover new sides of my nieces and nephews be it bad or good, astounded me, to the point of moving me to tears, so I swore that if one day, I may be able to conceive a child, I'll take care of him or her to the point of overwhelming them with love and kindness,
When Ken came to our life, I was happy, overjoyed, moved to tears, and all things good, and up until now, I still am, so I'm very curious to discover what other sides my son may have or reveal in the future,
I’ll always stay by his side, from the very start up to the end." after saying those words, she looked back at her son lovingly, and pecked his nose. Her son’s blush deepened acting all shy as he hid his head on the crook of her neck,
‘Aww mama, I didn't know you could be that sappy, and would give such a long explanation.’ thinking about it Ken finds himself wondering about those certain qualities his mother has.
‘Hmmmm, I guess this was due to my influence of being very understanding, observing, and explaining, or it could be that she already had these traits from the start, but either way, I still love it, and I love mama.’ Ken giggles involuntarily.
"That's such a long explanation Lyn and very sentimental too, I couldn't say the same for myself, but I could really get to learn from your example though." Lorna states, getting quite a bit sad and then turning back to her happy self, making her friend concerned for her.
"Oh, I'm getting the feeling something’s troubling you Lorna, mind if I ask?" Ken agreed internally, silently giving his support to his mother.
"Well, we're having a little problem with our son, Wilbert is a very smart child when it comes to things concerning him, and at his young age we were surprised to find out that he could comprehend and understand what we are saying,
During those times when he was still months old, we would always take care of him, slowly forgetting our line of work which is very important, so when he showed us that he could understand what we were saying, we were really surprised,
But we recovered quickly, and so with the reassurance that he would be alright, we -me and his father- took it upon ourselves to go back to our jobs and told him to be a good boy and stay at home,
We would still go back at lunch in time to feed him, and dinner too, at first it was great and me and my husband get to return to our job, but as time passed, we begin to notice that we had been feeling somewhat distant with him.
Many times we had tried to be by his side, but he would always look into space, it almost feels like he wants to cry when I watch him, it also made me somewhat close to tears every time he does that." by this time, tears were running out of Lorna's eyes,
She quietly sobbed, while looking at her son, being held by his husband, who is fast asleep. Ken wished there was something he could do to help, the tears streaming down Lorna’s eyes kind of makes Ken remember his situation not so long ago.
Erick, Lorna's husband, went and comforted her.
"Shhh, don't cry now Hunny, that's why we asked Alfred and Lyn to be here right? To help us. Take it easy Lorna." Erick massages the back of his wife affectionately and slowly.
Lyn was left dumbstruck with Uncle Erick's statement, and hastily asked.
"Wh-why would you ask for o-our help? I mean, we are just a normal couple" Ken doesn’t believe what his mother said, but being a baby, he stayed quiet.
"Lyn, don't you get it? They're asking for our help because they see us as influential parents to our son." Ken’s face brightened at his father’s explanation, for that was exactly what he was thinking.
"Oh, sorry, I guess I really didn't get it, though, I did not expect for the two of you to ask for our help, but as your old friends, we are honored to help the both of you." even with the surprise catching her, she was humbled to have been asked for help.
‘How do women express their embarrassed state? Hmmm, makes me wonder if they ever scratch the back of their neck, oh no wait scratch, when women are embarrassed they just act all shy and cute, or do they not?’ there it goes again.
"Thank you Lyn, Alfred, for taking the chance to help us." Erick says in a humble and soft voice.
"No worries Erick, besides what are friends for?" Ken cheered internally for his father again.
He looked back at Wilbert and thought to himself, what could this boy be thinking of those many times he was alone here in his house, was he afraid? Scared? Or worse, Traumatized?! Oh gosh! Oh Gosh! OH GOSH!!!
'Quit your yapping, why would a child be traumatized at such an early age?' -White-
'Hey, sometimes it happens you know' *pouts inwardly* -Ken-
'Hmm, they do, but in Wilbert's case, I think it’s different.' -White-
'Why do say so?' -Ken-
'Look at the kid, it’s obvious he's lonely' -White-
'Lonely?' Ken stare curiously at the kid.
'Yes, lonely, because I observed him earlier, his eyes seem to hold emptiness, but when he looked at you, I saw a spark of light, but it was only brief, and was replaced again by the emptiness.' the same feeling engulfed Ken, but more of sympathy.
'Do you think we can do anything to help him? Because I really want to help him.’ said Ken.
'Yes, there is, be his friend.' replied White.
'Come again?' he asks with utmost delirious thoughts.
'Be his friend, and besides, if you are supposed to be helping him and the others of this story, then you need to befriend them, starting with him.' Ken gasps inwardly.
'B-but I don't know how!... This is so scary! Somebody Help ME! I could feel like he’s judging me based earlier from my statement.’
'Are trying to say you haven't made any friends in your past life?' black lines appeared on Ken’s face.
'Y-yeah'
'What?! Ugh!' White felt a headache coming along, then what about those people that surrounded him in the past, were they not his friends? Something must be amiss.
*hears a smacking sound*
'Did you just smacked yourself?' Ken inquired.
'If I did, would you believe me? *sighs* The point here is, that by being his friend, you are also helping him out, helping him overcome his loneliness.' a few seconds of thought, Ken agreed to the ball of white’s statement.
But still…
'I'm scared, what if I screw up? What if I won't be able to fulfill my purpose, as being his friend, or worse, jeopardize the friendship we took hard to build?’ I have so many questions and concerns! Somebody help me!’
*Internally pleads in a nonsensical gesture*
'Then just admit your mistakes and slip ups, be brave enough to face your failures, because there is no stronger friendship or relationship than the ones who braved through challenges and obstacles together,
Than those who abandoned it because of a problem, I mean, hey, what are problems there for if you do not know how to solve them.' explained White.
'Believe in yourself Ken, and you'll find that all your efforts are worthwhile.' The ball’s statement brought a smile on his face.
'Thank you, for comforting me, *smiles brightly*.’ Ken didn't get to fathom that his parents and his Aunt and Uncle noticed him smiling.
‘Well how do I do this?' he asks.
'You can start by befriending him, Wilbert.' Ken returned his gaze back at the little boy leaning on Erick’s shoulder,
"Your son really is cute Lyn, and very wondrous." Ken agreed as well when looking at the boy sleeping on the other adult’s shoulder.
"I know right? *chuckles, then a series of laugther echoed at the room*." But not knowing whatever the people were laughing about Ken felt that he had screwed up, did he fail at the first impression?
'Relax, they're just laughing because you were "entertaining" yourself' I can feel you doing the fingery quotes thingy.’ another wave of shame dawned on him as a pink blush slapped his face.
"Anyway Lyn, since now that we've talked about how you guys can help us, I think it would be best that while we're busy, -by I mean you guys helping us- our son Wilbert will be with your son Ken for the meantime?" Lorna’s voice getting cheerier the next.
'White! did you know what my parents were talking about with Aunt and Uncle?' asked Ken as he hadn’t heard the people’s conversation and it seems as if they had already gone with the conclusion.
'Yes I did, but I'll tell you another time, because I think you will be busy in the future.' White replied, Ken with that childish tendency acting up again, slightly pouted and crossed his arms, but only looking like a shy little panda in the adult’s eyes.
But they didn’t try to disturb for they have other things to tackle first as well.
*Yawn*, the little bun on Erick’s shoulder stirred awake.
"Wil? You're awake! Good, now you can finally meet Ken, your Aunt Lyn, and Uncle Alfred's son." Wilbert absent-mindedly looked around him, and then fixes his gaze at Ken.
‘They do look like empty. Well can't help it, time to greet him like I always do, by shaking his hand.’ thought Ken then and there making a decision, when technically he was still a kid and not an adult.
He slowly crawls out of his mother’s lap, but before he could take another step, he slipped.
*Collective Gasps*
"It's Dangerous!" he hear a boy's voice before everything went black.
