Third Person’s POV (12 yrs. and 8 months old)
“Syla, we have bad news, the King requests the group he requested to assist this part of the region to come aid them fight the monsters pouring out of the demon gate near the lava wolves territory.” said the mountain lion, as he huffed and puffed due to the lack of air from rushing to this place.
Syla nodded at the lion and turned towards Ken’s group.
“Although it’s just daybreak I’m afraid we have to rush on over to assist his majesty, or who knows what would happen to the army, I hope you can understand.” said Syla, turning serious, her relaxed demeanor previously, nowhere to be seen.
The group glanced at one another, knowing full well what they need to do. Coralia nodded at Syla, after gaining the confirmation from the rest of the group.
“Tell us, what’s the current situation right now.” addressed Coralia to the mountain lion, he nodded and explained.
“His majesty and the army is being driven back by an unknown creature that came out of the gate, and is using some kind of dark magic that corrodes anything that it touches.” The group immediately recognized who they will be up against.
“That’s bad… we’ve got to go there now.” said Coralia, everyone knew the power those twisted creatures held and it was not something they could just trifle with easily, more so in Ken’s mind as he knows how hard it was to fight more than just one, especially that one creature that learned how to talk.
“I’ll bring us there.” said Ken, the group turned to look at him, knowing full well Ken’s capabilities, they weren’t worried that Ken will bring them there.
“How?” asked the mountain lion, Ken smiled.
“By creating a portal, now I just need to know the direction of the territory of the lava wolves, where is it located?” Ken asked. The mountain lion agreed reluctantly and said…
“It’s southwest of the valley.” Hmmm, I could just translate that into southwest of my home, I wonder what mama and papa are dong, Ken thought. Aside from that, another class of creatures I have not associated myself with, he added.
Ken nodded and approached the mountain lion, and picked up a stray twig on its coat, the lion not knowing what would happen to the side in fright as he felt the slight prick of the twig that he didn’t notice.
“This should do.” said Ken and placed the twig on the ground. Suddenly a magic circle the color of purple appeared below the twig and made it float on Ken’s eye level.
“What are you using that for?” asked Princess Lang, voicing out the question everyone wanted to ask.
“I’ll use it to track the location where he was last at, I only hope that this twig was near the location of the lava wolves territory.” Princess Lang nodded as well as the others, they had the question as to how that was possible, but knowing Ken, he’ll just explain it later to them.
Right now, they have a more pressing matter to attend to.
“Alright, does anyone from the Nature Deers Herd want to join?” he asked.
Looking straight at the Deer’s leader, but Granarados shook his head.
“I still need to tend to my herd here, so I won’t be joining.” said Granarados. Ken nodded in understanding.
“I hope my spell can help everyone protect one another in the meantime.” said Ken, made all of his magic circles appear in front of him and enhanced the spell he placed earlier, the scenery looked like Ken was blessing the Nature Deers.
They can’t help but be grateful at this human’s intentions. Ken finished the enchantment in minutes, and turned towards his group.
“Well, let’s get going shall we?” the group nodded and they huddled close to Ken forming a circle, they didn’t forget to include the two lions in on the circle.
“Before we go, do you guys not want to use the illusion spell that I taught you?” asked Ken pointing out to the beastly features the others sprouted.
“Nah, it’s okay, this makes me feel strong in some way.” said Glen.
“I agree.” seconded by Allen, and the others joined in too in a series of yeses, and grunts or nods of confirmation.
“Okay. Haha.” Ken looked at the herd and their leader. “We’ll get going now.” Another magic circle with the same color appeared below the group as it shined a purple light.
“It was nice meeting you again cousin.” said Coralia, Granarados nodded.
“Likewise cousin.” He replied, Trunk just gave him a nod.
“Arcane Magic: Mass Teleportation.” white light engulfed the group and in an instant their bodies disappeared.
They reappeared on a lush forest part of the valley, for a second Ken thought that his spell malfunctioned, but when a slab of rock passed in front of them, they were sure that they were at the right place.
Their eyes went wide at how close the rock had flown, for it had landed right at the center of their circle crushing the twig along with it. Ken noticed something was wrong, he turned around, jumped forward.
“Earth Magic: Parallel Barricades!” and conjured, four walls with a thickness of 3 meters and a height of 8 feet appeared on every direction around the group.
The group was disoriented at first, but what happened next broke them from their stupor. Blasts bombarded the walls creating loud noises for a brief moment, and that’s when they realized that a stray spell had collided with the walls, or it was intentional.
Ken created stairs at the side of the wall to peek at the top, but seeing that he could not see further, he fully showed himself up but made himself invisible through concept’s ‘concept of concealed presence’ thought he’s still visible to his group, he just didn’t affect them with the spell.
‘I’m getting the hang of silent casting.’ He thought to himself
‘Yeah.’ White agreed.
‘But I still can’t do it with my elemental spells.’ White noticed Ken’s pouting look and made the motion of rolling his eyes, -if he had any-, for up until now he cannot get used to Ken’s trail of thought, even though they’re connected.
When the bombardment stopped, Ken felt a faint air magic in the air, thus he went and check out the premises, the area was clear, for a second, as he sensed that above there was someone fighting one another.
And when he looked up, he saw up in the air, the Lion King Raze was fighting one of the twisted humanoid creatures, it felt like it was a strong one, for Ken felt the air around the twisted creature and deduced its firepower, or, power.
Ken rushed to his group and shouted…
“Everyone! The King is in trouble, we have to help them!” the group was stunned for a moment. “Well what are you guys standing there, let’s go!” reprimanded Ken and activated his flight spell and flew up the sky.
“Right!” said everyone, as they rushed towards the battlefield, wherever it is.
“The battle’s raging north from our direction, that’s where we need to go!” shouted Ken from above, even though he was high up, everyone heard him loud and clear. They had appeared south of the territory of the lava wolves hence Ken’s directions.
Up above Ken noticed that the demon gate was visible, as its structure or height, passed above the tree line, what made it worse was it spawned near the territory of the lava wolves, for he observed the ground in hot lava, along with other patches of dried lava forming igneous rocks.
Surprisingly this area didn’t affect the forest surrounding it, considering that the outer territory of the lava was further from the lush greenery and trees, about ten meters or so apart, Ken thought.
Ken also noticed that the pack of lava wolves were being overrun by the monsters, similar to the ones they fought before even with the assistance of the lion army, he looked at the many bodies of wolves and werewolves as well as ogres everywhere and knew that the situation would turn for the worse if they don’t help now.
‘Allen, Princess Lang, Wilbert, Celine, organize everyone to sync their attacks in one place, I’ll point out a direction so tell everyone to prepare a long range attack, their powerful one.’ said Ken in their mental connection everyone shared within their group except the adults and the lions.
‘Understood.’ simultaneously replied by the four. Time for a grand entrance, Ken thought, as he smiled mischievously to himself.
The King got pushed back again in the air due to the force of the dark beam that collided with him, even though he knows that it was not that effective at all due to his powers, but the corroding effects were the ones that troubled him.
For every hit he’d take from those beams, made it feel like the corrosion effect doubled and he could sense his skin felt like peeling off of him, coupled with the fact that his opponent seemed un-killable made the battle stall long for injuries to form on his body.
And now, he doesn’t know how much more he could take before his defenses fail him and take a fatal wound.
‘I’ve gotta find a way to defeat this monster, but how?!’ he thought to himself, he could barely keep himself afloat as he struggled over his control over the winds beneath his paws.
Before he could react or cast any spell, a flash appeared behind the monster, and in split seconds a blade had pierced it from its back, silver light shined on the oddly curved blade.
The light expanded to form a line on the creature’s body and it cut itself in half revealing Ken, holding his scythe, spun it once to get rid of the excess blood, the monster wasn’t even able to utter any screech or cry, Ken pointed his scythe at the monster and shot a beam of light, disintegrating both parts of the creature.
Ken floated towards the King and offered a smile. He held out his hand to heal the wounds on the King’s body but upon close inspection, he noticed that it had the same properties as those of corrosion from the creature’s dark magic.
So he cured the corrosion away, and resumed healing, this time, the heal took effect, everything happened in split second rendering the King unable to talk, once he had regained his bearings Ken was almost finish healing him up, even in the air.
“How are you sir Raze?” asked Ken.
“*inhale, exhale* I’m fine now, thank you.” The King replied.
“Thankfully we came here just as your soldier met us, other than that, I hope you could take a rest first, and we’ll help take care of everyone.” said Ken finished healing up the King.
“Are you sure, the monsters this time are not your typical ones, they’re different.” The King said.
“You mean those twisted humanoid creatures with dark energies surrounding them? Don’t worry your majesty, I’ve fought ones like them yesterday, and I’m confident I can beat them.” Ken gave him a cheeky smile.
“Well, I’ll be off now your majesty.” He added and flew towards the battlefield. The King cannot comprehend as to how the kid was so cheerful despite going to battle, so he followed what Ken had said and slowly descended to the ground to rest and reorganize his troops.
