Third Person’s POV (12 yrs., 8 months)
Of course the six people that were left behind on the training ground did not idle by with the other masters as they engage in a fierce battle against one another, all the while inserting pointers here and there.
Currently, different colors of waves of energies splashed the surroundings, weaving spells in between every single opportunity they could find, the six students diligently trained, eyes filled with the glint of determination.
The field was divided into six portions, each reinforced with a barrier, with the same purpose as before.
Wilbert jumped backwards from Nazir’s swift claw attacks directed towards him, sword clutched in both hands, he parried the next attack and hastily retreated again to avoid the other clawed hand swiping downwards.
Even if he was clad in armor, he still decided to dodge or else the claws might have just tore a part of his body and protective gear like hot knife cutting through butter.
Nazir was unfazed as he kept advancing towards Wilbert, hands raised, claws extended, swiping here and there, despite his well-kept appearance, he fights viciously, reminisce that of a fierce tiger.
His movements were swift and precise, even if it was hinted with a little bit of savagery as his eyes would bore holes unto ones soul if one would stare carelessly, those cold and scrutinizing gaze could freeze anyone in their tracks.
If Ken would have been here, he would have quickly mentioned that blur that zipped around the battlefield during their battle with the demons.
A trait Nazir had developed, through his sheer speed, able to render his opponents useless in a fight if he deems so, but since he is training this human, using the normal speed in fighting is a must if he wants this human to learn.
With a glint in his eyes, he turned on the aggression a little bit further, unleashing a flurry of attacks one after the other once he’d thought that that his opponent has warmed up to him.
Wilbert was gravely shocked as he almost had not blocked the first strike pushing him back slightly, he quickly took care of his bearings and willed himself to focus on parrying and dodging the attacks.
Nazir faintly smiled, at least the guy is making the effort of keeping up with him. His white robe fluttering under the wind caressing his form, while the other drenched in sweat clad in armor dodging him, albeit a little sloppily.
“RAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!” shouted the other person beside their barrier. Glen dashed forward against Kilean head-first, he was tired of dodging so many arrows at a time that he felt impatient.
He was still unable to land a single hit on this archer Master of theirs despite using ranged attacks, Kilean’s movements were as fast as all the other Masters, at least on the average side when you’d compare them to one another.
But his speed was enough to avoid the flurry of onslaught Glen threw at him, always repositioning after every release of an arrow, and every time Glen comes close to swinging his hammer to his face.
He quite values that part of him as it brings him the attention he wants, especially from women. Now that Glen has had enough, he felt a premonition that he’ll get hit sooner or later, just let it not be his face or he’s sure to be mulling over it.
His handsome and sexy face.
Glen slammed his hammer on the ground fueled with his magic power causing shockwaves barreling towards Kilean, all the while rock spikes sprung forth. Kilean easily avoided the shockwave coming his way.
He jumped higher this time from the initial dodge, took out an arrow from his quiver on his back, placed it on the arrow rest, draw the string and shoot, piercing the earth spike that sprung forth in a timely manner,
Boring a huge hole, erasing even the tip of the spike. Glen used that window of time to jump on one of his spikes towards Kilean, hammer ready to swing down.
“GRRRAAAAHH!!!!!” he shouted again. The weapon connected sending his master spiraling backwards, a huge smile adorning Glen’s face as he finally landed a hit on his Master. He landed on the ground, and beamed at Kilean.
Once the smoke cleared from the impact, Glen’s eyes widened as all that he could see was a dummy, Master Kilean was not on sight.
His senses tingled, causing him to look vigilantly everywhere, he noticed that the smoke hadn’t cleared up and were surrounding him. In a split second, six arrows from different directions revealed themselves with a flurry of wind towards Glen.
Glen’s eyes widened even more as he did not anticipate his Master to ambush him. He could only cry for help in his mind.
A splash of water resounded from another part of the training field, with the clashing of blades, one being short and double in quantity, the other being long, straight, thin and double-edged, similar to that of a long sword.
Lila brandished her blades with shadow magic giving her a defensive chance against Rena’s constant flurry of blades coupled with the part that she summoned water blades early in their fight.
Lila enhanced herself to react faster and dodge easier. The two continued to exchange blow after blow, the other almost a blur on the background with her exceptional talent for using short range dashes using shadow magic,
While the other practically danced on the area of her influence and her direction, like flowing water, seamlessly directing every swing and thrust through a stream that only she could see. Her robe flawlessly drifting to her movement.
Her countenance looking all elegant and compassionate, despite her power.
Her sword parrying Lila’s daggers, both not getting the upper hand on the other, that humble looking face unchanged and unfazed against the onslaught. Lila blinked on a relatively empty spot away from their last clash, she stabbed both daggers on the ground.
Willing her magic to take different forms of shadows, she unleashed a line of shadow swords in a line towards Rena, Rena retaliated by using her water blades to intercept the swords, clashing at a stand-still.
Both dashed towards the other, weapons shining in correspondence to their magic, clashed, creating an explosion of blue and black colors.
Abel, just like his Sister, was also using the same sword as hers, long, straight, thin, and double-edged, against Icarus whom was using a broadsword coated in flames. Unlike his sister, he was stern and had a straight face.
The Master and student engaged in a standard sword fight earlier, but soon escalated into using their magic as the Master tested the student. Crackles of blue lightning appeared around Abel’s form, almost like a storm was upon them.
Compared to Icarus’ who almost coated himself with his own flames, never bothering him, eyes straight with a determined glint. Abel sent out bolts of lightning towards Icarus, the other dodged easily while advancing forward.
The two once again engaged in another sword fight, waves of flames splashing everywhere with crackles of lightning the next.
Both unyielding to the other. Icarus showed signs of him gritting his teeth just from the sheer power of the lightning and the strength behind his Master’s sword despite almost lacking in muscle, the Master could still push him like a rag doll.
Saber and Oldin casually tossed spells at one another, the former performing poison and shadow spells while the latter retaliated with water and earth spells. Both mainly focusing on attacking in range.
Oldin held out his hand and fired out a brown energy that quickly turned into a mud ball, Saber casually dodged to the side letting the ball land on the ground. The ball detonated sending out splashes of dense mud everywhere as Saber shielded his face with his arms.
Dispersing the contents right after
Even though the mud ball landed beside him. Saber retaliated by sending out daggers of shadows raining in on Oldin. Oldin also casually dodged the projectiles with a little dash to the side. A grey ball landing beside him.
*POP*
The ball burst forth that expelled poisonous gas making Saber smirk at the trap he had placed, but his face quickly fell as the poison gas got quickly cleared with a little water spell that sucked in all the gas.
What was left before him was Oldin covered in a semi transparent shell the color of green, going deeper the lower it gets. The master smiled at the student, seemingly saying he approves of his tactics to which Saber bowed gratefully.
The two returned to exchanging spell after spell.
Loud booms and cracks resonated from the other area, and the most out of all the areas surrounded by a barrier, pulverized by spells on one side, and raw strength on the other.
Allen jumped from ice debris to ice debris, sometimes creating a pillar, landing on top, conjures a magic circle and sends out a spell. The ground was littered with ice pieces and protruding ice pillars.
Ros was unfazed of the onslaught, he just looked at the scene before him excitedly, his canines visible on his smile. With fire burning around him and on his fists, he pummeled the ice spike charging towards him.
He jumped up causing a shockwave on the ground, fists ready to punch the living daylight of Allen, but Allen was prepared as well. He let himself fall down from the pillar, narrowly avoiding the fist directed at his face.
With quick movements he issued a magic circle on his feet, using the pillar by his side as a spring, he pushed himself away, flipped in mid-air, and landed on the ground.
He held out his hand, a magic circle perpendicular to his fist appeared, with one wave, the magic circle disappeared, summoning ghastly frozen wind around him, freezing the area inside the barrier.
Ros landed on the frozen ground, breaking the ice. He looked at the student he was fighting, smirked thinking how this area of ice would help his student, when clearly it didn’t stop be it his fists or his flames.
He dashed forward, fist winding up from behind to deliver a devastating punch.
But Ros punched air as Allen’s figure distorted. He looked around for his target, but Allen was nowhere in sight. The ground was clear of fog or smoke, where is that brat.
“Over here.” said Allen. Ros looked on top of him, a large magic circle 50 meters in radius was visible before his eyes.
“Ice Magic: Frost Fall!” frost energies appeared in fast succession around Allen, the frost danced around him before rushing towards Ros with a gesture. The Master smirked, he extended his hand again, winding up from behind him, infused with fire magic.
He punched the frost energies rushing towards him. Both energies collided resulting to a huge flash and explosion. The light dissipated and Allen was left with nothing before him, all of his frost disappeared in that instance.
He stared dumbfounded at the Master he was dueling, whom was smiling at him unfazed, fists still blazing with those flames, but this time, with a blue color.
Allen felt a shiver run down his back looking at those flames.
