“Why are you sitting there?” he gave him a nasty look while fastening on his seatbelt.
“Why not? This is my seat,” he asked, pretending to be confused. He knew that DT was expecting Miss E to be sitting next to him, but a while ago when they are queuing to board the plane, Ghost pulled him aside and told him to exchange a seat with Miss E.
Their poor manager begged him to have Miss E take his seat since he doesn’t want to make her mad. He didn’t want to agree because DT is a boring seatmate. Even though the flight to Seoul is a short one, none of the team members except Sprit and One would agree to sit beside this stoic man.
The only reason why he said yes to Ghost, was that he wanted their manager to owe him a favor that he could collect once he got late from his curfew. And also because apparently, DT asked their manager personally that he wanted Miss E to be his seatmate. He is curious to know if DT is interested in Miss E.
“Ghost got me this seat,” he casually showed DT his seat number but he made sure he covered some part of the ticket not to show him that it was ended Miss E’s seat. As much as he wanted their manager to owe him a favor, he also wanted to piss DT off.
He kept a straight face watching DT searching for Miss E and Ghost across the aisle. Miss E was sitting about two rows behind them, while Ghost was a seat away in front of them. Passengers are slowly filling up the plane, DT has no way to ask Ghost why he is his seatmate for this trip.
He chuckled inwardly, if he found out the truth, later on, it would be a huge blow to his pride to learn that Miss E refused to sit next to him. He likes this kind of drama. He fastens his seatbelt and sits comfortably, pretending not to care about DT’s uneasiness.
He put on his headset while observing DT beside him from his peripheral vision. When he saw him leaning back on his seat, closing his eyes after putting on his earphone. He pulled his phone from his jeans pocket and put it on plane mode. He wore his headset on, put on some music, and closed his eyes to rest.
DT closed his eyes and ignored the obnoxious Grand next to him. In almost five years that they have been playing together for the WIZ, Grand not even once sit next to him in a flight or even in their shuttle bus when they have a homeland game.
He likes to sit a bit far back of the plane because he likes playing and talking with the other members. He, on the other hand, wants peace and quiet, hence he always asks for a seat near the plane entrance.
He has an idea of why he is not sitting on a seat next to him. He is irritated with the idea that this guy is close enough with Miss E to agree to her asking a favor of exchanging seats. Miss E was supposed to be beside him on this flight and their manager already confirmed that.
Meanwhile, the two of them disappeared while their manager was distributing their boarding passes, and now he ended up sitting with him.
What could be the reason, why Miss E was clearly avoiding him when the last time they were together things were okay. Yes, it was given that they had a small fight over the guy that approached her at the game convention. But that was not a reason enough for her to reject the sitting arrangement for this flight, he wondered while the plane was taking off for their destination.
-Incheon International Airport-
He tried to walk slowly on his way to the immigration so that Miss E would catch up to him naturally. He does not want to do something that would make the other team members curious enough to start making stories. Particularly One and Mantis are on this trip. The two of them are notorious for making stories in the club.
The duo finds great amusement in finding out the secrets of other team members.
“Stay in the group. The Big Boss wanted us to be at the hotel at the earliest time possible.” he gave the team a reminder while watching Grand.
“You don’t have to single me out every freaking time,” he mumbled towards their manager.
“Okay, stop mumbling. Let’s all fall in line at the same counter,” he said to end the topic of Grand’s habit of keeping away from the group.
The nervousness of the team is now evident that they have arrived at the country's venue of this year’s world championship elimination game. He had the capable Seven at the end of the line while he went first to have his passport checked and stamped at the immigration counter.
He stood not far from the immigration officer's cubicle, watching the members of their team having their passports checked and stamped as well. He already phoned their driver to have their shuttle bus waiting for them as soon as they finished with the immigration.
Another rule of the Big Boss other than the team uniform should be all black, was that no one will have check-in luggage during their flight for every game. He doesn’t want his player to spend time waiting in the conveyor to retrieve luggage.
Thus, the Big Boss arrived in Korea, two days ago to take care of their hotel and the stuff of the players that they want to bring to their game was brought ahead by the Big Boss to ensure that no one will have a piece of check-in luggage.
Normally it was his job, but the boss decided to change things and went ahead of the game venue. Most probably he was also having too much anxiety for this important game that he wanted to make sure there will be no problem.
“Ghost, can I go to the restroom first before we leave?” Miss E was asking him snapped him out of his thought.
“Yes, you may go ahead. Use the restroom near the exit because it has fewer people, and it would be easier for us to get you after we are done here,” he answered thinking that this is part of the changes too because they can’t storm in the girl’s toilet to fetch her, like what they do when other members take too long inside the restroom and they are in a hurry.
“I’ll go to use the bathroom too,” DT mumbled.
“Well, if that’s the case let me go ahead too, -- to use the toilet,” Grand followed DT grinning, not waiting for Ghost to answer.
He furrowed his eyebrows and didn’t think of anything except with Mantis and One who were exchanging a meaningful look watching the three in the distance.
