Chapter 5.22

“Oh, I see.”

Saying that, the bartender placed the Whisky Sour in front of me.

“Make sure your lips are sealed tight.” I warned him with a firm expression. “You never saw me.”

“…Understood.”

With a smile of professionalism, the bartender gave a light bow and exited the room.

“Did everyone in the intelligence agency knew about me…?” I asked with a troubled look.

“That’s gonna cost you.” Reus replied with a wicked smile.

“I will assume that’s a yes, then.”

Somehow, as Reus took a sip of red wine— he put down his glass and looked at me as if he realised something.

“What happened to your date? Did you break up…?” He muttered.

“I don’t think that’s within our deal.” I retorted with an annoyed look.

“Congratulations! You are single again!” He laughed.

I find myself having a hard time reacting towards his remark.

“Why not you just start with the evidence collecting...” I said to him with a wry smile.
