My Running Nightmare

Kevin felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He secretly took it out and saw Marie had messaged him. He got another cook to take over and went to the bathroom. No sooner had he gotten in there, his phone rang. He answered it and said hello. At first, he didn't hear anything so he tried again. 


"Kevin," was all he heard, but he knew that voice. He'd been dreaming about that voice for 5 years but never thought he'd hear it again. He was right. Marie was Renee. 


"Renee. I'd know your voice anywhere. God, baby, please tell me where you are! I love you. I will protect you. You don't have to worry about me. I'll end this if you just tell me where you are," Kevin pleaded. 


"No. I told you I can't. I love you so much it hurts. But, please, stop looking for me. Goodbye, Kevin."
