My Running Nightmare

Christian crossed his arms and huffed. He was throwing a temper tantrum but she didn’t have time to deal with it right now. She had to get home. She had a really bad feeling that was twisting her insides. She feared that Jesse was planning on confronting Kevin by ‘catching’ him in Washington. It would turn into a fight that could lead to a serious injury or death. Kevin may even be planning on confronting Jesse. 


 Renee pulled into Nancy’s driveway and parked. She got out and got Christian out of his car seat. She walked him up to the door and knocked. Christian still had his arms crossed across his chest. Nancy opened the door and her smile faded as she saw Christian. He jerked away from Renee as she tried to hug him goodbye and walked into the house. She sighed in frustration. 


 “Uh-oh. Someone’s not happy,” Nancy laughed. 


 “Yeah. He’s mad at me for dropping him off.” 


 “He’ll be fine, honey. You go have a good time with Mark. I’ll call you if anything happens.”
