Hypno was whimpering as she couldn’t believe that she becomes a slave to someone lower than her, she knows she could have won but Mason manages to trick her into a submission, which is one of her weaknesses. The deity had no choice but to follow her master at all costs even how worse Mason would tell her. Mason, on the other hand, he also doesn't want a slave since he thinks it's unnecessary to have one since he knows how to handle on his own. He tricked her to become his slave but all he wanted is to defeat her with ease but it seems that ease of his turned out to be very stressful. Not only he has to deal with schoolwork and a job but he has to deal with a child-minded goddess as his slave, even though he could use her knowledge in school, it seems very bias and unequal to other students.
