Chapter Twenty-Eight

It had been three weeks since Morgan had returned to the hospital and everything had almost returned to normal, with the word almost being the operative word. Many of his fellow doctors and nurses had welcomed him back with open arms, praising him for his renewed energy and vigour. Morgan began to enjoy his work once more and no longer felt the need to overcompensate. Not everyone was convinced by his new and positive outlook on life. This was evident in the not so subtle stares he received from time to time or the bits and pieces of gossip that would come his way. Under normal circumstances, this would bother the hell out of him but he was in such a good place recently that he felt no need to address it.
