The Man

Both Liza and Shawn were surprised by the Interference of the man. They saw how the man's hand caught Liza's wrist, but Luna did not bother to look around to see the person beside her.

“Who are you? Let me go!” Liza tried to pull her hand back, but the man did not let him.

Luna was so focused on thinking about what she was supposed to do with Liza, especially Shawn who wanted to break up with her. She cannot take up to her heart what Shawn just asked.

Shawn is the only person she wants, but Shawn doesn't want her. Did the Shawn she knew, and her love, have finally gone? Because right now, he was looking at her indifferently.

"Shawn, if this what you really want then this time, I'll forget you. I will forget about us, about our plan, about our promises... I will find someone else…” Although it hurts Luna to say something like this, she bit her lips. “A better man… someone who is better than you. A man that will neither forget nor hurt me. A man with a heart that will never forget who he truly loves even if he cannot recognize me with his memories, but his heart can". Luna once again swore. She said it while crying. She was in pain.

Letting go of the person she does not want to lose gives her so much pain but if this is also the only way to start healing her heart and the only way to make Shawn happy, then she is ready to let go… to set him free.

She wiped her tears and looked at the man beside her. For a second, she froze when she saw the facial features of the man. He is a groomed man with good looks. For a second, Luna thought that the man beside her received a lot of blessings from heaven.

He is also the man inside the black car… then he is Mr. Frost. Sarah’s brother.

What is he doing here?

Luna saw that the man was holding Liza’s hand. He saved her from Liza but why did he do that?

“M-Mr. Frost? Wh-what are you doing here?” Luna asked, surprised. The man probably saw what happened outside while he was in the car. Luna felt embarrassed about what she thought.

“I said let me go!” Liza shouted and forcefully pulled her hands back. Mr. Frost finally let go of her. She almost stumbled and fell, luckily Shawn caught her in time.

"Are you okay?" the man asked, he did not know what happened to Liza, completely ignoring her. He was focused on Luna who was crying.

"Y-yes…” Luna uttered but looked away, but the truth is, she is not. The man knew that she was lying because he can see it in her eyes that she is not okay at all.

“Do not lie because you are not okay” The man answered and looked at Shawn. Both of their gazes met, and both of their eyes had the same question.

What are you doing here?

Luna did not answer when the man spoke the truth. Somehow, Luna felt the deep and manly voice seemed so familiar, but she did not know when and where she heard it.

"I am waiting for you inside the car", The man said while looking at her, forgetting about Shawn and Liza not around. "As much as I want to interfere with you all, but my sister is already coming here. Would you mind if I ask you to come with me right now and go inside my car?". The man said it with a serious tone. Luna felt so embarrassed.

Luna suddenly remembered that Sarah asked her to wait for her and his brother at the parking lot. She completely forgot what she was supposed to do because of Liza and Shawn being together. The three of them also make a scene at the parking lot.

So, all this time, this man saw the whole drama of three of them?

"You must be her brother. I am so sorry for making you wait. Sarah went to the restroom to do something. She asked me to come here and wait for her with you" Luna explained not looking at the man "Then, let us go". Luna smiled awkwardly.

Liza frowned. Luna and the handsome man beside her completely forgot about her and Shawn’s existence.

"Hey, I'm not done with you yet!". Liza was about to pull Luna’s hair, but the man prevented that from happening by glaring at her. She felt scared and stopped. Liza immediately held Shawn’s arms for comfort. Somehow Liza felt that the man with Liza should not be offended because, from the looks of his suit and car, she can say that this man is richer than Shawn.

"You are a lady. Stop being so scandalous” the man said to Liza with a cold tone. He had enough with what he saw inside the car and If Sarah saw her friend being bullied, he already knew what would be going to happen at the parking lot.

Luna was surprised about the unexpected help from him again. They did not know each other much so expecting help from Sarah’s brother is kind of too much for her. She should express her gratitude towards him when they get inside the car.

The man held Luna’s hand and pulled her away from Shawn and Liza. Luna felt the warmth from the man’s big hand when their skin touched each other.

"Come on Liza, let's go to the restaurant we used to eat, and we will have our dinner," Shawn said as he watched the man and Luna getting inside the black car. The man also looks at him. He did not smile nor greet him.

Liza nodded and smiled at him seductively then gently pulled Shawn inside the car. When they were ready to leave, Liza decided to kiss Shawn’s cheeks, but he immediately stopped her.

“What's the matter, Shawn?” Liza asked when Shawn rejected her. She thought that it is already alright to be intimate with him since they were already in a relationship.

What is wrong with him now? Liza thought.
