Kiss

(Skylar P.O.V)

“Come with me, Skylar,” he said while looking deep into my eyes, pleading with me with his eye to come with him.

“I shouldn’t. It’s not right, but...” I said, struggling with my decision.

“Please, Skylar,” he pleaded.

“You are the only one I can tell the truth to,” he said with pleading eyes, and I nodded my head, giving up. He held my hand and led me the way.

"We are here," he said while stopping in front of two graves.

"This is.." I said while looking at him with wide eyes.

"This is my brother and his love's grave," he said while looking at the gravestones.

"Why did you brought me here?" I ask.

"This will probably be the last time we meet," he said, still looking at the gravestones.

"What?" I ask, shocked by his answer.

"I will leave for London after two days. I will not return for some time," he said, finally looking at me, and suddenly I feel an ache in my heart like someone is trying to crush my heart with their hands.

"Why? Why so suddenly?" I ask or should say almost shouted at him.

"Because it will be better for both of us," he said, getting out of the backyard. I started to run after him to catch up with him.

"And how is it better for both of us," I ask while matching his footsteps.

"The fact that you come here is enough for me to leave," he said while looking at me angrily.

"I come because you ask me to," I said in a firm voice while glaring at him.

"And you should have refused," he said while glaring back at me.

"Haven't you thought what will happen if you keep coming closer to me," he asks in a firm voice.

"I don't care what people thought about me," I said in a firm voice, standing on my ground.

"What a fool you are?" he said while shaking his head at me.

"Do you think the only thing you are risking is the marriage proposal which you don't want?" he asks.

"There is nothing to lose at this point," I said, looking down at my shoes.

"You're wrong. You don't know what it means to lose your good name if you know you wouldn't talk like this," he said while looking down at the ground.

"You do remember that people accuse me of my parent's accident, don't you?" I ask him in a firm voice.

"The only thing they do was a pity you. I'm a man devoid of all honor," he said, looking in my eyes.

"Do I have to explain what it's like?" he asks.

"Do you know what it's like to lose everything? Your home? Your friend?" he asks, coming closer to me.

"Do you what is everyone to think the worst of you? Do you know what it's like to your own father question your words?" he asks while cornering me at the wall.

"Your own father?" I ask him, shocked.

"When everyone believes the rumors, it's hard to get a chance to explain the truth," he explains to me.

"Everybody whispers on your back, you can't get the stain off of your name, And soon even you learn that it is pointless even to try, No one wants to learn the truth! They only assume with themselves with the rumors, their whispers get deeper, and you think you will be drawn," he said, coming closer to me.

"I can't change my face nor my past, Skylar," he said, looking deep into my eyes.

"I don't remember asking you to do so," I said, looking deep into his eyes.

"Then why? Why did you come?" he asks. I can hear the pain in his voice.

"Because we are the same," I said with a small smile.

"If you wanted, you would be out by now, but instead, you call me out here. Why?" I ask with narrow eyes.

"Because you wanted to show me the grave, or you wanted to say goodbye," I said, answering my own question.

"I called you here so I could do this," he said, running his finger on my lips.

"So that you will never forget me, and I don't forget the only person who believes me," he said and kissed me passionately, to which I gladly return with my own passion.

“If you wanted, you would be out by now, but instead, you call me out here. Why?” she asks with narrow eyes.

“Because you wanted to show me the grave, or you wanted to say goodbye,” she said, answering her own question.

“I called you here so I could do this,” I said, looking down at her lips while running his finger on it.

“So that you will never forget me, and I don’t forget the only person who believes me,” I added and kissed her passionately, to which she gladly returns with her own passion.

*I will never forget, never forgot,* I thought while kissing her passionately.

As soon as she kissed me back, my past started haunting me, and I pulled away from the kiss and looked at her with wide eyes.

"Wha-What?" she asks dumbfounded while panting.

"Go now!" I said while looking away from her.

"W-why?" she shutters.

"Just go!" I shouted at her, and she runs off.

"Damn it!" I said and punched the wall.

"My past will never stop hurting me, would it?" I ask myself, running my hands in my hair. I shook my head and walked inside the house.
