Matty

"Matty stop." I said kind of annoyed.

She looked over at me and said "What? I'm just looking at his grave."

I squinted my eyes at her as I couldn't believe a single word that came out of her mouth. "Mhm, sure." I said as I picked up my things to go home.

I waved my hand goodbye to Mr. Pac. Me and Matty headed home. She got on her laptop and typed away. I went to the kitchen to make us some food.

"What are you typing?" I asked with curiosity.

Matty just smiled at me.

"You better not be looking up dead peoples names." I said very serious.

"Why not?" She asked with a pout.

I sighed. "Can't you see? Maybe, their family members would not like that."

Matty rolled her eyes "Oh! Come on. More than half these dead people are on the newspapers or on television. It says how they got murdered and why."

"So?" I questioned her not convinced.

Matty said "No one seems to visit Woozi, anyways. Sadly, he's one of those that don't get visited much. Plus, his face is on the tombstone. It's really insane how young and handsome he looks. Like how could someone like him die?!"

I looked at her crazy and asked "Did you fall for him or what?"

She smirked just to mess with me. "I don't know. Maybe, if he was still alive I'd date him."

I gasped and said "Matty!"

She chuckled. "What?"

I nodded my head sideways and said "Come and eat."

She put on a movie as we ate some soup for dinner and watched it. After, I was done I went to the couch to go watch it closer and Matty stayed at the dinner table.

She gasped and I jumped. I thought she was choking and she was under my responsibility.

"What?!" I shouted as I saw that she wasn't even eating.

Matty said "Bob got murdered! I found how he got killed!"

I looked at her confused. "What bob? What are you talking about?"

She looked at me shocked. "You forgot Bob? The last grave you were cleaning?! How rude...?"

"Are you serious right now? I didn't even read who's grave that was." I said feeling kind of bad.

Matty said "You need to get to know these people. Half of them seem pretty nice and sweet."

I frowned. "How do you know this?"

"It's on the article's." She said.

"At night they will haunt you for looking them up and reading about them. They will want your help." I said trying to get her to stop reading about these poor people that brutally got murdered.

Matty smiled. "I hope Woozi comes."

I sighed and said "Stop looking for him."

She ignored me. "I can't seem to find any information about him."

"Good! Now, quit it." I said getting ready to sleep.

Matty said "Don't worry. I will go back home soon and not look up these people."

*Next Morning*

"Poe! Get up!" She yelled by throwing a pillow at my head.

"What?" I asked as I sat up on my bed.

Matty said "Come on! Let's go to work."

"Oh no!" I said quickly getting out of bed.

We got in a taxi just to get to the graveyard faster and I ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich that Matty made me. I rushed out of the taxi as she paid and rushed after me.

"Sorry! I'm late." I shouted from afar to Mr. Pac.

He was cutting the yard and by the looks of it, the tombstones were very dirty. The day seemed like it was going to rain but it felt amazing outside. I didn't mind if I spent the day out here with Matty. Mr. Pac came over to us.

Mr. Pac said "Hey, Matty? Someone came to donate flowers in the office. Could you give the flowers to the graves that don't ever get flowers?"

Matty smiled really big. "Of course! Bless whoever did that." She walked away.

He looked over at me. "After, she's done then you both can leave."

I looked at him shocked. "Oh, it's ok. We can still keep cleaning around here."

Mr. Pac said "I know Matty is leaving tomorrow morning. So, I just want you guys to spend it well. Before, she leaves back to your parents."

I smiled. "Thank you. I guess you're right. Whenever, she's done we'll go."

He left and she came back with lots of beautiful flowers. She fixed all the tombs that didn't have any flowers and she made them stand out more than the others. I was on the other side of the graveyard and I was finally done. I looked for her but didn't see her. I don't know why but I went to Woozi's grave. There she was admiring his tombstone and I just sighed.

"Are you done or what?" I asked.

Matty looked back and said "Yup I left the best for last. How does he look?"

I laughed and said "The best? Oh my... Why?"

"He's a mystery and I love that." She said getting up from the ground.

"Let's go. The taxi is already waiting on us." I said walking away. We got in the taxi and the driver drove away.

After, awhile she gasped and looked at me.

"What?!" I shouted.

Matty bit her lip. "I forgot my phone at the graveyard. If mom calls me and I don't pick up. You know how she'll kill us both."

I sighed frustrated and the driver drove back.

"How did you forget that?" I asked amazed.

She shrugged and we got there. I got off the taxi and she made a run for it. I waited for her half way as I was lazy to keep going. She ran back all happy but shocked.

"What's up with you?" I asked very confused.

Matty said "I think someone is here to visit Woozi! I saw a very luxury car parked almost infront of his tomb and my phone was still there."

I nodded my head sideways. "Let's go the taxi is waiting on us."

Matty pouted. "Can't we see who it is?"

I frowned. "For what?"

"To yell at that person for not coming!" She yelled.

I walked away and said "He or she is rich. They don't care about him. Now, let's go."

Matty sighed and we left. We went to a restaurant to say our goodbyes before she left. When we laid down in our beds she made me laugh.

"Promise me that you'll be more caring for the dead."

"Are you crazy? I literally clean that place everyday. Everyone is well." I said.

Matty said "I wonder who came to visit-"

I hushed her and she got mad.

I said "Don't mess with the rich. Maybe, they can be dealing with something really bad."

Matty sat up and said "I hope so! That would be amazing like in the movies."

I looked at her crazy and turned off the lights. I didn't want to keep listening to her adventures going through her wild brain.

*Next Morning*

I left Matty at the airport before going back to the airport. She was still in high school but acted like a child. She only came in the summer to visit or if she had two weeks of vacation. I felt lonely once again.

"Hey, Poe."

I looked back and it was Mr. Pac. "What's up?" I asked with a smile.

He said "I need you to repaint some letters that are coming off of this wall. I'm taking myself to the other graveyard."

I nodded my head as I understood and left to go paint. I took my break and walked around the graveyard. I ended up infront of Woozi's.

"Guess what? Your friend Matty left. She was all sad that she was leaving but she said she would come back to visit." I said while laughing. "She's so weird but she's my sister. Got to love her wild side."

I turned around and saw a police officer heading my way.

"Do you know if anyone has visited this tomb?" He asked very direct and rude.

I looked down at the grave and glanced back at him. "No." I said.

"If you are lying I have the right to turn you in to authorities." He said pointing his finger at me.

I was getting kind of scared and I said "I'm not lying. No one comes here to vi-"

"We have proof that someone came yesterday and you were here. We have your schedule on file!" He kind of shouted at me now.

I tried to walk away but he grabbed my arm. "Not done with you!" He shouted now.

I pulled away and said "I don't know anything!"

"I'll have my eyes on you now." He said aggressively and giving me his card in my hand.

I looked at him disgusted and walked off really mad. I went into the office to cool down but he just really pushed my buttons. I was done for the day but I couldn't go. I had to lock up for the night. I saw very few people visit there love ones. I looked at the dumb card from the table and gazed up at Woozi's tomb. Thank goodness Matty left. I wouldn't want her involved in any of this. My eyes widen when I saw a very luxury car park in the same spot Matty said. I got closer to the window and saw 6 guys get out the car. I squinted my eyes because it seemed like there was another guy. All 6 surrounded him as he walked in the middle of them. It was like they were protecting him from anyone trying to hurt him. I looked down at the card and picked up my phone. I cleared out the number and looked back up. I couldn't see what the guy in the middle was doing. I got out the office and headed towards them slowly. My eyes widen when one turned to look at me and had a gun in his hand. I turned around so fast that I didn't even try to hide the fact that I did it. I rushed to the office and locked the door. I didn't even look out the window or get near it. I called the number but no one answered. It became dark outside. I had to lock up and leave. I couldn't stay here like my soul wanted too. Obviously, he wasn't still out there or was he? Even worse, all of them.

I walked outside and locked up. I looked around and it seemed like no one was around. I made it to my house safely and felt better when I got inside. I locked the door and turned around to turn on the light.

I gasped when I saw all 7 of them in my living room sitting. The one that I was not able to see at the graveyard had a big smirk on his face and I was the opposite. How did I get involved in all of this?
