They rang the doorbell and a tall handsome man stood in front of them.

“Alex?”

“Hi, Robbie.”

“It’s been a long time.”

“Mom,” said a girl who emerged from behind her. “Is he the one?”

“The one what?”

She rolled her eyes.

“Duh?! Can’t you see? I’m your daughter.”

“What?! That can’t be right.”

“Better believe it, stupid!”

“Honey!”

“What?”

“I thought you said I’m gay, Alex?”

“You’re what?”

“You hear that right, honey. Your daddy is gay.”

"How are you feeling?" asked the man in a white coat as Tonette slowly opened her eyes. Standing with him were two people, Robbie and Alex with a concerned look on their faces.

"I'm glad you're okay," said Alex gently as she sat beside her holding her hand.

"What... What are you both doing here? And why am I here?" she asked in a throaty voice.

"You passed out while driving and had been into an accident," the doctor replied.

"A-Accident? Is the other car okay? Oh my God!" she started to panic as she tried to sit but the whole place spun around her. "Ugh!"

"Rest, Tonette," and Alex helped her to settle back down along with the doctor and nurse. Tonette leaned her head back on the pillow that the nurse placed on her head and closed her eyes.
