43. Period

# Hey guys... Your author here..... Sorry for being irregular in updating my story... Things were a bit rough for me... I'll try my level best to upload regularly... " Lara.. It's your turn to present..", Liam said. Lara immediately looked up with a smile and stood up. She walked up to the front and started presenting with a smile.

After half an hour.

" Thank you for spending your time and listening to me..", Lara said with a light bow and walked back to her seat. Then there was the sound of loud applause. Everyone present was amused by her presentation style.

But Liam, Tom and Mike felt that something was wrong with her. They felt that she was hiding some pain. Her movements were also quite stiff, unlike her usual fee demeanour. They were getting very worried.

After a few minutes, the three of them saw her looking down with her eyes closed. Her hands looked like she was gripping into something tightly. Liam who was sitting next to her looked down and saw that her right hand was pressed onto her stomach and her left hand was clutching the chair's hand rest so tightly that her knuckles were turning white.

He felt worried and placed a hand on her thigh and gently caressed it. She flinched at the sudden contact and looked up. He saw her eyes that were filled with tears that were threatening to flow out at any moment.

Lara felt slight relief as her attention got shifted for a while. But than suddenly she felt like someone stabbed her and she immediately closed her eyes. A few tears flowed out of her eyes, but she quickly wiped it off.

But this action didn't go unnoticed by the three guys. Their worry increased when they saw that she was crying. Their princess was in some sort of pain, but they didn't know what it was.

Liam looked at his watch and realised that it was almost lunch time. He cleared his throat to bring everyone's attention to him." It's almost lunch time. Let us meet in 90 minutes", he said. The others couldn't refuse and slowly walked out. Who would dare to oppose the devil??

Tom and Mike gave Liam a nod of approval and he returned it. They stayed back till every one of them had left and then immediately got up from their seats to rush to Lara

Lara was shocked to hear what Liam said and looked up. After she made sure that everybody had left and only her brothers and Liam were left, she pushed her chair slightly back and clutched her abdomen tightly. Tears started flowing out of her eyes. Sweat also started falling down on her face.

Her brothers crouched in front of her and started asking her questions out of worry." Lara baby.. What happened?? Where is it hurting princess??...", they asked softly. They were unable to figure what was going on. Liam was just standing beside her and looking at her wordlessly. He was feeling that he knew what was wrong with her.

Lara was unable to open her mouth. Even if she did, no sound would come out. The pain was increasing in such a fast pace that she felt like people were attacking her stomach with multiple knives and many other objects. The brothers didn't know what to do because she was not speaking.

Liam placed his hand on her shoulder gently and asked hesitantly," Lara.. Are you perhaps… On your period??.". She looked up and slightly nodded. The brothers now found out what was wrong but this was something they had no knowledge about. Because they grew up with no girls around, they didn't know how to help her.

Liam, who had an older sister, had already seen such scenes. But he was also inexperienced in this topic. " I usually don't have cramps.. I couldn't find any painkillers at home and was in a hurry… So ..", Lara spoke softly.

After a few seconds, she felt a bit of relief. She took a deep breath and decided to stand up. The minute she was on her feet, she felt a very strong wave of pain hit her and her knees gave away. She sobbed on her knees.

This sight broke their hearts. Before the brothers could take any action, Liam lifted Lara in his arms and carried her out of the meeting room. They just followed him out. There was only one thought going on in their hearts, their princess had to be safe.. They would look into this Liam matter soon..

The office area was empty as everyone had gone for lunch. He quickly carried her inside his office and placed her gently on the couch. She clutched her abdomen and sobbed.

" Lara what should we do for you???", Liam asked as he stroked her hair. " Pain… Painkillers..", she slowly whimpered. At this time Mike and Tom were browsing on Google to get more information. They now realised how severe cramps could be.

They then found a list of things that could be given to women on their period and Mike rushed out to buy them.

Tom placed his hand on her stomach and gently massaged it. She flinched a bit at the start but calmed down. It was indeed a bit relaxing. She suddenly felt sharp pain and hissed. Tom thought he was hurting her and was about to pull his hand off. But Lara stopped him by placing her hand on his and said," Can you continue doing what you are doing for a while brother??"

" Of course..", he said with a soft smile and continued massaging her stomach. Liam went and picked up a few tissues from his table and dabbed the sweat and tears off Lara's face and neck. Tom was intently observing Liam's actions secretly and was amused.

He was surprised seeing the care and attention he was showing her. He first thought the guy had some ulterior motive, but when he looked at his eyes, he could see genuine worry and care for her.
