I am sorry

On Sunday evening, when Victor came back, he brought all the needed documents and appointment letters with him.

He was going to work as an assistant head in the investigation bureau, Cyn will work at MG hospital where the patients of the accident were admitted.

While Vale will work as a new assistant manager in D&m cafe which is near the accident.

They had dinner together while Victor was looking at Cyn again and again. He wanted to say something but decided against it.

When everyone settled to bed Victor tiptoed and checked both, then locked their rooms from outside. He slowly went to the kitchen and started YouTube.

He started Cooking while watching the video again. It was a sight to behold. Every ingredient he wanted came automatically flying toward him, spatula was moving on its own.

He was just looking at the screen in a concentrated manner. And everything else was working on its own. Vegetables were getting cut, cream was getting whipped. While Cyn was silently watching her from behind confusedly. He locked us, so that he can cook!

"You can come out darling, I can sense you even when you are invisible." said Victor putting the last dish on table of course without using hands.

"When did you realise I was here?" asked Cyn after becoming visible again.

"After a few moments you came. I thought you were asleep" he said avoiding her eyes.

"Yeah, I saw how you Locked both of us. May I know why? And why are you cooking in the middle of the night?" She asked, tasting the steak.

Damn it was cooked just perfect and so as her favourite strawberry cream pie. Hmmmm, she closed her eyes and let the taste sink into her mouth. "I must say both siblings are bestowed with great cooking skills."

"How is it? " He asked anticipatingly

"It's delicious. I didn't know you are a good cook." She replied, still eating food.

"So am I Cyn, I didn't know you can't cook. I am sorry. You should have denied it when I asked you." He said hugging her from behind. She could feel he was nervous or sad!

"Hey, it was my mistake. See I am not as good as you think." But before she could say more he cut her off.

"If God could change powers I must have given you mine so that you could find what you are in my eyes Cyn.

How precious you are. It's just me.. I am a fool to not know about this. I am sorry" he said sadly.

Cyn could see the raw emotions on his face, he held her hands and brought her out of the apartment in the garden. So that he could talk to her freely.

They both sat on a bench facing each other. "Cyn, you don't trust me. Last time when I told you, you can tell me anything. Why didn't you? "

"I would learn Vic, it's not a big deal. I didn't want to be a burden here. While you both work. "

"How could you say that Cyn, you are never a burden to me. You are.. you are my life Cyn, I was so empty before you" he slowly caressed the smoothness of her cheek from his thumb.

Butterflies began to Flutter inside her stomach. Her heart began to beat like a drum. Like it would come out any moment. He came closer to her face until the distance of their lips was inch apart.

She could smell the freshness of his breath with the sweet scent of strawberries he tasted while cooking. She could feel the warmth of his touch. "Cyn, you were something I was missing in my life. When you came in, I felt complete.

As if everything I have in my life before you was meaningless. How should I explain my feelings to you, so that if not love at least you could trust me Cyn."

His breath was touching her, his thumb was still caressing her, and his intense gaze Was opening something in her which she didn't even know was there.

Instead of looking away from the intensity of his gaze like always, she turned even closer to him to drown herself in this unknown feeling, the tenderness and love flowing from his eyes making her vulnerable.

"Even if I won't be queen. Or.. Or any royalty later in my life? Even if I want to live a simple life away from all that politics?" She asked the most vulnerable question she had, she knew her father didn't love her mother.

Maybe not even her. He just loves her for her knowledge, if she will stop being wise or start enjoying her life like Vale, she knows her father will start avoiding her like plague.

She was just a pawn in maintaining balance. No one ever loved her for who she is. She didn't expect much now.

But his raw emotions are giving her hope. Hope of being loved and cared for. Tears were threatening to fall from her eyes at his silence. Did she ask much again?

She knew she shouldn't ask. She looked up to the sky to stop her tears from falling down on her cheeks. Millions of stars were Scattered in the sky. And the presence of a full moon made the sky even brighter than usual. She closed her eyes to collect her thoughts.

She took a deep breath and then returned her gaze back to him. He was still looking at her, but there was a mischievous grin on his face.

Before she could ask, he traced his thumb below her eyes on the lone tear fallen from her eyes. He gently wiped it, collected it on his hand and sucked his own thumb.

He closed his eyes like he is savoring the taste of the world's best delicacy.
