With the 'ding' of the bell her eyes opened. She tried her best to concentrate, but her vision was blurred. She blinked her eyes a few time and wiped them with the back of her hands. She inhaled and exhaled the air out of her lungs.

A few people entered and eyed her and Cynthia. A lady kind enough to come and ask, "Hey, are you both okay? Do you need some water?" She handed her bottle to Valerie.

She mustered her best smile and thanked the lady. Then she poured water over her face to clean her eyes and wake her mind. She drank the rest of the water. It helped her enough in getting a clear vision back. Then she tried to stand supporting still unconscious Cynthia in her arms.

"Do you need any help?" Asked a girl standing there with headphone over her ears. Valerie gave a grateful smile and nodded. The girl came forward and put the other arm of Cynthia over her neck.
