Valerie's hand which she was using to take the drink stopped in mid-air.
She turned and found him standing there, looking at her with that same deep intense eyes.
First, he held me at the entrance, then he avoided me the moment he entered now he was back here. Had he developed a split personality or what!' she fumed.
"May I have the dance?" he asked, forwarding his hand to her.
"I am tired from all the walks we had in the forest, sorry, I would not be able to dance," she responded plainly, there was no regret in her voice.
He narrowed his eyes at her perfunctory answer. Surely, witches don't feel tired with this small physical activity. Yet, he nodded. Showing that he understood, and changed the proposal.
"Then let's sing a song, whichever you like," he asked again, taking his hand back and putting it in his pockets.
