As the man continued to laugh, Adam had already reached for the dagger, he looked last time at the direction of the cave where Valerie and Leo were but he was astonished to not find one there.

He was sure he was just a few meters away from the cave, so he should easily see it then why could not he. He had not seen the cave before either. It was only Valerie who had seen it.
