I shoot upright. My alarm is screeching from across the room and there are multiple knocks coming from my door.
I run a hand through my hair, more like tried, because my whole hand got stuck in the tangles. As I desperately try to free my fingers from their nest-like trap, I yell a 'Come In!'
The door opens and I'm greeted by the alarmingly cheerfull faces of my parents and surprisingly... a very sleepy looking Peter.
They all have these huge goofy smiles on their faces as they're singing one of the most obscure versions of 'Happy Birthday' that I have ever heard. It went something along the lines of 'You smell like a monkey' and 'Blessing in you'.
I laugh and give a slow, sarcastic, Hermoine style clap as they finish and I send Peter a grateful smile when he switches off my annoying alarm clock. He comes and sits next to me on my bed with my parents squishing together on the end of it.
"Happy Birthday honey," Mom said, handing me a neatly wrapped present. I gently unwrap it, trying to avoid tearing the beautiful paper.
Inside there lays a beautiful, sleek black sketch pad and an array of coloured pencils and pens along with a bunch of expensive looking sketching stuff. "OMG Guys you didn't!" I shout in joy. Mom smiles at my excitement. "I saw this and I just had to buy it immediately."
I nodded and put it aside. Next, I move on to my dad's present, also neatly wrapped and is probably a tenth of the size of mom's present. Inside is a black credit card. I'm speechless. Nothing came out of my mouth for like ten minutes straight and I couldn't even form proper sentences from the shock. "It's so you can be more independent. I mean you're a young woman now. This way you won't constantly have to ask us to buy things for you."
Lastly there was Peter's. His present was not very neatly wrapped and I didn't hesitate to rip it open, since I wouldn't be ruining any of his 'hard' work. I gasped. Inside lay {insert favourite book series} all brand new and ready to be read.
I tackled him into a hug with a loud squeal. "Thank you! Thankyouthankyouthankyouuuuuuu!!!" Peter's smile widened at my reaction and he returned my hug, patting me on the back.
"You're welcome. I knew you would like it." I peck him on the cheek in further thanks, leaving him red faced and stuttering when I move back to my original place. I giggle and think to myself. 'His reactions are so cute.'
To be honest I had the tiniest crush on him, but I mean who wouldn't? He's freaking adorable. 'Hehe it's more like, a-dork-able,' I think to myself once again.
I look at all of them. "Thanks guys. I really appreciate all of this." Growing up I was never spoiled by my parents and I became familiar with the word 'no' very early in my childhood, even if we were rich. They didn't want me to end up being a spoiled brat, and it worked.
"Okay guys scoot. I need to get dressed." I say while getting out of bed. They all quickly move out of the room with my mom being the last to leave. Before she closed the door she turned around and said; Alright, but hurry since breakfast will be ready soon."
"Alright mom." She closes the door and I lazily stretch and stroll into my closet. I quickly pick a nice outfit (outfit of your choice).
I brush my hair and style it, brush my teeth and rush downstairs.
I land in my seat just as my food is placed in front of me. "AAAAWWWWW YIIIIIISSSSSS WAFFFFFLLLEEEESSSS!!" Peter and I shout in unison. We high five each other before digging in, with my parents laughing and shaking their heads at us.

After a delicious breakfast, we quickly made our way to the subway. Ned stood there waiting for us. "Hóla lovebirds," he greeted with a cheeky smile.
"Shut up Ned." Peter mumbled, his face glowing a bright red. Suddenly the people around us gasped as an Iron Man suit came to land in front of me.
"Hey kids," the voice of my godfather, Tony Stark, echoed through the suit's speakers.
"Hey Mister Stark," Ned and Peter mumbled in shock, still trying to process what just happened.
"Hey Tony," I reply casually inspecting his suit. "What brings you to our neck of the woods?"
"Can't I just wish my goddaughter a happy birthday like any loving godfather?" He asks while stepping out of the suit, arms open waiting for a hug.
I scoff. "Not with an entrance like that, you can't."
Tony sighs and looks down at the sidewalk; "You're right. I came here to tell you that you aren't going to school today and before you ask, yes I have cleared this with your parents."
I squeal in joy and jump into his arms to give him a hug. "Wait, what EXACTLY are we gonna be doing?"
Tony looks at me with a sly smirk; "I guess you're gonna have to wait and see..."
He puts me down. Peter, Ned and I glance at each other nervously. "Okay... now I'm scared," Peter mumbled and Ned nods in agreement.
Tony chuckles at our behavior. Suddenly he claps his hands and points to a black car that appeared out of nowhere. He reaches to open the back door of the car and gestures dramatically at the backseat.
"All aboard the Stark Express! In other words: Get in kiddies, we're going to Disneyland." He looks to the ground and face-palms.
"Dammit," he muttered; "I just gave the secret away."
