Chapter 15

Hakai nodded as they waited for their food. "Yeah, and we're planning to go to the Grand Line soon."

"Well you have to be strong. I heard that many pirates die in the Grand Line not because of other pirates, but because of the sea itself. Obviously though, I would easily conquer the Grand Line."

Hakai looked at the chef as he gave them their orders and he started eating. "Don't worry we're strong."

"I can see it. You definitely look... big. My father is a pirate too and someday I want to go out to sea to meet him," Usopp said as he watched them eat their food.

"Then why don't you?" Hakai already knew the reason. It was because of Kaya, which he was planning to take for his crew.

"Right, thanks for reminding me. I guess you guys are free to stay here, but don't cause any trouble or my men will kill you!" Usopp left the restaurant, heading for the mansion that Kaya lived in.

Usopp sneaked past the Mansion's fence and climbed the tree and knocked on the window.

"Ah, Usopp! Nice to see you," Kaya said, smiling as she opened the window for them to talk.

"Nice to see you too, Kaya. Keep quiet though, I don't want your stupid butler hearing me."

"Usopp! Don't call Klahadore stupid. He just wants what's best for me," she said, looking down a bit.

"Fine fine, anyway you'll never believe what I did today," Usopp said with a wide grin.

Kaya tilted her head. "What did you do?"

"I stopped a pirate attack! I didn't even break a sweat too. One of them was scary looking and tall. Real tall even taller than your butler and the other was a woman, but don't worry I didn't beat up an innocent woman, this woman was... uhh... captured by the big guy right and using my strength..." Usopp flexed his arm. "I beat them easily."

"Wow!" Kaya smiled and giggled as she clapped.

Usopp smiled too seeing Kaya smile. He was about to tell Kaya another story when they were interrupted by a voice.

"Kaya! Who are you talking to? I'm coming in."

"Oh no, Usopp you should go or you'll get in trouble. We can talk more later or tomorrow," she said as she closed the window.

Usopp climbed down the tree and snuck out of the fences when he saw 2 familiar figures at the gate of the mansion. Quickly, Usopp approached them. "Psst, what are you two doing?"

"Yeah, what are we doing here, Hakai? Is this where we're going to get the third member of our crew?" Makino asked.

"It is, but we're also here to deal with a certain pirate?"

"There's no pirate here, big guy," Usopp said. "The only pirates here are you guys."

"Now that's where you're wrong." Hakai looked at the gate. "Tsk, how does this gate open. Oh well they're rich, right?"

Grabbing the gates, Hakai forced them open, making a loud sound that attracted the butlers of the mansion.

The first one that showed up was a man that looked like a lamb. He had white, curly hair with a pair of horns that spiraled on top.

"Stop! What are you doing?" Looking around, the man saw Usopp. "Are you a part of this?"

This man was Merry, the person that would later build the Straw Hats the Going Merry which would be their very first proper ship although with how Hakai was planning to deal with Klahadore, he was unsure of how they'd get their ship, but whatever. This was his story, plus, they probably have some insane plot armor.

"He didn't do anything. I'm here to look for a man called Klahadore," Hakai replied.

"Well he's currently busy, so please leave," Merry said.

Although Merry said that, Klahadore had been listening in from the start, hearing the gate being forcefully opened.

"It's alright, Merry. I'm right here. What did you need?" Klahadore asked as he moved Merry to the side and looking face to face with Hakai.

He was actually considerably tall for a normal human, but compared to Hakai who was 10 feet tall, he was small.

"Makino, can you get Kaya here? It should be easy since she's a thin and frail girl with blonde hair."

Makino nodded and used her observation haki to find Kaya who wasn't very hard to find because there weren't very girls in the mansion and she was the only thin, and frail one.

Klahadore and some of the butlers tried to stop her, but Hakai pulled out his katana. "If any of you move, you die."

"Big guy, what are you doing? I thought you weren't going to attack the village?" Usopp asked.

Makino brought Kaya back shortly after, letting her sit down and rest on the side.

"Why did you bring me here?" Kaya asked.

"Watch carefully, Kaya. This man in front of me, who you have trusted your whole life is a fake," Hakai announced.

Firmly grasping his katana, Hakai swung it down on Klahadore, purposefully making it slow enough so he could react and dodge, but still fast enough so he would think it was a threat.

Just like he wanted, Klahadore made some quick and rapid foot movements and disappeared from where he was standing, dodging the sword strike.

"I don't know what you're talking about, but get out of here before you die," Klahadore said, pulling out a pistol.

"Still trying to lie, Captain Kuro?"

Klahadore, or Kuro, flinched as he heard his old name. "You... How do you know of that name?"

"I don't know. How do I?" Hakai swung his katana again, increasing the speed this time as the other butlers fired their guns at him, but he simply coated his body with haki, his skin being coated by black scales and deflecting the bullets.
