She thought that after she spoke out, the only one to react would be Jiang Wanze, since he was his older brother.
Unexpectedly, Jiang Wanze didn't show much reaction; instead, the ones who reacted strongly were Lin Yan and Cary.
Lin Yan looked at her with a worried expression, while Cary silently gave her a thumbs-up, as if saying 'Bravo for your courage.'
"Wh-what's wrong?"
Ye Xian felt anxious under their gaze, "Why are you looking at me like that? Are you going to tattle on me?"
Cary: "Are you scared?"
"Scared my ass! I would dare to say it to his face..." Dare to say it... bullshit, she would be too intimidated to find her bearings in front of him. But after being bullied so miserably by him, couldn't she vent her feelings in private?
These three big men surely wouldn't actually go and tattle, not that idle.
"Thud—" Suddenly, a loud noise came from beneath the seat, startling Ye Xian so that she quickly looked down, but saw nothing.
She turned her head slightly. Indeed, a luxury car was a luxury car; there was even a visual barrier between the front and rear seats, so she couldn't see anything going on in the back at all.
"Is there someone in the back?"
Ye Xian looked at Cary and Lin Yan with confusion.
Cary and Lin Yan maintained silence, not speaking to her.
Ye Xian raised an eyebrow; they had arrived at their destination.
Hexi Exhibition Hall was dazzlingly lit, with a cacophony of music and noise; around the hall, all kinds of luxury cars were parked. The red carpet extended from inside the hall all the way to the main entrance, where countless fans and media reporters frantically filmed artists stepping out of their cars.
"Next up, approaching us, is the hugely popular Asian boy band FOR!!!"
The host read with fervor, holding the microphone, as the chauffeur opened the door of the extended Lincoln limousine; Jiang Wanze was the first to step out.
The man wore a silver-white suit, his appearance clean-cut, elegant in style, and as tall and straight as a young poplar, seemingly radiating starlight. Wherever he went, he dazzled and attracted everyone's attention, causing fans on both sides of the red carpet to scream at the top of their lungs.
"Ahhh! Wanze! Brother Ze is here!"
"Oppa, ahhh! You look so good tonight! What immortal looks, I'm crying!"
"Xiao Ze, mom has waited so long for you! Look here, look here!"
"Brother's raw photos are so amazing!"
Following him out of the car were Lin Yan and Cary, two men who couldn't be more different.
Lin Yan wore a light coffee-colored trench coat, gentle and refined as jade, courteously shaking hands with fans, his smile seemingly warming the coolness of the night.
Cary wore the latest fashion studs jacket, shining metallic in multicolored lights, seductive and electrifying just like the wink in the corner of his eye. The fans who caught his gaze covered their chests, hearts in their eyes, wishing they could call an ambulance immediately.
"Lin Yan, Lin Yan, Lin Yan! Look at mommy, mommy loves you so much!"
"Cary, ahhh! He winked at me, I'm dying!"
"Brother Yan, Brother Yan! I'm so excited!"
As soon as FOR appeared, the screams defining the night truly matched their name; the fans' frenzied cries almost blew the roof off the hall, even the artists who had already taken their seats inside heard them, and they all laughed and discussed among themselves 'it must be FOR arriving.'
Ye Xian was the last of FOR to step onto the red carpet.
Even though she wasn't in a floor-length gown with her hair flowing behind her, and even though these screaming fans weren't there for her, the intense familiarity of the scene inexplicably made her feel satisfied.
