Chapter 25 ‘The ritual’

If it were up to me, frankly I would now be at home on the couch watching a movie with Jayden, two strong arms wrapped around me, but unfortunately it is not up to me, but my fate. I never really thought about my fate, because I never really believed in such things I found the word 'fate' stupid, because then it would be fated that my dad had left me and my mom but apperently it was. Now the switch has turned and it all started with my father saying he's a vampire, who would ever believe that? Sadly I have to believe it because I've seen it myself, the proof of the extinction of such creatures like vampires and you think that it can't get worse? Well the boy I love is a vampire, what a crazy world this, but when I really started thinking about my fate the moment I got up on the stone wall standing and one wrong move and I was no longer there, what are people vulnerable, a stupid action and you are not here anymore, people mourn about you, but who has been there and who saved me from my stupid actions?

Jayden..

never thought that I would fall in love and certainly not with a vampire! Yes, who thinks about it that this fate thing is waiting for you to get you, I never thought about it that way, because you don't expect this to happen to you!

Why am I thinking about this so much?

Because I know this is my end, my destiny is almost fulfilled.

I heard my father talk about me that this is my destiny, giving my pure soul to the people with black souls. My father did not agree with this at all. All I want is a normal life with my family, but unfortunately that is not normally in my dictionary, but giving away my pure soul to black souls is. In my opinion, when you do such good thing you deserve a prize or at least a thank you and what do I deserve? Death! But even once I avoid my fate, it will be behind me watching me and it waits for me to grab me! My life purpose is almost fulfilled whether I want it or not, that determines my fate.

Seth grabbed my arm and dragged me with him as I let my feet drag on the ground.

"What do you have such depressed thoughts?" He said jokingly. I rolled my eyes and took a deep breath in and out.

He turned his head towards me to make eye contact. I was quiet. I know he can read my mind.

"Fine then not!" He said irritably, he stopped walking and took my upper arm and pulled me towards him and lifted me up.

"I can walk myself!" I struggled.

"Use your damn legs then stupid girl!" And he let me fall from his arms on the cold ground.

We walked towards a large black metal door. He put his hand on the door and there was a clicking noise from the door and the door opened.

"Ladies gor first." I looked at him in irritation.

"Well then where are you waiting for?" I said, I am going to die anyways, why be sweet when I can leave an bitch impression.

He grabbed my arm and he pushed me through the doorway and walked through the large metal door.

We walked in a large round hall, everything was black, the ceiling was completely made of glass so that the light came in from the beautiful moon outside.

Can I go outside too, go home?

"No." Seth said, I sighed.

He looked at his watch, I think it was 12 AM.

"With three minutes the ritual begins, then it is midnight"

Great..

"Maybe be a bit more enthusiastic" He said with a grin.

A smaller door opened opposite the large door, people all dressed in black walked in a row one after the other, they all had a mantille in front of their faces.

"Stand in the center of the circle." Seth commanded. I walked to the center, keeping a close eye on the people in black.

Seth stood in front of me and the people stood around Seth and me, it was about fifteen people.

"One minute." Seth said with a grin.

My legs started to shake at the point of the thought that I can't be there anymore in one minute.

"Are the corridors well guarded?" Seth asked Paul, because he was standing and the hall too.

"Yes sir"

"All right, leave the hall" And Paul left the hall.

"I had everything extra well guarded in case your father and your little prince think about coming to rescue you." And he looked at me with a grin. Seth checked his watch.

"It's time"

The people slowly raised their hands and a bright light came from the glass of the moon.

The people kept repeating the same sentence 'mutata in tenebris pura'

I felt a lightness and my skin started to tingle.

After they repeated the same sentence more than ten times, my body started to tingle very much and then they were quiet.

Seth grinned at me.

"Lord of the dark, do you want a pure soul from the Ms of the pure?" One of the people around us asked.

"Yes." Seth said formally

"Ms of the pure, will you give your life's juice to the lord of the dark so that he may obtain your pure soul?"

"Uh .. uh ..." Seth gave me a killer look. I thought about Jayden, mom, dad, my friends and what he would do to them if I said no.

"Y ... Yes ..." I stuttered

Then my lord, you can drink the life juice from Ms of the pure.

Seth's eyes turned red and his fangs appeared.

This is my end, my because of my stupid destiny!

My destiny is almost fulfilled. We are one more step away and then my destiny is fulfilled, my death..

A grin appeared on Seth's face.

Seth's mouth found its way to his neck and his fangs found their way into my vein.

Suddenly I heard a loud bang from a door that opened. Seth was pulled away from me and I fell to the floor.

"I will kill you!!!" It sounded like Jayden's voice.

I looked around and what I saw was lifeless bodies on the ground. My eyes fell on Jayden who had his hands wrapped around Seth's neck.

Wait..

Jayden is here!

Jayden is here to save me!!!

Fuck Jayden killed all of those people!

"Jayden..." My vocal cords barely came out.

In a flash, I was laying in Jayden's arms.

"Aurora!" He gave me a big hug

"I'm so sorry... I should have protected you better."

"This is not your fault."

"I hate this, fuck Aurora you are hurt!" He looked at me concerned.

"Now that you're there, it's going fine." A worried smile appeared on his face.

"I've got to deal with something." Jayden said in a dark yet worried tone.

I nodded.

He picked me up and slowly lowered me on a black couch against the wall, Jayden walked very threatening to Seth, fuck he is going to kill Seth!
