Almost everyone had arrived when Noah had entered the room .It was filled with laughters and joy of meeting each other again after so long. Noah greeted all of his friends and took a seat next to Leo which was empty. Noahs eyes were looking for someone in nervousness when suddenly the door opened and it was Nolan who had just arrived. he apologized for being late and took a seat across from Noah .Noah felt nervous seeing Nolan sit across him . Leo was the first person to approach Nolan:

"Hey dude how have you been doing?"

"Nothing much. I am a busybody who has to handle all the works since our parents left the company in my hand."Nolan said in a husky tone

"I thought you would be a basketball player dude cant imagine you working in an office." Asher said laughing

"Nolan u came alone?" Zoe said with a shocked face when she arrived at the table with the plates. "I thought Eve was coming with you. "

Noah was startled at the words of Zoe . He felt both excited and nervous to hear Nolans answer. That means Evelyn hasnt arrived yet he thought smiling.

"Her flight got delayed by an hour so she said she will be late and asked me to go without her." Nolan said taking the plate from Zoë .

"But she said you were coming back together." Zoë said in her angry tone.

"She had some works to do at the company in the last hour so I came two days ago alone." Nolan said in a baby tone as he was scared that Zoë would beat him to death .

The room was filled with people asking about how they had been and what were they doing and so on

After almost an hour the door opened again .This time Noah could feel his heart beating so loudly he thought his heart was going to explode when he saw Evelyn enter .she had got more beautiful than before Noah thought and he turned to look at his plate as he didnt have enough strength to look in her eyes .

Evelyn sat next to Nolan and greeted everyone and talked to everyone for sometime. She stopped when she saw Noah sitting across her. She felt as if he was close yet far. She dared not to speak to him as she knew it would not matter to him anymore.

"Noah who is the little girl in the photo u posted recently?" Stella asked

Finally Noah looked up but he couldnt speak a word since his eyes met Evelyns eye . Her eyes still looked so pure Noah thought.

"Oooooohh its lorey, she is 5 years now."Noah said after clearing his throat.

He then looked at Evelyn but she was staring at her food as if she was a statue there.

Evelyn was shocked at what Noah answered. She thought it means he got married to her and now he has a child too is it only me who thought we could get back together. Tears rolled down her eyes without even realizing. She excused herself to washroom and cried her heart out in there.

Almost 20 min had passed since Evelyn had gone to restroom and when she returned back the room seemed so silent. Okay everyone I have something to announce Amy said raising her glass.

"We are getting married ."Luke said holding Amy's hand and kissed her in her cheek.

The room was filled with screams and congratulatory words for the couple.

Evelyn couldnt handle herself so she left early after saying goodbye to her besties. She cried all the way back home. She felt as if someone had shot her with an arrow right through her heart .
