"What are you going as for Halloween?" Landon asked Remy.
"Nothing. I'm 18. I don't go trick-or-treating."
"Well, duh. But are you doing anything?"
"No, are you?"
"Each house here has their own little Halloween party in the lounge. The dean puts it together, but there's never any teachers to keep watch during, so it's fun."
Remy wasn't really a people person, and as a result, he was not a party person either. But with Landon, Renee, and Emmitt, he supposed it could be alright. "What are you dressing up as?"
"I'm gonna be Aladdin, and Renee's going as Jasmine."
"Any excuse to take off your shirt, huh?"
Landon smirked, "Don't judge. It's Halloween, and I'll dress slutty if I want to. Besides, we still haven't found your costume yet, and for all we know, it'll be worse than mine."
"So what do you think my costume should be?"
"Something that's like, the complete opposite of you... so something cool."
"Oooh! You got me! Good one!" Remy said, ruining Landon's burn with his overeager response.
"Yeah. Thanks," Landon pouted. "So what vibe do you want your costume to have? Are we going scary, cute, or slutty?"
"Um, I don't know. Cute, I guess."
"Aw, but that's the lamest one!" He considered it for a second. "Actually, you'd look so cute as a little tiger! Rawr."
"Wow, I need that to stop immediately."
Landon continued as if he hadn't spoken. "Oh, I know! You could go as the monkey from Aladdin. We could do a little three-way costume."
"What did I just say, Landon? I need that to stop!" Remy laughed.
He just grinned back at him.
"What's Emmitt going as? Or is he also tagging along in your little orgy of Aladdin characters?"
"Nah. He's going as some Marvel superhero. Black Panther, I think."
"Cool. But could I just be, like, a ghost or something? Just throw on a sheet and be done with it?"
"Nooo, because that's not fun. You will be Abu, and you will like it."
"Okay, but I'm not going to make any effort to get that costume."
Landon looked at him with a sly grin, "Oh, don't worry, my friend. I will have it all taken care of."
"That worries me."
"As it should."
