Mo Yujian

Ouyang Xueqing was stunned momentarily. Even the pain of her right eye was thrown onto the back of her mind.

She was not going to die soon, okay? Indeed, she was having some serious injuries, but it will not made her lose her life!

She struggled to get back up. It was a bit embarrassing to greet the man while lying on the ground.

With much effort, she sat up, yet her forehead had already glistened with sweat and she was panting heavily.

"I'm…okay. Thank you very much Mister for saving my life."

"I am only passing by, and it was loud and annoying."

"…"

Ouyang Xueqing's mouth twitched. Loud and annoying, did he mean…the tiger or her? Anyway, he had saved her life, so she would not argue with him.

On the far distance, there was a cry. The wind gale was approaching, almost making Ouyang Xueqing tumbled and crashing onto the man if not for him reaching her arms and hold her in place. "Qing'er…Qing'er!!"

That sounded awfully familiar. Ouyang Xueqing's eyes brightened. Relief washed over her.

She shouted on top of her lungs. "Grandpa! Grandpa, Qing'er is here!!"

A burly man in his sixties appeared on the sky, a pair of wings were seen on his back. It was black and large. Some of his feather fluttered along the wind, swaying with a gentle motion.

When the man spotted her granddaughter, he dived and landed swiftly on his feet, his wings were flapping, rippling the air around.

"Qing'er!" He scooped his dear granddaughter into his arms and scanned her anxiously. "Are you seriously hurt? Oh damn, your right eye…"

The rims of his eyes reddened seeing the battered and bloody state she was in.

The side of her face was badly disfigured and her right eye seemed damaged. There were not an inch of her skin untouched with scratches and wounds.

He put his hand on her forehead, transferring his spiritual energy onto her.

The warm current slowly circulating in her veins, making her aching body slightly better. Her bleeding stopped.

"Hang in there, okay? We will go home soon, Grandpa had called the physician and he will be there shortly."

"Hm." Ouyang Xueqing nodded. "What about Mother? Is she okay?"

Ouyang Feiyang sighed. "Alas, your mother's injuries were a little severe. But don't worry, your father was with her. She will be okay."

Ouyang Xueqing breathed a sigh in relief. Suddenly her body grew weak and her eyes were hot. She sobbed pitifully. "Grandpa…"

The most extreme life-and-death situation had scared her witless and she was so glad that she could still be alive and breathing.

Only at that time did Ouyang Feiyang realized there was a third party between him and his granddaughter. He was a man with white robes and white mask, looking twenties.

Ouyang Feiyang scrutinized the man closely. He was surprised that he couldn't probe the strength of the man in front of him!

Ouyang Xueqing blinked her tears away, her wet eyelashes batted against her cheeks. "Grandpa, he is the mister that saved my life!"

"Really?" He exclaimed and cupped his fists respectfully. "This gentleman, thank you very much for saving my family's lass. The General's manor owed you a favor!"

The man glanced before looking away, seemingly disinterested. "It's okay."

Ouyang Feiyang was bewildered. This was a first time he met someone so cold in the face of the general.

After all, they were closely linked with the Royal Palace and considered the greatest and first rank family in the entire Beast Mainland ah!

Having saved the little princess of The Beast Mainland and getting a favor from the General's Manor was something that someone couldn't get even if they wished for a miracle.

How great was that favor? It could almost grant anything, wealth, fame, treasures, they were not lacking in everything.

Yet the man brushed it off so easily like that?

"Don't say it like that, young man. We, the beasts, were taught to repay the drop of water by the gush of spring. How about staying for a few days in our manor and be our honored guest?"

"It's okay. I am just passing by, it is inconvenient."

Ouyang Feiyang was once again dumbfounded. Rejecting the favor, he could barely accept that. Now, he had even rejected their sincere invitation? Should he say that the young man was ignorant or arrogant?

"If there's nothing else, please excuse me." He cupped his fists, bowed slightly and turned to leave.

From the start to end, there wasn't even a bit of fluctuation in his eyes. It was calm and cold like the sea.

To Ouyang Feiyang's surprise, her granddaughter that clung to his leg suddenly sprinted forward and grabbed the sleeve of the leaving man. "Mister, wait!"

"Qing'er!"

She acted like he didn't hear his grandfather at all. Her eyes were focused on the pure white man. "Mister, will we meet again in the future?"

He frowned slightly. His arched eyebrows were like a pair of moon, it was beautiful and enchanting.

Ouyang Xueqing found that she held her breath subconsciously.

She too didn't know why. But when he look at the gradually distancing back, she was filled with reluctance.

When she regained her senses, she had cling onto the man and prevented him from leaving.

"I don't know."

The man moved her gaze from the little dirty hand toward the girl's dirtied and bloodied face. Her figure was so messy that he couldn't see her clearly.

One of her eye were closed and injured leaving only one that looked at him with so much expectation and hope that he suddenly couldn't bear to flung her hand away.

"If we are fated, then we will meet again."

The girl's bright eye dimmed in disappointment and he found his chest ached dully. The pain disappeared on the next second that he was sure that it was all his imagination.

"Mister, can I know your name?"

He pursed his lips into a thin line. He had never expected that his little curiosity of venturing into the Forbidden Ice Mountain would bring her to a scene of the little girl's being mercilessly attacked by a huge tiger.

In the past, such a scene wouldn't interest him. He would just walked by and pretended nothing happened.

But when he accidentally looked at the girl's eye that was filled with despair as she waited for the tiger to take her life, his body suddenly moved faster than his brain.

He hated his identity known. That's why he always wear masks to cover his face to prevent any future accidents.

Yet, once again, before his brain could finish processing the word, his mouth had gotten the better of him. He replied softly: "Mo Yujian."

He cursed inwardly. This must all be because he lowered his guard against the weak little girl that posed no harm. Yes, this must be.

After all, Mo Yujian was sure that they wouldn't met again for the rest of their life.

He had the secretly came from the other side of the mainland because he was curious, thus he had planned to sightsee and leave quietly without anyone noticing.

Yet, his plan was thoroughly destroyed by this little brat.

When he went back later, they would be separated by the protective array that Sheng Li had created. The beasts had no abilities to cross to the other side, and he had no plan to come back ever again.

So, it was okay to tell her my name, he thought.

This would be their first and last meeting. Considered it his parting gift.

Ouyang Xueqing muttered his name repeatedly. "Mo Yujian…Mo Yujian…Brother Mo!"

Her sudden call had jolted Mo Yujian back to his senses. "What?"

"Can I call you Brother Mo? Please…" She begged shamelessly.

He sighed. "Up to you."

Her smile bloomed like a wildflower. Even though she was filthy and messy, but that moment she was so adorable that she could melt the ice in winter.

Mo Yujian averted his gaze from that intense stare. He started to walk away.

"Brother Mo, if you came to Capital City, don't forget to come to the General's manor to find me!"

Mo Yujian waved without looking back.

"Farewell, Young Master Mo. Remember that The General's manor will always help you when needed." Ouyang Feiyang carried his granddaughter and bowed.

The corner of his mouth lifted into a faint smile.

The grandfather and granddaughter pair didn't have the slightest inkling that the man in front of them was not a beast at all.

After all, it was impossible to find a human in the Beast Mainland. Mo Yujian coincidentally had the strength to do so. But he didn't plan to reveal anything.

When they realized he was a human, would their generosity turned to animosity? Or would they treated him the same? Anyway, the beasts were not as bad as what people had said.

The white figure disappeared eventually and Ouyang Xueqing's eye was glued to him, unable to look away for even a second.
