CHAPTER 22

I PLUGGED IN SOME EARPHONES AS THE HAIRSTYLIST CURLED MY HAIR.

I was quietly seated on the chair while trying not to let anything get in the way of my peace. My anger levels were still raised preceding yesterday's argument with the manager. He failed to explain how someone got into and out of my room unnoticed when even my bodyguard couldn't get in. Did they give copy keys to other people or the master key was used by everyone??

I totally hated their services here. Initially I loved this hotel but then not anymore.

Someone broke into my room and nothing was done about it. Even if nothing was stolen, I was still taken aback and disappointed. How on earth did someone manage to get into my room when not even my bodyguard had the permit to get in?

From the look of it, it took quiet sometime to arrange everything and leave the bed as dazzling as I found it.

We went through the hotel's CCTV footage and nothing was caught on camera. How was that possible? Was it a ghost then that did it?

'You're a very famous Ms Eleanor. This could be from a super fan,' was the only explanation the manager found fit to give to me; causing me to inherently give a fire and brimstone sermon.

I threated to have them sued and damage their reputation so that no one ever books and trusts their service making them go down in business.

'Hush, Eleanor....' Lauren whispered after she saw how infuriated I was. No one could just come and go out of my hotel room. That wasn't allowed. I couldn't even get couriers sent to my room then how did they expect me to just calm down when someone sent a flower bouquet and it wasn't even my boyfriend!!!

Friday was a very terrible day and I started my weekend on a sour note.

It might have started so well with the video shooting and advertisement but then it went all terrible after the case with the manager.

I immediately asked Lauren to do arrangements to check me out the following day and to my surprise the manager didn't even try to bargain to make me stay.

Something fishy was going on. He didn't even say he would compensate the inconveniences I had suffered.

If they had a review page online, they'd certainly lose business with my review.

I checked out the next day and booked into another hotel. Tower 23. I specifically told them about the issues I had with my previous hotel and hoped they wouldn't repeat it here.

I wasn't so kind and went as far as explaining exactly what I would do if it was repeated.

"Here ma'am...the salad you requested..." a low voice whispered and I managed to hear it through the loud music pounding in my ears. I took the cucumbers off of my eyes and followed the direction of where the voice came from.

"Please wait..." I told the hairstylist and she placed the curling iron down.

I stood up and walked towards the lady that just got in.

I looked at the bowl inside the trolley and my mouth immediately started to water.

A mixture of a million fruits blended together creating just that vibrant sight, attractive to the eye. Despite me finding it appetising, it wasn't what I asked for.

I wanted a vegetable salad and they brough me a fruit salad. Seriously?

It was Sunday. Just a day after I had checked in and this was already happening. Did they not hear my warning??

"Am sorry but there's a bit of a misunderstanding....I didn't order this..." I told her and she just smiled.

I scattered my eyes and raised my eyebrow at her. I wasn't in the mood for this.

"Hello???" I asked her trying so hard not to get annoyed. Stress and beauty are enemies, I knew that for sure and I wasn't ready to have wrinkles on my face just because of a mismanaged order.

"Ma'am....someone sent this for you...." she replied. She had her hands folded on her front and her head bowed as though she was talking to a princess or something.

"Exactly who sent me this???" I asked looking down at the trolley and noticed an envelope beneath the bowl.

I opened it and found a note inside.

'I know you're on a diet but you can at least have this. You need energy to smile...'

What?? A smile crept onto my face and I immediately took out my phone from my robe's pocket. I called Lauren to ask if she had ordered it for me and she said no.

"I'll be up in a second....I have something for you...." She hang up and I sighed.

"Thank you..." I told the courier and she bowed before she left. I looked at the bowl again and gosh, it was appetising.

I took a snapshot and walked to my couch.

"Are you girls hungry? Tuck in..." I told the women doing my hair and make up, and they hungrily guzzled down the food.

While seated on the couch, I decided to go on Twitter to check on the war I was having with Natalia and to my surprise, nothing was there.

I couldn't believe it. It wasn't until yesterday that several top messages with most tweets were negative dirty comments about me. Not just reported but every social media fan page had me as the topic of discussion. It really only took a day to destroy someone's reputation. Anywho, I can be changed by what happens to me. But I refuse to be reduced by it.

I took a deep breath quietly patting against my phone while looking at the two girls that were busy wasting the salad. How much of it was in the bowl?

Standing up, I walked to the window and let the breeze gently massage my face.

I thought about it deeply. It was everywhere on my mind. How did it happen that there was no negative comment about me online?

I went back on Twitter and suddenly a whole chain of messages bashing Natalia appeared.

What was going on??

"Ma'am...would you like to finish the make over now??" One of them asked and I assumed they needed a break.

"Uh...come back in thirty minutes....I have someone coming over...." I told them and they thanked me before leaving.

Natalia walked in as they walked out and I was glad she was here.

"About time...." I raised my eyebrow at her.

"Sorry...." She sighed. "I stopped by the restaurant to take some salad for you...." She handed me the lunch box and I walked down to my couch and helped myself.

I was hungry and didn't eat anything since morning.

Fortunately, I still weighed less than 121 pounds and that was a relief.

"I have something big to tell you....she started....."

"Even better. I have two big things to tell you...."
