We were about to run towards to castle when a flare of magic was sent as a signal and all the surrounding adventurers began to fall back towards it.
Kristella who was confused by what was going on suddenly grabbed on to my sleeve and pointed towards the castle.
A darks cloud like maisima was surrounding the castle, the eerie darkness formed a barrier around the entirety of the castle.
"I think we should follow those adventurers." Kristella pulled on my sleeve as I stood in a case staring at the sight before me. Something was up with that magical energy I could feel it.
It felt like dark magic. The only reason I don't use dark magic it gives off a eerie dark feeling so even though I have it I reject using it in any situation.
I went along with Kristella mowing down vampires as we went towards the magic flare that was now fading from the sky.
Upon arrival we were greeted by a multitude of adventurers it was like every member of the guild the were gathering in a small warehouse building.
...
"We are missing six adventurers does anyone know what happened to them!"
The warehouse got silent as the guild members look amongst themselves.
We have been inside the warehouse for hours it was almost night fall and most of the adventurers have returned, a few report dead and some injured but still no sign of Jiang or Almeth.
"Okay I'll call again.
Almeth!... Steel Empress Jiang!... Kane!... Stunner!... Valair... Celina!.."
The names were recalled and I was in a panic, did something happen to Jiang and Almeth.
The thunder cracked, which was then followed by a downpour of sudden heavy rain and all the members of the guild that were present had all bundled into the warehouse and closed the doors.
Kristella was staring at me as if she was looking into my soul, I knew she could see the frightened worried look on my face.
"What are you going to do?"
"Huh?"
"It's obvious you won't stay here but are you going to storm the castle if they happen to be inside it."
"They are some of the only remaining family I have. I can't just leave them like That." She gave me a faint smile. That was also filled with fear.
"Well am coming with you, you can't stop me or say no even if you teleport leaving me I'll just out to follow you."
I was shock but I also was relieved.
"If things get dangerous and I am not going to make it I'll teleport you back here so if am going to then I want you to be alive to mourn my death."
I opened a portal below our feet and we were now standing atop a building near the castle. The sky was darkened and the rain was getting heavier by the second.
"I'll fly around the city and look if I see them if not I'll return to you here."
She didn't reply but I could tell she was feeling a little fear as she just kept staring at the castle that had been completely surrounded by black maisima.
I used wind magic flight spell and made a quick trip around the city in the rain I couldn't see so I had to use holy magic to provide light, but in the end the search gave the resulted I didn't want.
...
We were hesitant but this is a family I had to put my live on line, the kings castle looked like a grave yard the once peaceful scenery tainted by blood and corpses of vampires and humans even animals
It went smooth getting closer to the castle the dark magic casted on the castle didn't react or move to stop of, but after a couple more steps we felt an a sudden shift in the atmosphere,
"The corpses are moving" Kristella whispered as she pulled on my sleeve while getting closer to me. This girl that was not too long ago bashing holes into vampires chest and kicking there heads off if now scare of a few zombified corpses.
Without even realising we were completely surrounded, the corpses were facing us in all directions. I didn't want to waste the amount of times I could use my magic,
"Hey what's the fastest way in?" I asked as I pulled out the daggers she gave me earlier.
She pulled out two metal gauntlets and placed her hands inside, "if you can't use spacial magic we drive our way through kill whatever's in the way."
killing ever zombie in our way we got closer but the closer we got the thicker the pressure became, it was like the zombies soul purpose was to gaurd the door.
upon reacher the castle door i realised the dark maguc wasnt to block us out rrather it was to zombify the dead bodies and drae them towards the castle to act as defense.
We entered through the front door, after a bloody charge we closed the door behind us Kristella fell on her butt panting and I held my knees, we could hear the zombies clawing away at the giant metal entrance to the castle but we were safe for some the couldn't enter.
After spending five minutes of resting we were back on our feet still dripping wet from the rain but that's wasn't something a little fire magic couldn't fix plus if I didn't the thin red top Kristella was wearing would distract me during a fight the blouse was clingy in all the right placed due to the rain but just at the wrong time.
The castpe was extremely dark and cold and the air was frosty which made the previous option of staying in our wet clothes even worst. The dark made it impossible to see beyond the reach of our finger tips on our extended arms impossible, but having kritella by my side made seeing her no problem.
She pulled out a torch from thin air but knowing her systems I wasn't shocked by That, the instant the torch lit up I almost puked and she dropped her torch.
The torch on the floor still provided light to the horrid scenery we were faced with, the castle passage walls were painted red with blood and the floor was littered with corpse of human children and women the play e was filled with worms and rats and it was then that the scent hit it was stink beyond measure my chest tightened and my stomach weeped just seeing the corpses of babies, adult women, teens five year olds and even the elderly.
"I can't forgive the fiend that did this" Kristella spoke I could feel her rage and I had some of my own to give. the rooms were either filled with blood and corpses, the person who did this could never be forgiven.
We knew he was close as the pressure became heavy and the aura in the castle began to take shape in a thick cloud of miasma only a little thinner than the one outside the castle.
As any other vampire filled with pride would they made their nest in the throne room, the maisima seemed to be oozing from the giant door that led to the throne room.
The door was already slightly opened and sounds of fighting could be heard. We ran towards the door and prepared for a fight as we entered.
