The Return of Samsara's Strongest Warriors

Number 1, Lycan.

Number 2, Call it-Just-Melati.

Number 3, Daus.

Number 5, Latif.

Number 9, Hanruo.

Number 10, Owen.

Number 13, Bunny.

"Oh, there's Lucie too. My best warrior, the number 6." Lady welcomes the presence of the remaining 8 out of the 14 strongest warriors of Samsara in her private room somewhere in the port city of Bargescrow.

Lucie bowed with his plain white mask still on his face. It's actually not an impolite act and Lady respect his privacy. All of Samsara's strongest warriors already knew the weird habit of this mysterious man. Other than private meeting with Lady, Lucie would never take off his mask. That also the reason, why even one day if they passed each other in the road, nobody wouldn't recognize it was Lucie.

"You're the last one to come, honey." Lady extended the back of her right palm towards Lucie and the man immediately steps forward in silence.

Lucie knelt down while his hand reached out elegantly to welcome Lady's hand. He kissed once before pressing Lady's palm to his forehead. This is how Samsara shows their honor to Lady.

Lady's face lit up with happiness. She supported her face with left hand while her right hand moved to caress Lucie's head whose was still in kneeling position. "I miss you so much, Lucie. Where have you been all this time? Why didn't you come and find me?"

"We ran into him by chance in the Alice Nebula. Apparently the person with the nullified prowess that Subject 4-42-1 searching for in Yi Lu was Lucie." Lycan took the initiative to answer. He is the same person that hold Owen earlier in harbor.

"We would have almost killed each other if Lycan not intercepted." Bunny chimed in.

The smile on Lady's face grew wider and wider. "It turns out you've been doing your job all this time, honey." Lady looked very proud of Lucie.

"Lady's orders should be carried out in earnest." Lucie said obediently.

"Good boy," said Lady in satisfied. "I've given each of my beloved soldiers a secret mission. You're the only one left, Lucie. Even though we just met, I'm a little unwilling to immediately give you another mission."

"I'm well aware, Lady." Lucie's speech sounded monotonous and boring.

"From now on, I revoked all my orders to you. Now, go with Bunny and destroy Alice Nebula. Kill everyone, include their families and kids. Leave no one behind!" The cruel order slipped indifferently from Lady's lips.

"As you wish." Lucie bowed obediently without much questions or comments.

"Also, you guys can dismiss. I look forward to your good news." Lady ends the secret meeting.

Seven strongest warriors dispersed including Lucie, leaving Lycan whose was still standing on the spot. The door was closed tightly and the tension on each warrior was relieved in a split second.

"I'm never getting used to this kind of meeting," snapped Owen, who was the tensest between them.

"We are very rarely gathered like this," added the number 3, Daus.

"Does it mean that our members are complete? Only 8 out of 14?" Latif, the number 5 questioning.

"Guess so." Soldier number 2 who had the strangest name answered. They called her Melati, and she is the only woman who managed to reach the top 3 of Samsara's strongest warriors.

"But I'm still very curious about your real face, Number 6. We've known each other for quite a long time. At least let us see your face, wouldn't you?" Owen asked, and the others wait silently full of hope.

Lucie didn't answer. He let out a snort and quickened his pace.

"Bunny, you've seen his face, haven't you? What is he like? What is he hiding behind that mask?" Owen hadn't given up. He put his arm around Bunny's shoulders and began to interrogate the pink rabbit costume.

Bunny placed his rabbit hand under his chin, posing like a man in deep thought. "If I could say… his face is a bit like the lunatic on the harbor bridge earlier."

Owen laughed like a madman. "Are you crazy comparing our Lucie to a lunatic?"

"Lady..." Lycan started spoke after making sure the door behind him was tightly closed and no one left behind.

"I know your worries, Lycan. Lucie's attitude when Bunny attacking. Then the way he treats the only daughter of the Endley family…" Lady's voice sounded a little tired.

"Our failure had proven it all, Lycan. Now, the Dragons conquered Samsara, but who knows in the future they will attack our ocean?" said Lady in deep thought.

"Apart from Bunny and Lucie, the rest of Samsara's strongest warriors along with the forces of the Arinas will be marching towards Raffendel and Tanah Agra. I want to eliminate every threat that might get in the way of our Lord Horizon's ultimate plans," Lady spoke again.

The woman then straightened her seat. "Lycan, I ask you personally to finish up Subject 4-42-1. Kill Alvi Veenessa Endley at all cost."

"You mean—?" Lycan not really understood. Hadn't Samsara and Lady been trying to recapture Alvi Veenessa Endley this whole time?

"Her power is getting bigger and bigger. One day, the Deadly Black Flames will become our biggest threat. Arinas couldn't let her live any longer," said Lady after a long consideration.

"All right, Lady." Lycan bowed in understanding.

"And, one more thing. Regarding Lucie…" Lady brought back a topic that had been postponed.

"Don't forget that he's also one of the Dragons, Lycan. Although there is no real evidence because nothing such as tribal tattoo symbols within him like most the Dragons, but Lucie indeed is a descendant of the Dragons. Be careful. He's very smart, way more genius than me." Lady expresses her unease.

"Either he really is a traitor to the Dragons, or is just pretending to spy on us. But I want you to take care that matter for me too." This was Lady's second order to Lycan.

This time Lycan hesitated a little.

"What makes you doubt?" she asked.

"Lucie is a very careful person. His number 6 position can be maintained steadily for 10 years in Samsara. While other position at least has experienced changes. Don't you find this strange? He looks like he is hiding his true strength." Lycan expressed his worried.

"That's why I consider Lucie as a genius. Far more than any of us in here." Lady already knows that issues. But she never really took any action since Lucie never gave a slight inadvertence even until Samsara being destroyed.

"At first I thought I could control him. Make him be mine alone. But in fact, Lucie didn't belong to anyone. He belongs to his own. He fights for his own," said Lady.

"People like him are the most dangerous. He cannot be predicted nor controlled. The last resort is to kill him before things get messy." This was the first time Lycan had seen Lady feel threatened by someone's presence.

"I understand, Lady." Lycan bowed deeply before taking a step back then walking out.
