True-Warrior Contest (2)

Alvi exhaled tiredly after fighting for only a few minutes. Normally she wasn't this easily tired even in a long battle period. But thanks to the poisonous that Owen gassed off, her stamina was drained quickly. Of course, she wasn't the only one who was affected. The Dragons that trapped in this battle field also experienced the same thing.

"Say your last prayer, Subject 4-42-1." Lycan muttered from his hidden position in the middle of the chaotic battle.

A sharp tiny hidden weapon shot directly towards Alvi's blind spot. But before she realized it, someone had bounced off the tiny knife-look weapon with a skillful move. Alvi turned around and found out her savior actually was that strange man which appeared beside her this afternoon.

"You—" Lycan didn't expect anyone to be able to read such a paper-thin knife attack.

"5 years. I have tracked you and the rest of Samsara's strongest warriors. I'm so grateful that you didn't kill me right away when we met in the port city of Bargescrow." The lunatic that Lycan saw so often showed his sanity back, or rather said he was never crazy in the beginning.

"Raka Gilbert," growled Lycan regretting his stupid decision.

Raka tossed his long messy black hair to the back before tying it into a ponytail. The face that the Dragons and Alvi knew very well was clearly visible now.

"Raka..." Alvi muttered barely believing her own eyes.

Raka turned his sacred-weapon into a twin-sword and the presence of that weapon further strengthened his real identity. He was Raka Gilbert Vaiskyler. The second son of Arken, and also the hero behind the destruction of Samsara.

Raka put his right sword on the shoulder, while the left sword was crossed in front of his chest. After that, he leapt without second though at Lycan that stand far above the audience seat. The gleam of the two clashing weapons was immediately seen at the top seat. Raka seemed to dominate, but Lycan himself didn't look like he was going to lose.

A big claymore with the size of Lycan's swung with all its might towards Raka. If choose to parry, then Raka's strength obviously will not be enough to withstand Lycan's immense stamina. Other way, Raka took a light step back and the tip of the Lycan big claymore passed horizontally right in front of his face.

Lycan's weapon hit to the wall on the right, and Raka immediately dashed forward. But the distance between them was a little too far and Raka's twin-sword weren't long enough to reach his opponent.

Despite knowing that fact, Lycan still took the initiative to back away. The blade of his big claymore crossed against the wall and created a fairly long and deep transverse line.

Raka certainly wouldn't let his opponent back down so easily. He threw one of his swords and Lycan reflexively tilted his head evasively.

"Too bad," Lycan mocking Raka's pointless attack.

But one thing that Lycan did not expect was that Raka's figure was no longer in front of him. Then where did he go? Lycan searched half frantically. And… TRANG!!! The sound of clashing from behind alerted that big man.

"Don't be careless, Lycan. Your opponent is the one whose destroyed Samsara." Melati the Number 2 reminded while blocking Raka's attack.

"I may not remember his face. But that twin-sword will never be forgotten. It was the sword that injured Lady," growled Melati in anger.

Raka Gilbert Vaiskyler looked alternately at those two strongest warriors of Samsara. His grips were tighten as if he was battling with his own anger too.

"Number 5, Latif and number 9, Hanruo has already cleaned up the outside. They'll be joining us soon." Melati spoke.

"Fine. I'll take care of him, and leave Subject 4-42-1 in your care. Lady's order is to kill her." Lycan was forced to leave hist secret task to Melati.

Melati nodded in agreement. Afterwards, she jumped down to the middle seat and her fingers flicked as if in controlling something. An invisible attack was moving in a random pattern towards Alvi who was now getting busy by the Arinas.

This time, Alvi did not let her guard down. Her hands moved nimbly to welcome the very thin threads that were connected to Melati's fingers. The Deadly Black Flames burned fiercely and spread rapidly towards Melati.

Melati plucked her threads calmly. The resulting vibrations obliterated the Black Flames at once and without much effort. Her second plucked makes the thread double, and on the three attempts, the threads have completely surrounded Alvi.

Alvi could see these thin threads intertwining around her and she tried to muster a greater Deadly Black Flames. But those flames which should be able to burn down anything became useless against Melati's.

Actually Alvi also experienced a similar situation when fighting Bunny in Alice Nebula some times ago. Did Samsara manage to find a way to subdue the rage of Deadly Black Flames? While Alvi found tiny chance to escape, Melati did the fourth and final strum.

"Alvi!" Freya and Arken jumped out together and acted as Alvi's shield.

A little late, but Arken's frozen fire at least managed to stop Melati's threads. But unfortunately both Freya and Arken must received quite deep cuts when breaking through the tangle of threads.

"Are you all right?" Freya was more worried about Alvi than herself.

"Auntie, uncle… I…." Alvi didn't know what to say. Up until now, she had never seen his uncle and aunt covered in much blood like this.

"It does not matter. We're here for you." Freya hugged Alvi trying to calm the poor child.

"Sir." Henry Aditya Kane gasped for air as he finally reached Arken. Judging from his condition, other family heads had also reached their limit.

"Are we completely unable to break through?" Arken asked.

"With our current conditions, I guess… impossible." Henry regretted in hopeless.

Meanwhile, Raka himself began to be pressured by Lycan. His feet landed perfectly not far from Alvi and his parents. He himself had also almost reached his limit.

"I'll pave the way," he said as if he knew the conversation just now.

"Raka..." Arken and Freya called out to their son.

"Mom, Dad, I…I'm so sorry…." Raka said briefly without daring to look at the faces of his parents. That one sentence made those who heard it realize that Raka Gilbert Vaiskyler never went insane. He always there to protect. To defend Tanah Agra.

"I'll explain after this matters." He continued. But of course Lycan and Melati didn't let Raka do what he wanted. The two of them simultaneously attacked Raka and a two-on-one battle ensued. The longer they hold Raka in here, the more they will benefit.

Raka is well aware of this situation. He couldn't keep fighting while finding of ways to conserve his stamina. After dodging several times, Raka finally decided to go forward with his full strength.

His technique and fighting style changed completely. The twin-sword are joined at the base of the hilt and form a new weapon in the shape of a double-edged spear. The spear rotated, handled so skillfully that it bounced Lycan's claymore with ease.

When Lycan lost his balance on slight moment, Raka took advantage to break through to Lycan's rear defense. Raka's original target is Number 2. It's actually not that hard to deal with Melati. As long as he can read the movement of her fingers. The direction of the threads can be easily predicted. Just need to be careful and don't get tangled.

It's the same with the deaths of Owen and Daus. When Raka cleaved the chest of Melati, something disgusting that looked like a small diameter tentacle burst out and grabbed wrapped around Raka's hands and waist.

Raka spontaneously separated the double-edged spear into twin-sword. With one hand which is still free, he cut the tentacle and leapt deep into the center of the arena.

The tentacles responded quickly to chase after Raka. Also on the same time, the blood that came out of Melati's body flowed down into the side of the arena. From beneath the pool of blood, the same tentacles spread out like tendrils.

But that thing didn't seem like a big threat in front of the Dragon King. Arken snapped his fingers and bluish-white flames instantly spread to freeze Melati's tentacles as well as her main body.

Just when the Dragons thought that the only remaining opponent was Lycan, the wall of the colosseum was hit so hard until it burst into a big hole. A large stocky figure plunged his giant hammer into the ground. "Lycan, are you still alive?" Hanruo, the strongest warrior of Samsara number 9 greeted with a sarcastic tone.

Another figure appeared beside Hanruo. He had a small skinny body with the uttermost cunning face. Latief, the number 5 gave a condescending smile while gently sweeping the entire battle field with his narrow eyes.

"Never thought that Number 2 and 3 could lose at a place like this." Latief regretted but did not look sad in the slightest.

"You guys have come at the right time. Has everything been sorted out outside?" Lycan was a little relieved to see his two comrades arrived on time.

Hanruo and Latif both entered the arena. "Almost complete. But Number 4 is still taken care of Lucie," Hanruo replied.

"Lucie? Is he here?" A completely unexpected name shocked Lycan the most. Wasn't Lucie with Bunny in the Alice Nebula? Why did he appear in Tanah Agra?

"Yeah, Lucie said that number 4 is the target that he was chasing from Alice Nebula. Who was his name again?" Hanruo turned to ask Latif for help.

"Kane. Julius Aditya Kane to be exact." Latif has a sharper memory.

Whether intentional or not, the conversation seemed to have succeeded in creating tension among the Dragons. Henry Aditya Kane and Arken looked at each other. They were the most shocked and at the same time the most refusing to believe those words.

The sound of another step was heard entering the arena. The steps so heavy as if were dragging something behind. In that moment, what the Dragons and Alvi saw could never been forgotten.

Julius Aditya Kane was dragged in with a position facing the ground. The back of his shirt was gripped tightly by a person in a plain white mask with only one eye hole on the left.

Poor Julius was brought into the middle of the arena and thrown away near the Dragons. His body was covered in blood and completely helpless to accept the harsh treatment. He couldn't even make a sound even though he was in so much pain.

Henry Aditya Kane hastily checked his son's condition. Some of his ribs were broken. Internal bleeding, but thankfully Julius is still breathing… He's still alive.

But on the other hand, Lucie stepped forward at a calm pace while ignoring the anger vengeful gazes towards him. His hands gripped Silva very tightly, while his gaze was fixed on Lycan.

"So my suspicion is correct. You betrayed Samsara, Lucie." Lycan stated.
