I actually almost forgot to introduce Lily, the little cute snow leopard.
This story I rewind a bit to the ninth Moon in XX81, a year before Samsara collapsed and seven years after I became Alvi's guard.
I found this snow-white cat-like creature with black spots in the southern forest. At that time Lily was only a few months old and left alone in the forest. Either because she was separated from her mother or because her mother had died.
At that time I took care of her for about three days before bringing her home. Alvi looks very happy because right now she has a friend besides me. To be precise, Alvi never thought of me as a friend even though we were only 3 years apart in age. She always looks at me with admiration and respect like a mentor.
Lily spent her time with Alvi for about ten months before I decided to ask someone outside of Samsara to take care of her. The reason is simple; because the war is about to start and I don't want Lily involved.
That time, I managed to trick Alvi by saying that Lily was sick and being cared for by a vet as well as my friend outside Samsara.
Then, a month later the thing I had anticipated finally happened.
The Dragons led by Raka Gilbert Vaiskyler attacked Samsara. I still remember the battle situation that day. The smoke and the sound of clashing weapons grew louder and clearer. Samsara's underground floor was broken through with ease.
As Samsara soldier, guard and warrior, we were all asked to remain in our respective posts. Without the strongest warriors number 1, 2, 3, 5, 9, 10 and 13 in Samsara, this place is just a building without a solid protective wall. I've calculated their mission schedule and determined the days when Samsara is almost empty. Lady herself was also not here because she attended a meeting under the sea with Arinas.
I myself put on my mask and stood waiting at the exit where Alvi and his savior were likely to get out.
My guess is correct…
Raka Gilbert moves alone to save Alvi. He was so surprised when he saw me, the number 6 was blocking the exit.
The anger and hatred was clearly visible on Raka's face and without saying anything he immediately charged towards me. A fight ensued between me and Raka. Alvi couldn't stop us.
I easily surpassed Raka even though he used a sacred-weapon in the form of a twin sword with a silver-black color combination. One of Raka's swords bounced near Alvi and Alvi picked it up in fear.
We both saw the weapon and I intended to snatch it from Alvi's hands. Raka thought I was going to harm Alvi and he dashed quickly trying to stop me by grabbing my right shoulder.
I grabbed Raka's hand with my left and we fought again. This time empty-handed and I still have the dominance. We pushed each other and for some reason my mind was suddenly out of focus. I took a step back before something felt like it pierced my chest from behind.
My movement stops completely. Raka took this opportunity to remove my plain white mask and I exposed my identity. When I looked down at my chest, a silver-black sword had pierced near my heart. Blood dripped one after another from the tip of the blade. I turned back and found the hilt of the sword tightly gripped by Alvi.
I widened my eyes in disbelief. Alvi was just as surprised as I was. Her hands seemed to tremble in fear as she let go of the hilt of the sword. "Sorry… I'm sorry…." Her voice was barely audible.
My strength slowly dissipated but I forced myself to turn and look at Alvi face-to-face. "See, I'm not lying, am I? You're finally free." I would love to say so. But the words seemed to be stuck in my throat. I just raised my right hand to lightly touch Alvi's cheek.
A relieved smile spread across my face before my body collapse.
After that I don't know what happened. The last thing I saw was Raka pulling Alvi away and my vision went dark.
In XX82, with aggression led by Raka Gilbert Vaiskyler and internal information leaked by Julius Aditya Kane, the attach on Samsara was considered as a great success. Samsara was falling down that day.
As for me, how can I live? The answer is because the death don't accept me either.
