Atlan (4)

The monster that had been lurking beneath the Atlan finally shown up. The body is long, slender and flexible, smooth-skinned, and finned. Really resembled of the giant eel-snake figure. But what makes it different from the creeping creatures on land are the fins along the back and the pectoral fins that stretch wide to control the direction.

The rage along with high-voltage electric power came out from its entire body which swims freely on the top of Atlan. It shows his domination before massively attack Rihan Daniel.

Rihan kept jumping backward to avoid the electric shock that always targeted the ground where his feet were landing. "Horizon, that creature… don't tell me you created that thing to rival the dragon form?" Rihan guessed.

Marc Horizon who was standing on the eel-snake's head clapped his hands complied. "I spent years creating it. The appearance can be said to be a failed product, but don't underestimate its power, or you'll regret it soon."

"You hate the Dragons. But why you try to imitate them?" Rihan continued to ask.

"Young man, there are many things in this world that you still do not understand. In order to defeat the strongest, you must first acquire the equal power as them. Then secondly, you need to control the other thing which they fear the most," explained Marc Horizon.

"Such as Death Black Flame?" Guess Rei.

"I like smart kids like you," said Marc giving another appraisal. "Why do you think Ares Kennrich Vaiskyler married a human woman?" He asked trying to provoke Rihan's curiosity.

Rihan frowned waiting for further explanation.

"That's because the Dragons are afraid that the Ifrits will get rid of them one day. They were afraid of the power of Deadly Black Flame that could surpass their breath and flames. That's why the only son of the Vaiskyler family married Freya Natalia Grey whose is as well as Rei Nathanael's nephew." Marc expressed his thoughts full of optimistic.

"You must have heard the story about the two sons from Arken and his human wife. The Vaiskyler's descendants but end up tragically. The eldest was neglected since he was a child while the youngest was turned out to be a lunatic. From those two facts it's clear that Arken, the current Dragon King, your Lord, never cared about his children from human marriages. There were other benefits which he already achieved." Mark laughed scornfully.

This time Rihan stand still and no longer dodge the incoming attack. Soon, the blackish red electric rushed towards him and in instant, Rihan firmly swung the pitch-black sword in his hand and nullified all of the electric.

Rihan lunged and jumped high approaches the eel-snake creature's head. The black sword crossed to his left shoulder and when the distance was close enough, he swung the weapon. As expected, the smily skin of the eel-snake was thick enough to handle such damage. But Rihan wasn't done yet. He quickly swayed his body upwards and his feet landed perfectly on the creature back. Finally, he was in the same straight line as Marc Horizon.

"Horizon, I don't know how you thought and ended up to such a stupid conclusion. But I hope you also know this one fact. If you want to conquer an unbeatable pet, then you just need to subdue its owner." Rihan prepares to attack.

Marc realized his life was in danger. His face conveyed a hint of panic. But that reaction was camouflaged by the electric sparks that started to focus around the eel-snake's back.

Rihan put the pitch-black sword diagonally down with a slightly backwards position. His eyes moved swiftly following the direction of the electric strike. He lowered his body and in a blink of eyes his figure had disappeared from Marc Horizon's sight.

Rihan Daniel reappeared right behind Marc. His sword swung skillfully slashing at that old man's head. Everything was going too smooth. Marc Horizon's head separated from his body and rolled onto the churchyard. At that moment the eel-snake roared and writhed wildly as its suddenly lost a control.

The giant eel-snake figure began to move in and out of its long body. He tried to attack Rihan who was still holding on to his back. Of course Rihan Daniel is not that stupid to stay in one place. The man began to jump to other body parts and the eel's head automatically followed without much consideration.

From a distance view, the eel-snake monster looked like it was trying to tie itself up.

After feeling himself failed to get Rihan, the eel-snake changed the tactics. It began to dive upwards before speeding towards the Blue Labyrinth.

Rihan powerfully stabbed the sword into the eel-sanke's back so he wouldn't fall with such high-speed.

If it was just a single stabbed of a single sword, then the eel-snake creature wouldn't be in so much pain. However, because it was moving at a high speed, the sword slash was pushed backward leaving a quite long cutlet.

The eel-snake screamed pitiful and painful. It squirmed even more as he tried to bite Rihan, removing the man from his back. The blackish red electric began to strike to random directions. But such an attack was completely powerless against Rihan's nullified.

Even though he is immune to the eel-snake's electric attack, Rihan still needs to change his position to avoid the rows of sharp teeth that are wide open towards him. Every time he moved; the sword will stab deeper to the eel-snake's body. More and more blood flowed out of the giant creature. The screams and rage were getting more intense, and strangely the creature still used the same method to get rid of Rihan. It's like being programmed to only able to do such action.

Rihan realized that he could not keep on fighting like this since his stamina will worn out. He started running while pulling the black sword which was still stuck in the eel's back. Blood flooded out from the incision along with blackish red electric sparks.

Electric traveled from the tip of the blade, to the body of the sword, but it never reached the hilt of the sword. With this accumulated electrical energy building up on the blade, Rihan suddenly stopped running and turned around deftly.

The eel-snake's mouth opened right in front of his face and Rihan quickly swung his sword upwards. In the next second, a warm red liquid splashing across his mask and the shirt. While the entire blade seemed to stab completely to the eel's head.

The giant monster went limp for the next moment and fell to the ground. The electric energy that was being prepared to attack Rihan exploded and destroying the walls of the Blue Labyrinth around it. The damage was not just like that. The blackish red electric seemed to spread to every corner of the Blue Labyrinth. It attacks every living being it encounters. Including Lady and Lycan. Luckily Alvi, Raka and the others were still in the protection of the nullified bracelet so the stray electric couldn't touch them.

Even though the sword had pierced through the head and followed by falling from a height with whole body was full of cuts, but the eel-snake creature didn't seem to die right away. The creature was still breathing though at a very slow pulse. It tried to inhale as much oxygen as possible, which was gradually becoming harder and harder to obtain.

Not long after that, something seemed to crawl out of the death giant eel-snake's mouth. A man was struggling to drag his body out of it. His elbow accidentally nudged the hilt of the black sword which was still stuck at the mouth. Unexpectedly, the pitch-black sword's form turned into a thick black smoke. That mysterious smoke moved freely on the air before get into the long cut scar on the mysterious man's arm.

The man coughed twice before dragging his body again until he was halfway outside. After that he passed out from exhaustion.

A sudden laugh was heard as water began to gather not far from the eel-snake giant figure. As Rihan suspected, Marc Horizon couldn't have died that easily. The ruler of Atlan seemed to have a sly smile with his hands positioned behind his back. He looked so wicked.

"Young man, do you know who you just killed? He is Rei Nathanael. Husband of Luna Endley as well as father of Alvi Veenessa Endley and Arin Valka Endley." Marc Horizon's laughter grew even more with satisfaction.

"Rei!" Luna Endley's voice cut off Marc Horizon's laughter.

Apparently Raka, Alvi and the others are fighting not too far from where the giant sea monster fell. They were forced to chase Luna Endley who ran towards this way at first place. That woman had a bad feeling about the exploding blackish red electric previous.

Luna's guess was right. She rushed to the man whose crawled out of the eel-snake's mouth. "Rei!" She called while supporting that unconscious man's head in worried.

Alvi and Ririn followed their mom and stood silently right behind Luna. Each of them has a look that is difficult to interpret.

Rihan—still with a mask on his face—appeared from behind the eel's helpless body. His appearance was disheveled and covered in blood. He took two steps forward and on reflex Alvi and Ririn took a half step back. They exchanged glances for a few seconds before Rihan turned to Marc.

Until this moment, no one realizes that the mask-man is Rihan Daniel. But when the man's hand opened, the chain bracelet that should be Rihan's sacred-weapon responded. Alvi and the Dragons immediately recognized him. But this is the first time they see the scary side of a Rihan Daniel.

The sacred-weapon had left Luna wrist and was moving swiftly encircling Rihan like a living chain protecting its master. The pointed triangle tip of the chain, directed at Marc Horizon.

"Do you think this lame plan can kill me?" Rihan asked with a cold intonation.

Alvi had never heard Rihan use such a stiff and cold way of speaking.

"You and your monster won't be able to reach my toes, Marc Horizon," Rihan said with overconfidence.

"Oh really? How about you fight the entire army of the Arinas?" Marc has yet to show defeat.
