Do Yun looked at her hand holding on to his own hand, "It's just a 2-week salary advance, not 2 years," and he returned his gaze to meet hers.
Amor then let go of his hand, "Thank you, Mr. Kim," and she went inside their unit after him.
"Good..... good morning Mrs. Kim," Amor stuttered but Ae Cha only gave her a glance and continued eating. She saw Mila sitting on the sofa thus she sat beside her. After the Kim's have finished their breakfast, Mila took notice of her outfit "It seems Mr. Kim dotes on you."
"Oh..... not really, he said I represent him when I meet with his clients maybe he didn't like my fashion sense back then," joked Amor.
Mila suddenly stood up but before Amor could give her greeting Ae Cha approached her. Wearing a simple hoodie with a plaid blazer and a pair of black jeans layered as an accessory- a designer bag, Amor can never equal her cuteness no matter what she wears. Ae Cha towered over her at 175cm in height and with just 1-meter distance from each other, Amor dared not to look into her eyes. With her head bowed down she is waiting for Ae Cha to say something but Do Yun called her out, "Ae Cha....." Although it was not her name he called out Amor looked in his direction and instead of responding to Do Yun Ae Cha headed out to the door thus Mila hurriedly followed. Seeing how Do Yun looked at Ae Cha walking away she feels she is in the wrong place, "Is this a domestic issue?" she asked herself. Do Yun came out from their room wearing a neat chino with a shirt, a blazer, and a pair of leather shoes. and headed out to the door thus she hurriedly followed.
On their way to the office Do Yun asked Jack to stop by a money transfer service for Amor, "Uhm..... I'll make it fast Mr. Kim," and Amor quickly ended the transaction.
As soon as they arrived in the office, Do Yun went straight to his desk closing the door behind him. Amor checked her email and it seemed that he already listed the things she needed to do for the day:
It's finally time for the most exciting part: Getting people to sign up for our event and conference!
Our best choice is to make a professional website for the event and conference. At the very minimum, that should include:
An appropriate domain
Must-know details about the event and conference
Browsable conference calendar
Registration form where people can sign up
We'll be adding our conference website to all marketing and info material going forward.
Good thing she only needs to coordinate with the marketing team and make sure to send Do Yun an update after lunch.
It's already lunchtime and she still did not receive any response from the marketing team about the report she needs to send, "I'll have my lunch after I send the update," she thought. Do Yun came out from the room and headed out from the office, "At least he'll have lunch this time," she told herself.
The marketing team finally submitted their report, thus Amor was able to finish her update:
We now have our venue, key speakers, a clear conference program, and a website to guide people to. From now on, our main focus is promoting the conference via all available channels.
Since our conference is free to attend, we'll want to settle at the right price.
Online, we have numerous ways to promote our conference on a relatively small budget:
Social media sites
Relevant forums where potential attendees might hang out
Own blogs and press releases
If our promotion relies heavily on social media, consider a catchy hashtag we can use whenever we post about the upcoming event and conference.
We also encourage our speakers to promote the conference to their audience on their own channels. They have a vested interest in doing so and can expose the conference to people who are more likely to be interested.
Invite journalists within our chosen niche to cover---and maybe even attend---the event and conference. When reaching out to the media, it's best to keep our pitch simple and short, focusing mainly on the 5Ws.
She then sent a message telling him she is now out for lunch but when she arrived in the pantry there's no food left except for some afternoon snacks, "This will do," she thought.
When she got back into the office, the sliding door is still closed. Standing outside the door, she leaned her right ear to check if he has arrived but could not hear anything. "Is he still out?" she asked herself. Pressing her lips, she was about to knock on the door but her phone beeped and when she checked there is an email from Do Yun:
This time you get down to the nitty-gritty details to address how attendees will physically navigate the venue on the day. The best way to go about this is to walk through the day's agenda and put yourself in your attendees' shoes. Try to imagine how they will act on the day and what needs they might have. As I already mentioned, it's best to gain early access to the venue so you can examine the space and prepare a detailed plan in advance. If you have external caterers or other vendors, plan a walkthrough so they also familiarise themselves with the layout, the location of the kitchen, and so on. By checking things out in person you're far better prepared to address any issues that might arise on the day of the conference.
"I guess I need to go to the venue then," she told herself. Amor then contacted the point person for the planning team to accompany her to the conference venue. She took note of the landmarks around the venue, took photos and videos in and outside the venue, and added them to the update she will send later to Do Yun:
The big day is almost here!
Provided that we've followed all plans and have a team of volunteers in charge of on-the-day activities, there shouldn't be much for you to worry about.
Here are a few situations that might require your attention:
Calling up backup speakers in case of any last-minute cancellations
Personally introducing the conference and the main speakers
Making sure presentations don't run past the allotted time
Participating in networking and facilitating conversations
Gathering in-person attendee feedback as the conference unfolds
Communicating with journalists and others reporting on the conference
That day, you reap the fruits of your hard work and get to enjoy the inspiring conference.
As soon as she sent the update, her phone battery drained and will no longer power up; "Ah..... at least I was able to send it," she thought. It's already midnight and the planning team has left but just as she was about to leave there was a sudden power outage, "Oh.....," she told herself. She tried to recall in her mind the way out and stayed close to the walls using her hand as her only guide, "Is it safe for me to ask for help?" she thought. Now that her eyes have adjusted to seeing in the low lighting conditions, she thinks someone is walking toward her "Uhm..... who..... who is it?" she called out. No answer came but the person is still walking toward her, "Please don't be a ghost," she told herself. Fear has slowly gripped her legs and refused to take another step, "Should I wait or should I run?" she thought. The person seems to have a torch and flashed a light on her face thus causing her to cover her eyes but the person grabbed her hand.
"Ma!" Amor shrieked in terror.
"Do you want your mother to fetch you here?" said the person with the torch who turned out to be Do Yun.
"Ah..... Mr. Kim?!" Amor shrieked this time in excitement.
"Hurry," and Do Yun led the way to the exit holding her hand.
"Can I touch him?" she asked herself because she can't believe that he is real.
