Do Yun studied Amor's wide-eyed gaze toward him, "Geunyeoege museun munjega issna? (What's wrong with her?)" he asked himself. He didn't realize he has tightened his grip on her shoulders, "Mr. Kim I can't breathe" Amor thought to herself.
Do Yun let go of her shoulders and sighed in frustration, "Naega dangsingwa mueos-eul hal geongayo? (What am I going to do with you?)"
"Uhm..... Mr. Kim if I lack something please tell me what to do and I'll try my best to learn how to be better."
"I can't put you in my pocket can I?"
"Huh?"
Do Yun closed his eyes in frustration, "Never mind; let's call it a day." he then headed out to the exit door thus she hurriedly followed.
Driiiiin. Driiiiin. Driiiiin.
Amor was already awakened even before the sound of the old alarm clock, "I need to submit the report as soon as we arrive in the office," she told herself. Mila's bed has been made up so it means she is awake already. "How was yesterday's event?" Chloe asked while tidying up her bed.
"Ah..... it was better than I expected I guess."
"Good, I don't think the company holds events like that all the time so don't fret."
"Oh..... that's good to hear then."
She chose to wear a pair of jeans and a nice top with killer heels which Do Yun preferred when they bought the clothes. "I hope I will make amends with him in this outfit," she thought.
Standing outside unit 615, she straightened her top pressed her lips, and lightly knocked thrice then David opened the door, "Yes ma'am, can I have your autograph?"
"Cut the crap David," Amor got embarrassed again.
"Wow, you really look like a model today Amor. Come in," teased David.
"Good..... good morning Mr. and Mrs. Kim," Amor stuttered but Ae Cha only gave her a glance and stood up to enter their room. She saw Mila sitting on the sofa thus she sat beside her. After the Kim's have finished their breakfast, Mila took notice of her outfit "What brand are you modeling now?"
"Uhm..... all these clothes are picked by Mr. Kim so I really have no say in any of these."
Mila suddenly stood up but before Amor could give her greeting Ae Cha sat beside them. Wearing a pair of black trousers, a black cardigan over a polka dot top, black flats with her large tote, Amor can never equal her cuteness no matter what she wears. Amor and Mila want to look at each other but dared not move in case they offend Ae Cha. Before Ae Cha can say something Do Yun came out from their room and headed out to the door thus Amor hurriedly followed, "Ah..... I'll take my leave now Mrs. Kim." Seeing how Ae Cha looked at Do Yun walking away she feels she is in the wrong place, "Has the temperature gone down to negative?" she asked herself. Looking at Do Yun wearing a navy suit makes him a perfect sight anywhere and in any season.
As soon as they arrived in the office, Do Yun went straight to his desk closing the door behind him. Amor checked her email and sent the report that Do Yun asked her to submit immediately:
You should follow up with all the people involved: your team, speakers, volunteers, vendors, and---of course---the attendees. You want to follow up for two main reasons:
Say "Thank you": You should thank everyone for their participation and efforts. Not only is this a common courtesy but you'll also get to leave a positive impression. There's a good chance this isn't your last event, so you want to nurture any connections you've made.
Collect feedback: This is the perfect opportunity to hear what people thought of the event and what could be done better in the future.
Before Amor became a personal secretary she never wondered what CEOs actually do all day, but now that she became one she is still unsure what her CEO boss does all day every day. After working with Do Yun for a week it reveals on average, he worked 9.7 hours per weekday, which totals just 48.5 hours per workweek. She then found that indeed, time is the scarcest resource for Do Yun. When she was hired seventy-five percent of his time was already scheduled in advance, while 25 percent was spontaneous. She still could not see the big picture, but it seems Do Yun has struck a balance between work and personal time: 31 percent of his time was spent working, 10 percent commuting, 25 percent was a personal time (awake, but not working, including family and downtime), 29 percent was spent sleeping (on average, he clocked 6.9 hours a night) and 5 percent was spent on vacation. "But what does he actually do with his day?" she thought. Upon studying his schedule she found that his work is diverse: 25 percent of his work is spent on people and relationships, 25 percent on functional and business unit reviews, 16 percent on organization and culture, and 21 percent on strategy. Not to mention the not-so-efficient meetings. Meetings make up a big bulk of his day too; 72 percent of his work time is spent in meetings, compared to 28 percent alone time. There are times when his one-hour meetings he would often cut it to 30 or even 15 minutes. She also found that Do Yun value face-time: 61 percent of his communication was face-to-face, while only 24 percent was electronic (like email), and 15 percent by phone and letter. "Face-to-face interaction is the best way for me to exercise influence, learn what's really going on, and delegate to move forward the multiple agendas that must be advanced," she remembered him explaining when she asked why he needs to visit each department on a regular basis. "How I spend face-to-face time is viewed as a signal of what or who is important; people watch this more carefully than I could ever recognize," he further explained.
Do Yun suddenly came out of the room, "Pack everything up we're leaving early today," and headed out from the office.
"Oh..... yes..... yes Mr. Kim," Amor hurriedly brought his stuff with her and followed through.
"Where are we heading?" she asked herself. After driving for a few minutes Jack parked beside a Taekwondo gym, "He still practices Taekwondo?? That explains why he is still fit up until now," she thought. "I don't think he will ask me to wait for him," she told herself but as soon as he got out from the rear door he knocked on the front passenger seat's window. Do Yun was already walking toward the entrance of the gym when Amor caught up with him.
As soon as they got inside the gym someone greeted and bowed in front of Do Yun "Sabeomnim chukha hamnida! (Instructor, Congratulations!)" and Do Yun also bowed in return "Gam sahamnida" (Thank you)".
"I have not seen you for a while, what brings you back?"
"Basic Taekwondo kicks for her, please," Do Yun pointed toward Amor.
"Uhm..... Mr. Kim," Amor tried to protest but Do Yun already entered the locker room to change.
"Ma'am this way please," said the Taekwondo instructor.
"What did I do wrong to deserve to be beaten this way?" she thought.
There's a limit to the minutes in an hour but there seems to be no limit to what Do Yun can do to her.
