After having a long conversation with her children, Amor went inside their room to discuss her plan with her mother immediately.
"I will bring the children to Theo's house tomorrow but I will bring them back home here after a week."
"If you think that is the best thing to do then go on," answered Elizabeth.
"I will start packing their clothes now so that we can leave in the morning tomorrow."
Just then, Henry, Olivia, and Emma went inside the room also; "Don't worry ma I'll do my best to take care of my siblings while we are there," said Henry.
"Since you have discussed your plan with the children there's nothing more I need to say then," and Elizabeth went to her own room to sleep.
After Amor explained the situation to her older children Olivia protested, "So you will leave us there alone again to take care of father and my younger siblings?"
"Olivia, I know you don't deserve to shoulder the responsibility of taking care of your father and your younger siblings at your age but it is only for a week."
"I can take care of my younger siblings ma but I miss the times when we are together with father," cried Emma, and Amor is now in tears as well.
Morning came and they finally arrived at Theo's house and when she went in Evelyn just came out from the room, "Oh..... you're here" said Evelyn.
"Uhm..... I hope we didn't catch you at a bad time," said Amor.
"Aunt Evelyn we'll be staying here with father for a week," said Olivia as a matter of factly.
"Ah..... did Theo leave?" but before Evelyn can answer Theo came out of the room shirtless.
"Oh..... Amor, you're here, are you leaving them here now?" calmly asked Theo.
"Uhm..... yes, I'll come back next week to fetch them."
"Ah..... I'll get going now to buy some goods," said Evelyn.
"Oh..... I also need to go now," said Amor.
"Pa, can mother stay for a little longer since aunt Evelyn will be away for a while?" innocently asked Olivia.
"Uhm..... not for now Olivia I need to do some errands for your grandmother, Henry can you bring your siblings inside the room;" and Henry obediently followed his mother.
"Ah..... I don't think your mother is comfortable sharing the house with someone else Olivia so just let her be."
"Oh..... I think the children are too young to understand when is sharing not allowed."
"Uhm..... I..... I think you should talk about this between yourselves without the children."
"Ah..... why is this still such a big deal for you?"
"Oh..... I just can't talk sense with you, Theo. Henry, Olivia, Jacob I'll go now!!!!!" she cried out and left.
Her parent's house is only 1 kilometer away from Theo's but Amor feels she has been traveling for hours.
"Amor you're back, come in," greeted her father. "Come with me, your mother is preparing lunch for us."
"Amor!!!!!" greeted her mother. "You can stay here in the kitchen while I take out our lunch."
"Ma, can I talk to you for a moment?"
"Huh? Yes," Elizabeth's startled reply.
They left Daniel in the kitchen so that the 2 of them can talk in the living room.
"Do you think Theo and I are not meant to last together?"
"Why are you asking me this?"
"Theo seems to be happier with Evelyn, shouldn't I be happy with someone else also?"
"We live in a small town and people know each other. Who do you want to be with anyway?"
"I'm not thinking of anyone for now but if I decide to choose to be with someone else will my happiness last?"
"Happiness is a choice, if everything will go back to what it used to be wherein you don't need to leave home to work maybe Theo will come back to his senses and change his attitude toward you."
"I don't know how the children will accept it if I choose to be with someone else especially Henry," long-withheld tears have now been freely released and are dancing on her cheeks.
"I'm really sorry Amor but I understand how it feels looking at Theo happy with someone else but if you are destined to be with another then surely happiness will find its way to your heart."
"Thank you ma I guess I'll just cross the bridge when I get there but I hope I'll find the strength to tell the kids about it when the time comes," before Elizabeth can respond Amor stood up because her words have now turned into cries.
Going back to the kitchen brought her to reality again, her children are her strength without them she couldn't go on with the kind of life she has right now. Knowing how close her children are to their father, Amor doesn't know whether to worry about how they will accept her decision to enter into a relationship with another man or if there will be another man that can accept her and the kids.
Daanbantayan, as known by many, is the home of fascinating resorts and the entryway to newfound pearls of the north boasting her long stretch of white sand shoreline and crystal clear water. Henry took pictures where land, sea, and sky meet and blend seamlessly to form the postcard-perfect backdrop for Chaewon.
"Kuya (older brother) Henry!!!!!" shouted Olivia from afar.
"What do you want?"
"Who gave you that expensive-looking camera?" Olivia sat beside Henry.
"The daughter of mother's boss Chaewon asked me to take pictures of our hometown."
"Is she pretty?"
"She looked like any other Korean girls you see on the television."
"She must be pretty then, when do you think I can meet her?"
"She always thought about visiting our place, maybe if her parents will allow her then you can meet her."
"Where does she live in South Korea?"
"I think they're staying in Seoul."
"Why do they like staying here in the Philippines when it's a lot better to live in South Korea?"
"Their business is doing well here in our country."
"How's Chaewon as a boss' daughter?"
"She is independent but still makes some impulsive choices or poor decisions at times. She is a confident speaker and better at abstract thinking, problem-solving, and reasoning hypothetically so you can expect some interesting discussions with her. She enjoys spending time with me and always wants to help others. She may find it difficult to maintain an even temper but despite this, she's better able to understand the other person's point of view making her more open to reasoned arguments. Her parents support her in several ways. Mr. Kim communicates openly to her and answers her questions honestly. Mrs. Kim encourages her to be proud of her accomplishments and effort and supports her when things don't go so well which bolsters her confidence and self-esteem. Mr. Kim stays calm during her moodiness or emotional outbursts, which often stem from her asserting her independence or expressing her individuality and this usually prevents situations from escalating. Mrs. Kim gives her time, space, and privacy which allows her to sort through her feelings and makes her more likely to confide in them. Socially, Mr. Kim encourages her to take part in group activities and respects her friends, and meets her friends' parents, that's why he can identify and deal with any bad influences before they become a problem. Mrs. Kim involves her in family decision-making, giving her set chores, and shows an active interest in her education which helps her develop a sense of responsibility and also allows them to reinforce the positive values she needs for later life. She might seem more interested in what I say, but of course, she still needs her parents. Mr. Kim has a strong relationship with her that gives her the support and guidance she needs to become the successful adult they want her to be."
"I think you like her."
"Huh?" Henry's startled reply.
Henry tried to hide his feelings for Chaewon but what Olivia failed to see is the pain he feels inside.
