Love never gives in or up .....

Do Yun stood up, took the food from her hand, and sat on one of the black swivel chairs. "Did you get tired of sitting down and now you just want to stand up?" Do Yun asked.

"Uhm....." Amor pressed her lips harder not knowing what to say but sat on the other black swivel chair opposite Do Yun's.

"Is this what you had for lunch?"

"Ah..... no Mr. Kim," Amor turned to her side to face Do Yun.

"Well, you only brought 1 plate and 1 fork. Here have a taste," and Do Yun offered to feed her.

"Oh.....," Amor is confused about whether to open her mouth or to take the fork from Do Yun's hand.

"When do you plan to open your mouth?" he asked.

"Uhm..... yes, I..... I will have a taste now Mr. Kim," and Amor slowly leaned her body toward Do Yun's and open her mouth to eat the food he is offering her from his fork.

Do Yun looked at her waiting for a response, Amor knows how palabok taste like but the food seemed to have a different taste now that she just ate from the same fork that he used.

"Ah..... Mr. Kim the food tastes peculiar."

"Huh?" Do Yun let out a belly laugh. "Is that all you can say?? Known as the traditional Korean side dish, Kimchi is considered as one of the world's healthiest food. It is characterized by its spicy and distinct taste. However, the taste differs due to the fermentation process, ingredients, and weather. Kimchi can go along with different Asian and western main dishes. Thus, it makes Korean food more popular in the row of international cuisine nowadays. So there's no excuse not to find the perfect Kimchi for your meal. In the Philippines, Korean restaurants provide Kimchi as a complementary side dish for a main dish. Also, bottled and packed Kimchi is available in supermarkets. I'll make kimchi for you next time, okay???"

"Oh..... you don't need to Mr. Kim," Amor looked away embarrassed by his offer.

"Are you refusing my offer?"

"Uhm..... it's not that Mr. Kim, I just don't want you to be bothered."

"To refuse an offer is an insult."

"Ah..... I don't mean to insult you, Mr. Kim."

"Are you still refusing my offer?"

"Oh..... no Mr. Kim."

"It's settled then," and Do Yun ate the rest of the palabok.

When he was done he placed the plate on his table and Amor offered him a pack of wet wipes, "Uhm..... here you go, Mr. Kim."

"Thank you, Amor, I don't know if this is the right time to tell you this but since you're here might as well talk to you about Henry."

Amor suddenly felt particularly ridden with anxiety during this period of uncertainty, "Ah..... what is it, Mr. Kim?"

"The person whom I asked to look into this confirmed to me last week that Henry took a bus bound for Cebu City the day he ran away from home. He should be gathering information now as to his possible whereabouts here in the city and hope to hear from him next week."

This tough waiting game gives Amor a combination of two familiar feelings: uncertainty and lack of control, "Oh..... at least we're getting somewhere, Mr. Kim thank you."

The day has ended but not for Amor, she needs to give Olivia Hangul lessons so that she will learn the basics by next month. Never in her wildest dreams did she think that she will be teaching and learning a foreign language. She has always been insecure when she attends meetings with Do Yun's clients from South Korea because she could not understand them, but now she feels hopeful she can be a lot better as soon as she learns how to speak Hangul. She also promised herself to do better at her job since that's the only way she can repay the kindness that Do Yun's company has showed her ever since she was hired. Although she doesn't know when Do Yun plans to keep her as his personal secretary but she promised herself that she will repay him all her life as a debt of gratitude.

Driiiiin. Driiiiin. Driiiiin.

Having to stay awake for 22 hours 5 days a week, outside the quarter's everyone is busy attending to their own business as usual. She chose to wear a black back cut-out playsuit which was designed in an easy-going silhouette, the black romper is tailored in a jersey fabric, it also features an elasticated waist and she accessorized with a stack of bracelets, and stud earrings to complete the look.

Standing outside unit 1805, she straightened her romper and lightly knocked on the door thrice then David opened the door.

"Good..... good morning Mr. and Mrs. Kim," Amor stuttered but Do Yun only gave her a glance and continued eating. She saw Mila sitting on the sofa thus she sat beside her.

After about an hour of waiting, Mila suddenly stood up but before Amor could give her greeting Ae Cha headed out to the door thus Mila hurriedly followed. A few minutes later Do Yun came out from their room wearing a blue Boglioli slim-fit unstructured cotton-blend twill suit jacket thus Amor stood up and before she could give her greeting Do Yun headed out to the door then she hurriedly followed.

As soon as they arrived in the office, Do Yun went straight to his desk closing the door behind him.

Amor was checking on the technical specifications of her new laptop when her phone rang and the caller ID says Mr. Kim, "Hello Mr. Kim," she answered the call right away.

"Please get inside," and Do Yun ended the call.

"What a waste of phone credit," she thought.

She lightly knocked thrice and slowly opened the sliding door, without waiting for an invitation she stepped inside and closed the door, Do Yun looked busy in front of his computer thus Amor sat on one of the black swivel chairs.

"I need you to do some research about the advanced economic opportunities to inspire and prepare the youth for high-demand careers and lifelong learning through a focus on science, technology, engineering, and math education."

"Uhm..... yes Mr. Kim," she secretly gave him a sly leer.

"Close the sliding door behind you, I'll call when I need you."

"Ah..... okay Mr. Kim," Amor hurriedly stood up with no chance to protest and closed the sliding door behind her that separated both of their workstations.

After a few hours, Do Yun opened the door and Amor checked the time thinking she must have been late in submitting the report.

"I'll be back," and Do Yun left the office.

"Maybe he will take his early lunch now," she told herself.

Amor is going under and this time she fears Do Yun is not there to save her.
