Every time my heart beats .....

Seated on the sofa Do Yun was waiting for Amor in the living room, "Ah..... Mr. Kim, I'll now go-ahead to the other unit."

Do Yun stood up and handed her a paper bag, "Here."

"Oh..... what is this Mr. Kim?"

"I promised you a souvenir didn't I?"

"Was he serious with nail clipper cum keychain?" she thought. "Uhm..... thank you, Mr. Kim."

"If you're done in the kitchen you can now go to the other unit."

"Ah..... yes, Mr. Kim."

The day has ended but not for Amor, she needs to check on Olivia's progress in learning the basic Hangul lessons.

Having to stay awake for 22 hours 5 days a week, outside the quarter's everyone is busy attending to their own business as usual. To find the sweet spot between comfy and chic she chose to wear a navy shirt and skirt set which is tailored in a striped pattern, it features a cropped button-down shirt and a midi skirt with mock buttons paired with mules.

Standing outside unit 1805, she straightened her top and lightly knocked on the door thrice then David opened the door.

"Good..... good morning Mr. and Mrs. Kim," Amor stuttered but Do Yun only gave her a glance and continued eating. She saw Mila sitting on the sofa thus she sat beside her.

After a while Mila suddenly stood up and brought Amor's senses back but before she could give her greeting Ae Cha headed out to the door thus Mila hurriedly followed. A few minutes later Do Yun came out from their room wearing a beige Giorgio Armani double-breasted silk-blend suit jacket. As soon as they arrived in the office, Do Yun went straight to his desk closing the door behind him and Amor checked her email and it seemed that he already listed the things she needed to do for the day: manage communications including written, telephone, email, and voicemail.

2. Organize calendar by scheduling appointments, meetings, engagements, and daily activities, including running errands.

3. Coordinate travel for both business and personal arrangements.

4. Screen calls, email, transmittals, and visitors.

5. Prepare agendas, attend meetings, and transcribe correspondence from handwritten notes.

6. Coordinate onsite meetings, luncheons, coffees, in-house events.

7. File organization via Dropbox.

8. Input and edit CRM (customer relation management).

9. Coordinate direct email campaigns

10, Coordinate the hosting of in-house events.

11. Edit WordPress website

12. Greet and check in clients and other guests for meetings and events.

13. Perform office and personal errands.

14. Manage vendors and contractors at the office

15. Conduct ad-hoc research.

16. Draft simple spreadsheets.

17. Light cleaning and organizing.

It's already lunchtime but she's not done yet, "I might just take my lunch then," she told herself. She sent a message telling him she is now out for lunch but got no reply.

She went to the pantry and found a single table in the middle, "What does he like to eat?" she thought. Looking around the food stall she noticed inihaw na liempo it's like the grilled counterpart of lechon kawali, and like steaks, the secret is with the marinate.

When she got back into the office, the sliding door is still closed. Standing outside the door, she leaned her left ear to check if he is busy but could not hear anything. "Is he still inside?" she asked herself. Pressing her lips, she was about to knock when the sliding door opened and Do Yun was standing in front of her and she could not stop staring at him.

"What brings you here?" Do Yun asked.

"Oh....." Amor got startled she immediately turned around with the food in her hands.

"Amor?"

"Uhm..... Mr. Kim, inihaw na liempo," Amor faced Do Yun again showing the food in her hands.

"Huh?"

"Mr. Kim, inihaw na liempo."

"What are you blabbering about?"

"Inihaw na liempo? Food?? Hungry???"

Do Yun closed his eyes to control himself from being annoyed, "Am I the one who has not eaten yet? Why can you not make a simple sentence??"

Pressing her lips Amor slowly looked away, "How can I think clearly when you're too close I could hardly breathe," she whispered to herself.

"What?"

"Ah..... I just brought inihaw na liempo Mr. Kim I will go back to my desk now," Amor waited for Do Yun to get the food but he just stood still.

"Don't look up," she thought but her head slowly moves up to meet Do Yun's gaze again.

"You're making me gain weight."

"Huh?"

"You always bring me food."

"Oh..... I'm sorry Mr. Kim I didn't know you were on a diet, I just thought you were working very hard and it's not good to think with an empty stomach."

"If you have met my mother then I would think she asks you to do all these for me."

"Uhm..... is that so Mr. Kim? I'm sorry I made you miss your mother."

Do Yun took the food from Amor's hands, "She also treats my father the same way she does to me if they come and visit us here in the Philippines soon surely she will enjoy your company."

"Enjoy my company?" the thought of her spending time with his mother made Amor blush. "Ah..... with that Mr. Kim I can only hope she will indeed enjoy my company."

"Yes, what a pity."

"Huh?"

Do Yun realized he said something he didn't understand, "Are you done with the communications?"

"Oh..... I'm halfway there Mr. Kim."

Then Do Yun left and closed the sliding door behind her.

Once seated she took a deep breath and let out a sigh, "Am I going to survive in one piece?" she asked herself.

Now that she has edited all the letters, she sent an email to Do Yun immediately but to her dismay did not receive an immediate response. After a few minutes, Do Yun opened the door and left the office. While checking on the calendar and appointments she organized earlier her phone rang and the caller ID says Jack, "Hello Jack," she answered the call right away.

"Hello Amor, Mr. Kim is waiting for you in the car already."

"Uhm..... yes, I'm on my way out," Amor hurriedly stood up took her belongings, turned everything off, and locked the door.

As soon as she arrived in the parking area, she immediately got inside the front passenger seat. "Sorry to keep you waiting Mr. Kim," she apologized but Do Yun only closed his eyes.

She can only feel sorry for herself for not wanting to talk even if she needed a moment with him before she goes.
