Chapter 5: The Santalune Gym
We all ran out of Santalune Forest, through Route 3, and got to Santalune City. Immediately I went to the Pokemon Center to heal up and get some more items. Everyone else went to the trainer school, but I was a hardcore pokemon fan in my past life. I didn't need to go there. So, naturally, I went to the gym, but a trainer was in my way.
"You wanna go to the gym? Well, you're gonna have to go through me first!" the trainer said.
"Let's go, Zigzagoon! Use Tackle on whatever he brings out!" she said, excitedly.
"Fronja, use Power-Up Punch," I said, bringing out Fronja.
The attacks collided, but Power-Up Punch had the upper hand and easily took out the Zigzagoon.
"Wow, you're strong! Here, have these!" she said.
She gave me some roller skates and skated away. Now that she was out of the way, I could take on the gym with no more interruptions. Then it occurred to me that I don't have anything super-effective. And her levels were above mine. Time to train on Route 22. So, of course, I went there and I remembered that the yellow flower encounters were higher leveled, so I went for those. And the first pokemon I find is a Litleo. Perfect.
I brought out Fronja and made my eye blue, cuz I knew that I would need to get serious for this battle.
"Fronja, use Bubble, then Power-Up Punch," I said.
Fronja used Bubble, but Litleo used Ember to counter it. The steam makes a perfect cover, so Power-Up Punch was useful since Litleo is part normal-type.
"Use your Power-Up Punch multiple times, like a Close Combat," I said.
Fronja rushed forwards and attacked Litleo, defeating it.
I threw a pokeball and caught it. Immediately, my watch dinged.

Huh. Neat. Good stats and very high speed. Only 2 more levels and he'll evolve into a Frogadier. Anyways, we're ready for the first gym. So we headed back and went into the gym. All of the battles were easy, since we had an overleveled Litleo. And finally, I made it to Viola.
"Well, you finally made it to me," Viola said.
"Let's cut the chatter and get this done," I said.
"Well, you like to get things done, huh? I guess we'll start then. You are allowed 2 pokemon, and you can switch out if needed," Viola said, bringing out her Surskit.
"Alright then. Let's do this," I said.
I brought out Litleo and got ready for my first Gym Battle.

"Alright Surskit, use Quick Attack!" she yelled.
"Dodge and use Fire Fang," I said.
Surskit came straight for Litleo, but he dodged with ease and bit Surskit with flaming fangs. And easily knocked it out.
"Wow, you're good. Vivillon, come on out and use Infestation!"
"Come back, Litleo." I flashed my eye blue. "Fronja, come out and use Water Pulse," I said.
Vivillon came out and used Infestation on Litleo, but I took him back fast enough that it wouldn't affect him. Fronja came out and sent a powerful Water Pulse towards Vivillon, knocking out of the air.
"Vivillon! Can you still fly?" Vivillon nodded. "Then use Tackle!"
"Dodge and use Water Pulse," I said.
Vivillon came at Fronja, but due to his high speed, he easily dodged it and used Water Pulse to take it out.
------------------GYM BATTLE END------------------
"You did great, Vivillon. Return. I really didn't expect you to be that good. So, I award you with the Bug Badge!" she said.
"Thanks. I had a lot of fun battling you. I hope I see you again, when we're both stronger. See ya!" I said, leaving the gym.
Surprisingly enough, Serena and the others weren't out of the Trainer's School yet, so I went onwards. Route 4 was easy enough to get through. I trained Sage up to level 13 when he learned Vine Whip and Fury Swipes.

Stats are good, and we just need to find a Leaf Stone and we're good. But something's off. WAIT! Sina and Dexio aren't here. That's what's wrong. They're supposed to be here to tell me about the Fairy-type, but I already know about that, so I guess I can go to Lumiose City.
In Lumiose, the North Boulevard electricity is out, so all I can do is head to Professor Sycamore's lab. I went straight to Prof. Sycamore's floor and soon, I would get another starter.
