We Are the Strongest!

Flames began to come out of Blaziken's wrists. Its fur grew to make an X on its face. Black fur grew on its legs. It had Mega-Evolved.

"Well then, I can't let this go on for much longer or else your speed will become too much to handle, haha! Fronja, let's match her. Go all out with everything you've got!"

"As if you could! Blaziken, put everything you've got into a Flare Blitz!"

Mega Blaziken began to heat up all of the surrounding area, covering itself in flames and causing a crowd to appear to see what the cause of heat was. On the other side of the field, Fronja was putting all of his Water energy into a single ball. I wondered what he could be doing. Eventually, both of them were ready to release their attacks. Blaziken burst towards Fronja, leaving a trail of fire behind it. Whereas, Fronja turned his ball into a blade with a water dragon surrounding him and its head on said blade. He burst forwards, wielding his blade, ready to strike down the Blaziken.

The two attacks clashed in the middle of the battlefield, with a power so great, it leveled the battlefield itself. Everyone around had to cover their eyes due to the power of this clash. However, while covering my eyes, I tried to look and see what was happening. And all I could see was Fronja rapidly slashing and slashing away at Blaziken's Flare Blitz. And slowly, surprisingly, he was winning. He was winning! I jerked my arm away from my face and yelled out to Fronja.

"Yeah, Fronja! Give it all you've got! Prove you are the strongest!"

And in a last scream of power, Fronja downward slashed Blaziken's Flare Blitz, cutting it in half, launching Blaziken away. Once the people surrounding uncovered their eyes, what they saw was a large amount of steam around the battlefield.

    "Clear the steam."

Fronja slashed his blade from left to right, somehow clearing the steam of the battlefield. And when it was cleared, we could all see Blaziken, on the ground. But it hadn't lost its mega form. So that means… It's still ok?! Once I realized this, it got to its knee, looking dead into Fronja's eyes.

    "Finish this."

"Blaziken, don't let him! Sky Uppercut!"

The two rushed at each other once again, Fronja bringing his blade down upon Blaziken's energy covered fist. The two clashed in a burst of strength. Both of them were shot backwards, Fronja on one knee and Blaziken on both.

    "Now! Flurry of punches!"

    "Eh, counter them with slashes."

The two rushed at each other and began to exchange blows. For each punch and kick, there was a slash to counter it. They went about this for a while, but it was clear they were getting even more tired than they already were. So, I decided to finish this in one fell swoop.

    "Fronja, get him away."

He did a big slash, knocking Blaziken away due to the brute force of the attack. And, not even what I intended, he froze Blaziken. But I knew this wouldn't last for long. Fire types don't get frozen long.

"Now, end this with another slash."

    "Flare Blitz!"

    Of course.

Blaziken burned through the ice with ease as Fronja was rushing towards it. However, this created water. Fronja realized this and instead of hitting the Flare Blitz from the front, he spun around to the back, hitting the water up into the air. Then, he easily turned the water into kunai and hit the back of the Flare Blitz, ending the attack and launching Blaziken over towards me. But again, it didn't lose its mega form.

"Well, your Blaziken is very resilient, I'll give it that. But will that be enough to defeat the strongest?"

"Absolutely! Ya know why? Cuz I'm the strongest here! Blaziken, get up and end this with Focus Punch!"

But Blaziken didn't get up. It stayed on the ground, still conscious, but only barely.

    "Blaziken, I said get up!"

    It didn't.

    "Blaziken? Can you get up?"

And once again, it didn't get up.

"Fronja, don't end him. Just come back."

Fronja walked back towards me, dissipating his sword into thin air. Scarlet rushed over to see her Blaziken, and see what had happened.

"Blaziken, if you can, release your mega form, please!"

That was all it could do before fainting.

    "This battle is over."

Scarlet brought Blaziken back to its pokeball before running back to the pokemon center. Mint and Teal followed her. The crowd around us began to dissipate as they saw that the battle was over. After they did, I walked back to the pokemon center as well, where the other three were. Walking inside, I saw that they were all sitting at the same table as they were before the battle. Naturally, I walked over and sat with them.

"So, is everything okay?" I asked to break the silence.

"No, everything's not okay! I just lost to someone who just got their fourth gym badge! FOURTH! That's shameful when you plan on participating in the Kalos League with that person! Now I have to dread the day I have to fight you again in the League! UGH!"

"Wait, you're planning on going to the Kalos League?"

"Actually, we all are. We decided we wanted a new challenge, so this was our idea!" Mint said.

"Oh, I did not know that. Well, that means you might have another chance! Maybe you could win next time. Who knows?"

"Shut up and go get another badge, Black. I don't want the one I just lost to in my presence."

    "Okay then."

I got my pokemon quickly healed and then walked out of the pokemon center. I went out to Route 13 and realized this was not an ideal place to stay long. The place was literally a desert! So, I ran very quickly through the Route in order to get to Lumiose City to find a hotel or something. After a good hour, I made it. Right through the Route 13 gate, I was in Lumiose. At this time, the lights were beginning to come on in the city. And in the middle was Prism Tower, all light up against the setting sun. It was a beautiful sight to behold. But I have quite a few things to do here before I leave. First things first, a place to stay. In Lumiose City, there's but a single hotel. Hotel Richissime. Guess that'll have to do. And then it hit me.

    Money.

Something I need to survive in this world.

And this was a seven-star hotel with a rate of 100,000 pokedollars to stay in for a single night.

'Hey, Corbin, how exactly do I get money in this world?'

'You will earn money when you work or complete pokemon battles against other trainers. Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, and Champions give the most money. However, by working, you can earn even more money. As of right now, you have 120,000 pokedollars.'

Hold on. I don't think I heard that right.

'How do I have so much?'

'The amount of battles you have completed against tough opponents.'

Oh. Okay then. After learning this, I put on my skates and skated over to Hotel Richissime. With this being such a large city, the moon came up before I even got there. I walked in, and the people inside looked extremely fancy. I felt out of place. And they all looked at me weird, like I shouldn't have been there in the first place. Great. Naturally, I walked up to the front desk where a receptionist was standing, looking straight at me with another weird look on her face.

"Hey, I would like to get a room here for tonight."

"I'm terribly sorry, sir, but all of our rooms are booked. We have no open space."

I mean, I knew being a kid in this world would have its disadvantages, but now I'm being declined a stay at a hotel? Just great.

"If I told you I had the money for a room, would you stop lying and let me have a place to stay for tonight?"

"Well, if you have the money, I wouldn't have to lie. But since you're a child, I cannot allow you to make our guests uncomfortable with you disturbing their stay. I ask you to leave before I call security."

"And how would you know I don't have the money? Are you my mother or something?"

    "Sir, please leave."

"All I want is a place to stay for tonight. Can I have it or not?"

    "Security!" she yelled out.

And in a matter of seconds, three security guards with a Bisharp, Gallade, and Aegislash came out of the door next to the desk, so of course I backed up and brought out three of my own pokeballs.

"Look, I didn't want to cause trouble. But if you're gonna call security on me for wanting a room, then I guess this is how it has to be! Come on out, you three!" I tossed my pokeballs up in the air and out came Fronja, Son Goku, and Luca. The four of us cracked our knuckles(don't ask how Fronja did that), and got ready for battle.
