Black Vs Calem(3)

"Élec is unable to battle. Tamao is the winner!"

"Gah! You beat me again! Élec, come on back. Garma, it's your turn!"

"Tamao, come back. Son Goku, let's do this."

Calem threw out his pokeball just as I did, revealing that Garma was a Gengar. It clearly wasn't his signature, but I could tell I might have a bit of trouble with it. When he came out, he laughed. Not unusual for a Gengar, but Son Goku got a little enraged. His flames sparked up for a second before he calmed himself down.

"Alright, Garma! Let's start this off with a Shadow Ball!"

"Fire Punch."

Garma stuck his hand out and fired off a Shadow Ball extremely quickly. But Son Goku was ready. His hand was already covered in flames, and he swatted the Shadow Ball away with his fist. Then, he lurched forwards at insane speeds, as usual. He punched the hell out of Garma, sending him flying. Clearly, Son Goku was still a little worked up.

"Now, Double Team!"

Garma immediately righted himself midair and split into multiple clones of himself. And each of them were bouncing around like nothing was wrong. They surrounded Son Goku, but he stayed seemingly calm.

"Barrage him with attacks!"

"Dodge them."

Now see, I thought he was just going to barrage Son Goku with a single type of attack. And I was very wrong. There were at least 30 clones, and they each used one of 6 moves. Some used Thunderbolt, some Focus Blast, some Energy Ball, others used Sludge Bomb, there were some Dark Pulses, and some Shadow Balls too. I think they were coming in equal amounts, but I don't know. And yet, Son Goku could still dodge most of them. And those he couldn't, he blocked or deflected. And in a matter of seconds, most of the clones were gone.

"Take the last few out."

"Use Poison Jab!"

The six clones that were left all rushed towards Son Goku with their hands glowing purple. Son Goku covered his hands in flames and prepared to defend himself. He blocked the first hit, and with two quick movements, the clone was destroyed. The next came from the back. He blocked with both hands and did a backflip to kick the clone in the face, destroying it. And the third came in with both hands, ready to barrage Son Goku with hits. But he quickly punched it in the face, launching that one away and making the other clones disappear. The real Garma barely was able to right himself midair and stay floating.

"Now, barrage him with attacks. Use Close Combat."

"Garma, use Protect!"

Son Goku raised his fists, one covered in fire and the other in electricity. He dashed towards Garma, and he almost hit him. But Garma got a barrier up just in the nick of time. Not that it would matter. In about 3 hits, the barrier had shattered. And in about three more, Son Goku slammed Garma down into the ground, making a huge crater. And when the dust settled, the result was clear.

"Garma is unable to battle! Son Goku is the winner! The winner of this six-on-six battle is Black!" Hilbert called.

We both called back our pokemon and walked towards the center of the battlefield.

"Wow, you really are good. I commend you. Congratulations!" Calem stuck his hand out.

"Thanks. And thank you for the really fun battle," I said, shaking his hand.

"You got so serious during the battle. And honestly, your voice just had no emotion. It kinda sounded condescending," Calem said.

"Oh, really? I didn't even know that, my bad."

"No, no, it's okay! I admire that you can get so serious for a battle!"

We continued to talk for a little while before I started to feel like I needed to get back to reality. I thanked the group for their help before reciting the phrase on my hoodie.

"Endlessly, I wait for freedom." And in a large flash of white light, I closed my eyes and left the Dream Realm. When I opened my eyes again, I was back in the bed at the hotel room I had gotten. I felt tired. Really tired. I tried to get up, but my body was so exhausted, all I could do was sit up. I guess the backlash of having a safe haven of endless training was that afterwards, I'd be exhausted. Sucks, but definitely worth it.

I mustered up the strength to take off the hoodie and fell back onto the pillow. And as soon as my head hit it, I fell back asleep. Who knows how long later, I woke up to banging on my door.

"Black! Are you okay? You haven't come out of your room all day!" a voice called out. As I continued to wake up, I realized who was speaking.

"Mint? What are you doing here?" I said, sleepily.

"I was worried about you! I thought you were leaving today! You did say that was happening, right?" Mint responded.

"Uh, yeah. But you just woke me up. What time is it, anyway?" I asked.

"It's 3! In the afternoon!"

"Holy- really? Guess I slept in on accident," I said. I still could barely move, but they didn't need to know that.

"Yeah, I think you did! Open the door, I'm coming in to make sure you're okay," they said.

"I don't think that's gonna happen. I can't really move, and I'm pretty exhausted. So I'm going back to sleep." I closed my eyes, and slowly, the world around me began to fade away. Mint said something, but I couldn't hear. The sleep was too enticing.

That is, until my door burst open. In that instant, all I could feel was fear. Well, fear and sleepiness. I turned my head slightly to see that Mint had burst in.

"Why-"

"I'm taking care of you today! And you don't get a say in this matter!"
