5. Application and Exams part 2

The next trial or test that took was the general battle test. This was a compulsory exam for any applicant as many of those who possessed stories were expected to have at least some sort of physical ability. The general battle test was held in an underground stadium underneath the school and located within the mountain.

The stadium was large and with a giant stage that could be seen to stretch for a couple hundred meters. There were seats which aligned the sides of the main stage of the stadium. The floors of the stadium were grey and above the stadium was a capsule like area for viewing appearing to be for important people such as VIPs or possibly even the headmaster herself during events.

The whole stadium was buried within the mountain, hollowed out with a dome shaped top. Small floating lights that gave of a dim blue and white hue lined the sides of the arena lighting that whole place.

Jun's group took an elevator from the main building of the school down all the way to the stadium area. The elevator led to a dimly lit passage which lead to the arena.

In the middle of the arena a short girl who stood to about 155cm with short jet black hair, she wore cargo pants and army boots and a black shirt. Despite having the stature of her child the group immediately knew that this was the battle instructor.

The passive aura she gave off made people feel nervous. Jun En looked at his hands and realised his palms were sweating profusely. The instructor closed her eyes and looked towards everyone and giving a smirk, her eyes lightly opened revealing her grey iris.

"Welcome fresh blood" a strong voice echoed out, it was neither high nor lowly pitched.

The group stood on the stage of the arena arena staring at the small person with a strong voice.

Muffles could be heard from the group as the instructor started to speak.

"My name is Felia, I am the main combat instructor within this school. Today I will be accessing you on basic combat skills."

As soon as she said combat skills the muffles between applicants became louder. People could be heard complaining left and right.

"Why do we have to do these combat abilities test things, we are healers what's the point" a girl with red hair spoke out in complaint.

'Ho'. Felia smirked at that remark

"Are you assuming healers don't need to fight and won't get hurt when providing medical assistance during combat. If you're thinking that way, then kid you'll be the first one to drop dead!"

Her words echoed through the arena, immediately the girl who spoke had no other questions and remained silent.

"Great now let's begin"

At that moment the instructor Felia said something incomprehensible to everybody

"Ok let's do this, I'll give you a handicap. All of you come at me at once."

Everybody was speechless. People thought she was crazy, despite them not being exactly combat or battle class, a group with such significant numbers would definitely take her down. There were around 200-300 applicants in the current group, all against one there was no way that they would lose.

However feeling the pressure that came off of Felia nobody complained.

Rather it made them think that they had an easier time to pass this test if this was the case, well that's what they thought.

Jun En wasn't exactly unfamiliar of this, he had read many stories and knew that there had to be some confidence or truth in her strength to be able to say that. There were two possibilities, either she had the strength to backup her words or she was all bark and no bite. So like any sane person he slowly moved to the back of the applicants away from Felia, he sat down on the arena ground and waited.

'I'm just gonna observe, I'll decide what to do later'

The one's who thought they had a chance and were overly enthusiastic ran ahead.

"What are you doing she is just one person, if we can beat her we can past the exam easy, even if she is strong she will tire fighting us all"

"Yeah let's gang up on her"

"Yeah quantity over quality"

The last comment made Jun En laugh a bit. At that moment as mutltitudes of people tried to pounce of Felia, she stood her ground, lifted her right leg up and stomped. The stomp sent a shockwave throughout the stadium. Despite Jun En being a ways away from the action, he felt the shockwave through his body and felt slightly light headed.

He shook his head and quickly observed what had happened. At that moment Jun En couldn't help but smile at this newfound scene.

His smile turned into a grin that stretched from cheek to cheek. How interesting everything was absolutely interesting. He could feel that his life would a little more unpredictable now.

A little more dangerous

A little more coloured

A little more….fun
