Adam's POV

I had stayed for extra two days, I needed to know how long Malcom was with Azzrail, why he was alive. So I did get a bit of info, but whatever happened that night after I passed out, only my father knows.

I plan on speaking to him as soon as we land. I am getting suffocated in this plane, I don't know if it's the events, surprises that have been popping up or if I am just afraid of flying.

My mother wasn't part of our kingdom, she had come here to see one of her friends, my father saw her, fortunately, they were mates. She was forced to leave her little village, I have never gone to my mother's place, I have never met my relatives from my mother's side either. There are so many things that are unclear, I need to know both sides of the story.

I have no choice but to ask my father all this. Malcom was an amazing brother to me until he found out we're actually half-brothers. My father loved Malcom more, I would understand. He was an amazing fighter, he shifted into his wolf form at a very young age of 10, he always made my father proud, he was the perfect King. Everyone in the kingdom, loved Malcom, they worshipped him, they were so happy that the next heir to the throne was going to be an amazing man.

Malcom never made me feel less about myself, he made sure I never felt less about myself, my big brother. I was always happy for him, he said that he wanted me to be next to him even when he becomes King. He trained me, always defended me in front of my father, whenever my dad would hit me, he was always there to treat my wounds and make me laugh.

A lot has changed, Malcom was never my brother, my mother wasn't the amazing woman I thought she was, my mom was forced to mate with two men. And me, all these people changed me.

I can't pull Dawn into all this, why would she want to be part of this, I am a mess, a literal mess that can't be fixed. All I can do is hurt people, I couldn't save the woman who gave birth to me, I lost the brother I had, my father never wanted me, the whole kingdom doesn't want me as their King.

I am being selfish thinking like this? I am not sure. Right now, my first priority is to keep my kingdom safe, then just explore my roots, my mother.

"Alpha, we will land in exactly 2 hours, do you want to go to the palace first or somewhere else. We can inform someone to bring your car "he wasn't even looking at me; he was looking at the ceiling a talking.

I feel so confident being King right now. Fucking idiots, can't even look at me in the eye, "I don't want to go to the palace right away, bring my car I am going to go see my mate first. I suggest you all take the rest of the day off, the day after tomorrow every single warrior and even the secret squads need to assemble behind the palace at 7:00 pm sharp, inform everyone now! 'I didn't want more stress, I was just tired, dealing with my family. Or whatever is left of it.

I knew Dawn's bright smile, her laugh echoing through my ears would be the perfect remedy for whatever monsters that has to awaken in my head. Would my mother approve of Dawn if she were here, I wouldn't know, I got merely 12 years with her, all those years she never failed to make me feel safe and happy.

I sat in my seat, kept staring at the moon, it was always so bright and beautiful. I remember, my mother always wore this necklace, the pendant was a moon, she never took it off. She would always tell me stories of the moon when I was a little kid, I was always fascinated by the tales she would tell me.

I sighed heavily, I didn't even realize I was holding my breath. In a few minutes, sleep welcomed me and I immediately drifted off.

"Everyone can head home, I will see you all day after tomorrow, do not be late "I buckled myself with the seatbelt, headed to Dawn's house, I texted her earlier before landing and apparently the doctors and the nurses got worried about her spending so much time in the hospital and it wasn't healthy.

Within 15 minutes was outside her door, at least I don't have to be worried about meeting her parents, she lives alone. I rang the doorbell, expecting to see Dawn's beautiful face.

"Alpha? OH my goodness, please do come in"Fuck, her mom. I had screamed at this woman a few nights ago, shit shit shit.

"Mrs. Stone, it's a pleasure to finally meet you "I tried forcing a smile, but her face showed pure evil, what was I supposed to do. I walked into the room seeing a man; probably her dad sitting in the living room.

"I am actually Mrs. William, please call me Linda. Dawn doesn't share the same surname as the rest of the family. This is my husband Shane. "Her smile looks that of a Cheshire cat. Creepy

Shane got up, to shake my hand "Hello sir, I am Adam "Dawn looked mostly like her father, By the way, he held my hand, I am guessing he doesn't like me.

"So Adam tell me how are you associated with Dawn? "I gestured me to sit down as her mom went upstairs, why is it so hot here.

"Well, I am guessing you know that I am the Alpha King and Dawn is my mate. I came here to see her "

OH please, I knew that already, I hate to admit it but I love it when she gives me a hard time. She is Alpha, that's great, if she becomes Queen, I won't need to sit and tutor her on how to rule, she already amazing at it.

"I hate to tell you this but Dawn is my mate, I will let her keep her place as Alpha of Bloodstone pack even when she becomes Queen, I know how annoying her can be, I wouldn't want her in any other way "I immediately received a death glare from him, I was supposed to agree with him!? Or does he not want Dawn to be Queen

"What are you doing here? "Both mine and Shane's head turned to see a very angry looking Dawn, I am pretty sure if I looked close I could see the steam coming out of her ears.

"Hey Dawn, I just got back thought I'd see you "I went over to her but realized that her dad was right here and wouldn't like that. he'll probably kill me

"Adam, you just got back, take some rest, I'll drive you back or you can stay here."She was giving me cold replies, what is with her today

"Dawn sweetie, you can't have another man in the house, your dad and I will be leaving soon, it's better if you just drop him off "She looked directly at her mother then at me, an evil smirk formed on her lips. Oh no

"Actually Adam is my mate. This is my house, I will decide who leaves and who stays. Plus, Adam and I had really gotten the time to physically bond, now didn't you say you had to be somewhere, bye mom and dad. "I-ah-what-um-hmm WHAT! what does that mean?

Her dad immediately got up and headed towards the front door, not forgetting to hit his shoulder forcefully with me on the way. Her mom just threw a disgusted look at Dawn and left.

As soon as she shut the door, Dawn burst out laughing, eventually fell on the floor clutching her stomach laughing, I could see the tears form in her eyes as I just shook my head in defeat. This girl.

"Okay come on designated driver, take me home. "I didn't plan on staying at her house, I mean I didn't want to intrude on her privacy

She got up from the floor. finally,"Hahhahhahah you should have seen the look on your faces,so dumb. Stay here today, you can sleep in the living room. I want to make pasta either way, if I cut my hand and bleed to death then who's going to find me, so stay and help me cook "I guess she's ordering me around now.

We both headed to the kitchen, and she kept giving me the wrong directions to where everything is. We were off to a great start

"TOP SHELF RIGHT CORNER! HOW THE HELL DO YOU NOT GET THIS "she's pointed left and saying right! she's driving me crazy!!

"THIS IS RIGHT THAT IS LEFT !! GOD WOMAN KNOW YOUR DIRECTIONS !!"She quickly turned away and walked to the fridge, took out a can of crushed tomatoes, I decided to do the onions, bad idea. My eyes kept watering and every two seconds I had to lookup

"Ouch, fuck! Damn it! "I heard Dawn hurried footsteps behind me, she immediately removed the onions and put them away. She started putting pressure on my bleeding finger.

"Okay, no more cutting for you, I'll bandage you up and you can work on the sauce okay "Why is she so worried, it's just a little cut, I feel like a little kid being bossed around by her.

Soon everything was back in its place, she was dicing the onions while I kept adding a lot more cheese than I should have in the sauce.

"Adam passes me the garlic "I guess we could have a little fun while cooking too. I walked as slowly as I could to her

"Adam the garli-. What-at a-are -y-you d-doing? "I trapped her, she looked away as I kept my hold firm on the black kitchen counter

"I am us trying to get close to my mate "I pushed her chin up to meet her cat-like maroon eyes. Her cheeks were covered with the prettiest shade of pink.

"Adam, come on we need to finish cooking. Is this because I've been ordering you all day? 'I rested my head on her shoulder, my nostrils filled with the scent of sandal and the ocean and berries. I stayed there for about 5 seconds before I was forcefully pushed away. "That is one thing, you know very well how to get on my nerves. . She put the hands on my face, the same hands she used to cut the fucking onions. Fuck! Shit. I rushed to the sink and splashed cold water on my eyes, I turned to see Dawn's amused face staring at me.

I took some water on my hand and splashed it on Dawn, who was now having water all over her face .

"YOU MORON !!COME HERE!!""oops, I guess I made her angry, I quickly dogged her sharp nails and ran to upstairs. She was already behind me; I am guessing this is going to be a night I won't forget
