chapter 18: Survival

"What!" yelled Raven as he dodged two of the summoned snakes. But time is not something he has. because just as he was on his feet. another snake wanted to take a bite out of him. Quickly Raven got his ninja sword out of his storage tag on his belt, to defend. while he parried the teeth of the snake, another own was trying to take a bite out his flank. 'Crap!!'

Thinking quickly, he substituted with a log full of explosive tags. The ones he keeps in his storage tags.

BOOM, one of the snakes has been blasted away, while the other had his head blown off.

"Ah, you killed one. That won't do. Summoning Jutsu."

Another two snakes showed up. While trying to defend himself against the three that were already summoned, the other two now were sneaking up his back. just when they were going to attack. Two explosive tags went off, hurting the two. And warning Raven that something was sneaking up to him. In the split second, he had to turn the saw two more snakes. 'Are you kidding me?' But much time to ponder on the new development, he didn't have because he had to Body flicker away. A Kunai came after his head.

"Keep your head in the game, my little toy. My pets aren't done yet."

Then a snake came out of the ground, trying to eat him. He substituted away and started to make signs. the place he just arrived was going to be attacked by two snakes.

"Fire release: great fireball technique"

And a fireball flew at the attacking snakes. But the situation didn't turn in favor of Raven. the two snakes didn't even care about the fire, yes they were wounded, but only slightly. Now Raven had to dodge two snakes that were on fire.

While dodging he tried multiple times to greatly wound the snakes or to decapitate them. After killing yet another snake, two more were summoned by Anko. Raven was thinking this will not end. Then he thought of something. While defending he took out some smoke bombs and threw them on the ground. while the smoke was rising.

"Why did he do that? He won't be able to see the snakes. What is the .... ah crap."

Now Anko had to dodge.

BOOM, a Kunai with an explosive tag not far from the spot she just stood exploded.

"sneaking brat, when..." but then she had to Body flicker away. Because a hand was trying to grab her from the ground. Raven exited the ground, then had to defend against a snake again.

"Almost had her."

"You sneaky little toy, you almost had me with that earth release: headhunter Jutsu. I bet you learned that one from Kakashi? Nice try thou," But she had to defend as well because a Raven clone snooks up to her and was now trowing Kunai and Shurikens at her. While the clone was keeping the summoner busy, Raven tried to finish the snakes. But that was wishful thinking just when he killed one of the snakes. Anko had already finished the clone.

"So you know the earth clone Jutsu too. Too bad you against beautiful me."

Raven flickered again to get some distance between the snakes and him. then he took out his Shurikens. And started using them to fend off the snakes. he even threw some at Anko to try to keep her from summoning more snakes. he failed but he did try. But it was not all that easy for Anko, yes she could just finish the battle, she is a Jonin after all. But she had to keep herself in the game, with the surprises that Raven was throwing her way. Sometimes an explosive tag showed up where she was, or she had to dodge because she didn't see the Shadow shuriken that Raven threw. there was even a time, he tried to get her with the manipulated shuriken but it seems that he doesn't have much experience with that technique because it mist.

After dodging another shuriken from Anko, a smaller snake finally got to bite him. he did get some small wounds, but none of the snakes had bitten him before. the small snake got him in the left arm. after quickly killing it, flickering away. he cut off his circulation of blood by binding his arm off.

'Damn, that hurt. but I bet the snake also has poison. I'm through half my chakra reserves. Now I have fewer options with the maybe poison that is running through my body. I still have 4 more snakes to defend against and Anko. This is going to be ruff.'

Just then he heard the bad sound again. "summoning Jutsu" And three more snakes show up.

'that crazy woman,' And Raven had to defend himself again.

But then one of the new summoned snakes rushed at Raven, not to bite him. No to ram him. Surprised Raven defended but not only was he push off his feet and send flying, his sword broke in two.

While landing on his back, two snakes came after him. he tried to fight them off, but didn't notice on time he was fighting with a broken sword. So one of the snakes could take a swipe out of his right leg.

When the snake wounded his right leg it did gave him the opportunity to kill the snake. then he saw that the snakes were grouping up, for a group assault. He didn't have much time to plan a solution because right after they started the assault.

Raven thought, 'Fuck it.' then he dropped his ninja sword, then took out his tanto. he also had enough time to take out a few tags. then the snakes arrived.

one went for his right leg, the other for the left, then two others for his arms. The one who broke his sword went for his body. and two stayed back a little to see where he will run to.

then he used body flicker to the back of the ramming snake, placed a few tags, and the substituted away because he was then attacked by the two remaining snakes. when the snakes turned to Raven to try attacking him again. Raven made the sign, "KAI"

And the explosive tags on the snake exploded at the same time. BOOOOOOOOM!!!!

taking out most of the snakes. Even Raven was sent flying.

after the smoke cleared, one snake was still standing, the others were either blown to pieces or heavenly wounded. Raven got back up, but his vision was getting to him. Just when he was going to fight the last snake, he got knocked out.

"Well, that's enough. Can't kill my new toy the first day can we."

It was Anko who knocked out Raven. She then unsummoned her snakes and took a look around. She then took Raven to the Hospital, to get medical attention.

...

- In the hospital -

Raven was laying in bed completely wrapped up in bandages. She got an earful from the medical staff, but she didn't care. She was looking at her new toy thinking.

'He has great movability and awareness, and his swordplay... it seems lacking something. I see the teachings from Kakashi, but we have to change that, hihi. because even though he can defend and attack, it is like he misses the flexibility to switch between the two. I will have to help his body by breaking ... Uhm helping his body be more flexible. I don't really have a problem with his stamina. His future girlfriend might, hehe... I also have to make him immune to poison, can't be my genin, and not be immune to some poison. My pets are going to have fun with that, can't wait to see his face. We will also look into cracking up his Jutsu reserve. He only knows some basic Jutsu, that has to change. I've thought about maybe giving him the contract with the snakes, but I don't think he and them are going to fit, I'll give the suggestion but I don't think it will work. After that we will have the stupid stuff as well, don't we? Chakra control exercise, survival training, basic crap ... really not looking forward to that. ... Maybe I can dump that on another Jonin. Yes, maybe that can work, hehe... What more, ah yes have to talk to the old man. this sucks, but I heard from big sis Kurunai that he likes to learn Fuinjutsu. Don't see why though? Now that I think about it, don't I have some stuff left from my other Big sis. I will have to check, I really miss her, she was fun. But does have to be earned, because they are mine... Yes, a massage here, torture there, ... great plan. Ah, he's waking up. time to be the beautiful, sexy Sensei again.'

Raven was waking up, but couldn't figure out where he was. then he saw Anko. He was going to ask but she beat him to it.

"You're in the hospital."

"How long?"

"5 years."

"What, you got ... "

"Hahahahaha, that you believed me. that's hilarious. No, I brought you here after our test. It's only been a day. Yukino has already been on a visit. Oh and don't tell her it was me ok."

"And why wouldn't I tell her?"

"Well, because as your sensei, I CAN MAKE YOUR LIFE A LIVING HELL, ok?"

"Ok, deal." he responded in fear, "Wait, sensei? then I passed?"

"Well, just barely. but you did pass. congratulation Raven, your a genin now. And I'm your Sexy Sensei."

"Lucky me," He said with sarcasm.

"Yes, you are," Anko didn't notice "But don't think you will get an easy ride. once you're out of here, we will break... Uhm, train your body to my standard. Trust me, it will be fun."

Raven was getting scared at that.

"Just rest up. In a week we will get started. I've got to check in with the Hokage, so see you later." And she went out of the window.

"Doesn't she ever take the door? Well, whatever. I'm a genin now. Let's hope I can survive the teachings of Anko-Sensei."

And Raven went back to sleep
