Happy Mutation Day!

Today was Friday; a rainy day; Venus was wearing her white dress with black waist ribbon, white headband, black hair braided, and black Mary Janes. She walked out of the apartment with a black cloak with a hood around her with her umbrella headed for school. The day was not getting any better because Jordan and Venus would not be able to go to Central Park like they usually did every Friday because of the downpour from the rain. Venus told Jordan they would meet at Central Park tomorrow after school before Jordan went into the car with her mother because she had a doctor's appointment. Venus walked home in the heavy rain, not paying attention to the light being green someone put their arm out in front of her to stop her from crossing the street.

Venus watched the light, hoping it would turn red while thinking a semi-truck came around the corner when a blind man started walking into the street; the truck honked his horn and swerved with the load doors opening with a medium-size canister came out. Someone pulled the blind man back onto the sidewalk before the car hit him. Venus was walking with wide-eyes, not seeing the canister hitting the concrete splattering right in front of her. She finally walked into the apartment late because the police asked her about the accident since she had a clear view of what happened. Venus placed her umbrella in one of the hooks on the wall by the door. She pulled off her hood to her cloak with her aunt walked over to her with a worried look on Venus' face.

"Venus, are you okay we hear on the news about the accident," asked Margret in shock.

"Yes, I'm fine. I want to go to my room to be with Mimi," answered Venus, slowly walking to her room.

She closed her door, putting her backpack on the floor by the door, and took off her cloak, placing it on the back of her desk chair. She walked over to Mimi's aquarium, picking her up and grabbing one of her books sitting on her bed. Mimi rested herself on Venus' lap, taking a nap until Venus read her book, placing Mimi back into her aquarium, feeding the pellets she bought at the pet store. Venus looked down at the bottom of her cloak, seeing strange-looking glowing green liquid. Venus took her hands, wiping it off when it was off her hands were starting to burning violently she was rubbing her arms to put the feeling back into her hands, but it made her arms start burning. The burning continued throughout her body to where Venus ended up passing out because the pain was too much for her to bare.

A few minutes later, Venus woke up with head pounding slowly, sitting up with her hand on her head. Rubbing it, she could not feel her hair opening her eyes to look at her new reflection in the closet doors. Venus was a humanoid turtle. She thought she had a terrible dream. Venus was pinching both arms to make sure Venus wasn't dreaming. She wanted to scream though she didn't want her aunt and uncle to discover her form. Venus opened her closet, pulling out her light blue dress with a maroon waist ribbon. Going over to her jewelry box, she pulled the balance symbol yin and yang, which was her father's. Venus searched in her desk drawers for a pair of scissors and finally found some in a backpack. She cut out a ninja mask, which she braided, tying her black hairband to keep it in place.

She found the sewing basket her aunt gave her to practice sewing and grabbed the fabric glue back into her closet. She untied the waist ribbon spreading it out straight and placing sealant in the middle of the fabric, then some on the pendant's back, placing it on the material. While it was setting, she cut the rest of the dress, tying the fabric around her elbows, wrists, and knees. She secured the maroon cloth around the waist, taking the scissors cutting it extra length short but still long enough for retying it. She put her black cloak back on and pulled her weapons out of the closet, strapping them to her back. She also pulled her shoulder bag out of the closet, walking over to the bookshelf, placing her books she loved a lot into her purse.

She grabbed Mimi, then placing her on her desk, opening her window going onto the fire escape then grabbed Mimi again. Venus jumped down, landing on the ground; she found a utility hole cover placing Mimi on her left shoulder while lifting the lid off. She headed down into the sewers replacing the utility hole cover on climbing down the ladder, landing on the ground. Venus continued to walk throughout the maze of sewer tunnels, wondering where they could rest. For what seemed like hours, she finally came to an abandoned subway station that looked like the 18th century; looking around her new surroundings found a room a little bigger than her old room. Then there was another room she thought would be great for her new dojo.

She went to the main room finding a couch to lie on, taking Mimi off her shoulder, placing her on the couch, taking off her weapons, placing them on the floor next to the sofa. She took off her cloak, then picking up Mimi, then lying down, covering them up, and sleeping. She started to cry for everything she happened to do with life was now changing, and was not going to tell anyone about what happened to her because she did not want them to call her a freak. The day or night, she was unsure precisely whether she was regretting leaving the clock behind. Venus did not want to go topside to find out until she was ready to go anywhere.

She continued her mediation in her dojo room, where she was practicing her ninjitsu and Shinobi skills. She continued to feed Mimi her pellets until she ran out, and Venus knew she had no choice to go topside to find her some food. Venus put her cloak back on, and her weapons re-strapped to her back. She walked out of her lair, going topside, and it was night up here. Venus went onto the rooftops heading for her aunt and uncle's apartment. She was a couple of blocks away when she was getting mugged in the alley across the street, and it was her friend's well old friend Jordan. Venus pulled out her bow and arrow, shooting it at the mugger scrapping his arm. She jumped onto the building then jumping on the goon, hitting both goons with a splint kick.

"Thank you for saving me," said Jordan sighing with relief.

Jordan ran out the alley heading to where she was going in a hurry. Venus feels heavy-hearted about not telling her only friend she was a humanoid turtle underneath this black cloak.

"You're welcome, best friend," she mumbled underneath her breath.

She jumped back the rooftops jumping around the way Venus headed to her apartment, and she was on the fire escape looking to her room. Looking through the window to find it was empty and all her things were gone, somebody locked the window. She went to the roof and then jumped off, looking at the china shop window to find it too was empty. She found a note taped to the door read: We have moved back to Japan because we have no life here anymore, and if Venus, our niece, is reading this, we hope you are doing fine. We love you so much and hope you'll call us. "(Random number)."
