April

Monday has never felt so long and boring. I guess I can blame it on the fact that Jordan and I are not on speaking terms. I tried to focus on work and even that didn't help. I decided it was time to go see him in his office when noon came. 

*Are you in?*

I stared at my phone and read his reply that came in almost immediately. 

I arrived on his floor to meet Belcarlis at the reception. 

 Something about her keeps me off. 

"Hi April" she faked a smile even a ten-year-old would be able to tell it's not genuine. 

"Belcarlis" I faked a grin just so she'd know two can play this game. 

"Be careful April, a broken heart is hard to fix. I hate to see you get hurt but in all honesty woman to woman, Jordan is just messing with you and would soon tire of you. Better you run now before it's too late."

"I'm not running anywhere Bel, I don't know what your plan is and I don't care. Jordan and I love each other and that's all that matters"

"They all said that. Anyways I meant no harm. Just wanted to make sure no one gets hurt. The two of you would surely make adorable babies. I've got to go now. Do take care" she air-kissed me on both cheeks before walking into the elevator. 

That bitch. 

"Is there something I need to know about you and Belcarlis? That lady is a nightmare" I said after walking into Jordan's office. He seemed unbothered about what I said and I know why. 

"I'm sorry I kept Sean's matter away from you. It was wrong of me not to confide in you about my problems and I promise to henceforth tell you everything. A bold step but I can do it." I cleared my throat and looked at him with all sincerity and expectant of his reply. 

This man if not anything is a god behind the wide desk. How did I get so lucky? A smile suddenly escaped my lips on that note. 

Jordan slowly rose from his seat and took calm steps towards me.

I looked at nothing but his eyes as they pierced through every restraint in my body. 

"Thank you" He whispered and I kissed him so hard like a starved maniac. 

"Did you ever date Belcarlis?" The words came out abruptly but damn it! I needed to be sure of where she stood and stands in Jordan's life. 

"Bel?" He laughed "Glad to know my girlfriend's the jealous type" 

"I'm serious Jordan. She seems extremely territorial to matters that concern you. More like she doesn't even want me to be with you" 

"I have never dated her and I'm guessing the only reason she's like that is because of my past relationships. All the women I've ever dated were either after my money, fame or they just wanted to taint my already destroyed image all thanks to the false dissemination of articles." 

I wanted to understand her from Jordan's point of view but there was still a loose screw that felt more like a threat.

All I have is just a hunch and nothing more. 

"How about a makeup sex tonight at my place coupled with dinner and watching fifty Shades the trilogy?" I kissed the tip of his nose. 

"Sounds like a perfect plan" He kissed the crown of my head and as I turned to leave, he spanked my ass.

"Jordan!" I chuckled and made my exit.

"I'm coming" I screamed with a mouthful of pancake as I made my way to the door entrance. 

I opened the door and invited Jordan in. 

"What's all this?" He was holding five bags in hand. 

"I brought wine, pizza, and a few gifts for my girlfriend"

I collected the bags and settled on the nearest chair to unravel the gifts. 

A Cartier necklace

A box of red roses

A box of Victoria secret lingerie. 

"Jordan? I feel like I'll have a new set of 

 Lingerie every week at this rate. Did you actually go to a store to purchase this?" I held the lingerie box in the air. 

"Yes." 

"That's so sweet of you Jordan"

"It's the least I can do when all i seem to do is ruin them" 

We settled on the Sofa and decided to watch Fifty shades of grey, darker and freed. In between the watch, both Jordan and I were aroused. I could feel his erection against my head rested on his cock area. 

"I'll go get the wine from the fridge"

I returned with the wine in hand and two glasses. I poured the content and handed him a glass. 

The movie ended around half past twelve and we decided to call it a night. He took a shower and settled in short briefs before joining me under the duvet. 

"When you told me you had a crush on me in high school and I walked away, that was probably the most regrettable thing I've ever done. There were times I remembered and wondered what you were doing at the moment. What you looked like now and whether you're married, in a relationship or engaged. You hardly upload on social media so it was hard to tell what you were up to and that's why I knew I had to find you. I hired someone to do that and he gave me all the details in premium" he chuckled and continued 

 " he told me where you worked, the podcast, and the weird thing was the fact that Vanessa and Jason knew each other long before this. I'd known Vanessa but she hardly talked about her friends when we gathered at Jason's. At first, I wanted to message you on social media but it felt like a cowardly approach so instead, I moved headquarters to your building and prayed that our paths crossed. It did and the funny thing was you couldn't recognize who I was so I decided that was fate working in my favor. The whole trip to Italy made me realize I've wanted you all along and I am the luckiest man to be given a second chance with you. I Love you April Denver"

"Jordan" I whispered and kissed him passionately. All this while, he'd been there. How did my life turn out to be so perfect? 

I cupped my palm on his jawline and deepened the kiss like my life depended on it. 

"I love you too Jordan," I said, breathless. 

"Oh, I know April and I want you to tell me that every dawn to dusk" he kissed the crown of my head and I settled in his embrace until we both slept off.  

I want to go to sleep and wake up to see this man beside me. I've condemned my rules and ready to start anew with Jordan Crossfire.
