After Alison's response, they were left in silence as Alison began to eat her baguette and in between took sips of her orange juice.

"Okay then so how about this weekend are you excited to head home this Wednesday?" Dean asked to change the subject.

"What do you mean?" Alison froze, "Oh yeah for thanksgiving! Um yeah, I miss my dad and Alex and Anna will definitely be glad I'm home. What about you?"

"Oh um well I'll stay on campus this year since we are all apart," Dean shrugged.

"What do you mean? If you don't mind my asking," Alison's eyes shone with regret after realizing what she had asked.
