Wait and survive

Days were going smoothly but one problem arose that was the boar meat was expended. Though I had 100 traps. It would bring only four rabbit worth of food. It's potential was exhausted. Now I had to hunt myself which I was unwilling to do because I didn't have much ability to defend myself against wolves or any other predators. I thought deep for a while and an idea 💡 popped in my head. I ate a rabbit first. Carried 20 of my bone daggers and my steel dagger. And went toward a certain direction. There was a large monkey tribe. One monkey was little larger than others. It was probably the alpha monkey here. I observed for a while. I waited for few hours but but the monkey did not do what I wanted. I waited patiently. I ate another rabbit. Then the alpha male came to the ground where a female was sitting. I knew that monkeys had sex on the ground and not on the trees 🌲. An average monkey would have sex for 3 to 4 minutes. While they started doing it, I used my breath concealing technique to erase my presence and step by step I approached closer. With in 1 minute I was 40 steps away. In the 2nd minute, I was 20 step closer. In the 3rd minute, I was 10 steps closer. I did not move. I kept observing. I knew that it took male monkeys more than 6 seconds to cum. So I waited so opportune moment. I knew that when it was ejaculating it was practically defenseless. Suddenly, the monkey thrust its partner deep and stopped for a moment. I knew this was the chance. I closed the distance in 3 seconds. Other monkeys noticed it but the alpha male could not because it was in its moment of ecstasy. I used all my ki and jumped. I didn't want to damage the fur of the monkey because it was humanoid and perfect clothing for me. So, I plunged my dagger directly into its head and it was a instant death. Seeing this other monkeys rejoiced. When a alpha monkey dies, other monkeys fight for the female monkeys that alpha was screwing and free food of course. Suddenly one of them came forward and I ran away as quickly as possible. It went to previous alpha male and kicked it and went to the female. It then plunged its dagger into her. But after a while another monkey stood out. It's seemed as if it was challenging the monkey who was stabbing the female monkey repeatedly. But the fucker monkey didn't pay attention to new monkey. So the new monkey got enraged and charged towards the screwing monkey and bit it. They were fighting. I took the chance to drag the monkey corpse. I was lucky but I had calculated enough knowing the behavior of monkeys. I am also hoping another monkey dies in leadership fight. I went way with the corpse. Though it was not as good as boar but it would last me for 5 days easily. I went back to my castle. Skinned the monkey a little and ate it. Well I didn't need to hunt for 5 days. I ate and slept that day, satisfied. Next day I went to the monkey territory to find another corpse but it seems that there was none. But one of two monkey were definitely missing. According to their character, after losing the battle for the throne the loser would behave the group. So, I went for the lone loner monkey now. I searched for a while. I found the monkey in a miserable state. Two of its legs were broken, one of its eyes gouged out. So I went to it.

Killed it and dragged it back to my castle. I had food for more than 10 days. I was hoping that mom would come sooner to bring me food.

So days went by my traps increase to 250. I caught nearly 8 rabbit worth of food. That alone was more than enough to survive. So days went by. 10 days. 20 days. The monkey meat was done but I could still survive with rabbit worth food. But I wanted to more. Since goblin could grow up to 2 foot with in 5 days of birth and 3 foot with in a month. But after that goblin would not grow much. The tallest goblin would be 4 feet at most. But after three feet goblins would grow slowly, even slower than human beings. I was much slower than goblin child but much faster than human one. I had already grown more than 2.5 feet in more than 50 days. 3 feet would be my bottleneck. But that was enough to hunt monkeys, mountain goats and stay safe from wolves.

Slowly my 2nd month of birth was over. But mom had not come back. Elders must have been keeping watch over her. These elder really want me to die, don't they? They think that I disgrace goblin with human appearance and goblin gob will be angry with them blah blah.

My food stock was finished. Rabbits were getting lesser by the day. Most importantly winter was coming so I needed to stock food before hand. I had a month to stock some good stuff. One day I woke up to find another food opportunity but this was slightly dangerous because wolves had attacked mountain goats. When they had come down to graze. Two mountain goat were immediately captured but rest of them fled. One of the last fleeing was slightly injured. So a wolf climbed the mountain but it seemed as if it had underestimated goats mountain climbing ability. After chasing the mountain goat for around 100 feet. Mountain goat suddenly turned around and kicked the following wolf. It was a brown wolf lowest of the wolf class. It could not react to it and fell down. It's hind legs were completely destroyed. By this time other wolves were retreating with their prey. So I took the risk of being discovered and threw the dagger. It hit the wolf's body but it did not kill it. It was gravely injured. Knowing behavior of an wolf I knew it would call for help but I would not give it the chance so I threw all the bone dagger at him which made slightly superficial wounds in its body but 40 of them were enough to make it agonize. It finally took it last breath. I got excited. Not because of the meat but because of the fur. Though, brown wolves are the lowest class wolves. It's fur war warmer than black wolf and grey wolf. I had already made a high neck and trouser from monkeys skin now I will make a super overcoat and cap for winter. I took the game home and stayed indoor for 10 more days and finally the day came. Mom was here.
